Clements Family: It was our first time with Halftime Pizza on a Saturday evening. The atmosphere was wonderful. Our server was Andy! Very funny and welcoming. Family friendly and nice place to unwind. Recommend to anyone who likes pizza and tasty comfort food. read more

Love the pizza!! Really stuff. The homemade dough is real. Great people working there. Convenient.

I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at this local restaurant left me no choice. The biggest problem wasn't the staff or the crowd--it was the manager, Anthony. From the moment we walked in, Anthony was shockingly rude and unnecessarily loud. Instead of helping customers (unless you're an attractive woman) or maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, he spent most of his time flirting and laughing at himself . He routinely creates a loud and disrespectful disposition and laughs it off. This night we practically had to beg to get the Texas girls basketball game on but as soon as the Spurs started all TVs shifted to that. He said I warned you! I would appreciate an explanation. Not a warning I never received. A good manager sets the tone for the entire establishment. Unfortunately, in this case the tone was arrogance and aggression. Hospitality clearly isn't a priority here. Staff looked stressed, customers were being talked down to, and the whole experience felt more like being scolded than being welcomed. There are plenty of places where the atmosphere is friendly and the management understands basic customer service. Until this place addresses the behavior of its management, I'd strongly recommend spending your time--and money--somewhere else. read more

It's good but they are definitely not abiding by the law.... Take a look at your receipt next time you're there. See that "Dual pricing" charge? Now take a look around... Not a single sign related to it. ILLEGAL. While "dual pricing" is legal, Halftimes practice of it is not, with not a single sign explaining their use of "dual pricing" to be found. Shame on you. God only knows how much you've dicked your regular customers out of with this illegal practice. Customer beware... USE CASH! read more

If you're looking for amazing pizza and the best vibes, this is the place. The pizza was absolutely delicious -- perfectly cooked crust, fresh toppings, and flavor in every bite. The heart-shaped pizza for Valentine's Day was beyond adorable. Such a fun, thoughtful touch that made the night feel extra special. The staff was welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed night out. And the beer and wine menu? Total bonus. A great selection that pairs perfectly with the food. read more

First time at Halftime Pizza and the food did not let us down. We had the wings, a slice of pepperoni, and a caprese salad. All were really good. The game was on and the staff was friendly. I am definitely making this one of my go to spots from now on. read more

Halftime pizza is my go-to neighborhood pizza joint. On this occasion, I ordered a pepperoni pizza with mushrooms, onions, black olives with extra sauce and baked crispy. The pizza is a ready for pick up on time, looks delicious, and fills my car up with a great aroma as I drove home. When I get home, I sprinkle on the parmesan and hot peppers and dig in. The crust is nice, crispy and the ingredients all blend together so well. Great pizza at a good price, can't beat that. Btw, they also have great wings and onion rings. Can't wait until next time. read more

Really wanted to try this place and left a little disappointed.Made the order online for a pizza / wing + 2L take out special and when we got there it wasn't ready. She told us 20 mins we came back in 10/15min. Pizza was cold to the touch but when reheated at home it tasted good. Wings were good but we felt like small for what you pay got. Garlic knots were a free item with online ordering and glad they were because unfortunately they lacked in flavor big time and were also cold.No flavor just doughy bread. On top of that they ran out of 2L and she gave us two cups of coke but eh thinking back we should have just asked for a refund on that part. read more

The pizza was in my opinion sublime, the prices are also somewhat cheap. I enjoyed eating their pepperoni pizza while watching the Super Bowl halftime show with Bad Bunny read more

So disappointed to not have the specials they advertised served. We come here regularly for spaghetti night and today, they "ran out". At 6 pm. However, several other customers nearby our table mentioned they didn't serve it knowing they'd have a packed house for the Spurs game. Again, so disappointing to have a restaurant run gimmicks instead of keeping their loyal customers happy. read more

Halftime Pizza is the heart of our neighborhood hangouts. It's is where we can catch great games, meet up with friends, and bring visiting family for a real taste of our local spot. The pizza rolls are legendary--crispy and unique --and the pizza and wings never disappoint. Add in cold beer served fast and a staff that makes everyone feel like a regular, and you've got the perfect game-day destination. read more

Server: Bridget I decided my brother & I would try a new pizza joint and decided on Halftime Pizza only because it was the closest. I always choose something I've never tasted before so we had the Entire Chicken Enchilada Pizza & the Pizza Rolls. I always feel food is better at the restaurant vs delivered..it's fresher & hotter. OMG!! Delicious!! If you don't like cilantro you won't like the pizza. I am a cilantro fanatic. Best pizza I have ever had anywhere by far!! Amazing! I literally gave the chef Anthony a hug who was a doll! Our server Bridget was very sweet and timely. The pizza rolls were crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and delish! Lots of sports screens for sports fans. I had an ice cold beer. They've acquired a new lifetime customer! read more

Oh my gosh this calzone was soooooo good. The crust is also stuffed with cheese, the garlic tasted fresh, everything was perfect. I stuffed my calzone with ricotta, chicken, and spinach. I really want to try the pepperoni rolls; they seem to be very popular and really yummy. I also bought a lava cake with ice cream and yeah, I demolished it. It was all so delicious and can't wait to take my friends for happy hour. read more

I had been an Halftime Pizza fan for many years and we even had a birthday celebration here once but I don't know what has happened recently that the customer service has declined. I was with my family a couple of weeks ago a the server came up to us and the first thing she said was " What can I get you to drink?" Not, hello, welcome, how are you all doing? Then when we placed our pizza order we waited and waited then we asked our server and she said she knew it was running behind. The restaurant wasn't busy! We still waited 45 more minutes until we got our pizza. When we walked out of the establishment the whole staff yelled very sarcastically as we walked out "Thank you!" read more

The location on Bandera is a great place to go great specials, great food and great people. That's what makes the experience good. Ryan. the manager is always there to greet you. He will tell you the specials he will tell you what's good he would tell you what he wants and he'll just talk to you even though the place is busy great service great refills again great food. I like to go because other specials the spaghetti and meatball special is second to none a lot of spaghetti, good size meatballs that special will fill you up and even take it home go visit them you won't regret it ask for Ryan. read more

I would not recommend eating here. I have seen employees drop pizza rolls, dough knots, wings, etc on the ground and then dust it off on their dirty apron and back on the plate. Employees eating and touching their face, mouth and blowing their noses and then going back to handing food without the decency of washing their hands. The wings are stored in the same container that are used to bus and pick up soiled dishes. And that sign that talks about no frozen food will be served there, and that it's all made fresh....not accurate. Everything other than the pizza dough, and the pizza roles is all frozen, and deep fried to thaw. read more

I've been to Halftime Pizza about 3 times and have gotten good food and goof service at all times. Their wings are very good as well as their pizza. If you don't want to order a whole pie, they sell pizza by the slice. I ordered 2 slices and a water and my total was no more than $9. It may seem like a high price to pay and you'd think $6 would be reasonable now but those days are long gone forever when you factor in inflation. Sure it may be a bit more higher than what you'd pay at Sam's Club but it's cheaper than Ali's Pizza on Walzem where they charge $13 for 2 slices and a drink. I've yet to try their pizza rolls. They're struggling for business now since COVID and the current economy is hurting them so go eat there as often as you can, Tezel or Bandera, doesn't matter. But Tezel location is my go to spot since it's the original and is located in a quiet area far away from the hustle and bustle traffic on Culebra and Bandera Rd. read more

Halftime has always been our go-to for great pizza and wings. Last couple times we've ordered, including this evening (May 4th) was a disaster! We ordered through Uber Eats and it took well over 2 hours to get our food, which ended up being cold! After the first hour, My fiancée tried calling the store to check status and no one would pick up the phone, I'm sure it's b/c they saw his name and number in caller id! . He was in contact with the Uber Eats delivery driver who was keeping him posted, stating she's been waiting as well. The delivery driver actually gave the phone to the manager so he can speak with her. Deliver driver is the one who kept us notified of any updates b/c again, no one would answer his calls. Now onto hour 2, I called from my phone and what do ya know, they answered! I asked for the manager, she was the one who answered. She's trying to explain they were busy and only had 2 in the kitchen then informed that our food was given to someone else. Of course we were upset as we've been waiting well over 2 hours and had spent nearly $60.00! She apologized, offered a refund and said she'd call Uber eats but if she couldn't get through, she'd have them call us. I asked for a call back from the owner as well. 12:33 am May 5th, and of course no call back from anyone! I feel bad for the delivery driver as she had to sit and wait as well! We'd still like a call back from the owner!!! Do better! read more

Since moving to San Antonio this one of my favorite places a couple time in and the servers and management welcome and treated as if I had been a regular since day one. The burger is my favorite menu item for being a pizza place but I seem to go there more for the people behind the bar one of the best parts of this place is no matter how busy they don't forget you super attentive and Candice always has a good attitude and again always on top of your drink and food order read more

Meh. Not anything worth coming back. Pizza Hut has better pizza and pricing. If you want a beer and watch any good sports game with O.K. bar food, this might be your place. And no, I didn't mix this location up with another, never had any of their beers. Can't say anything about it. read more

We ordered through Door Dash and it took Halftime Pizza an hour and 20 minutes to make, not including the time it took to deliver. The food was not worth waiting for at all. The meatballs were made with mostly pork and they were greasy. The giardiniera was missing on the Chicago Beef Sub. The cannolis tasted subpar. We were disappointed. read more

First time having their pizza. WOW! Really impressed and new favorite pizza spot. The best pizza I have had in a long time.

Great local pizza joint in SA! Great happy hour specials on beer and pizza rolls plus daily specials that are worth a visit. With that being said, I dont live too close to it but its worth the straight drive to get here. The pizza is a great solid pizza with a sturdy and crunchy crust and ample toppings. Pepperoni was not greasy and had a nice light spicy flavor. The wings are worth a visit as they are plump, flavorful, and covered in a nice sauce. Buffalo was sauce was really nice amd all came out piping hot. read more

Absolutely GREAT experience. Me and all my friends had a great time watching basketball and eating pizza. The food came out on time and freshly made. The ranch and marinara were high quality and service was quick and easy. The scene is enjoyable and kid friendly. Absolutely love this place!!! It's your neighborhood bar with great drink and food specials and also have the games on! They have happy hour daily and usually have their pizza rolls as one of te menu items. Highly recommend you try the pizza rolls along with the space dust beer. Great combination and delicious taste. If your trying to catch a game they have plenty of tvs all around so you can't miss anything regardless of where your sitting. Our waiter Ryan was great! He usually works at the other location but he happened to be there that night and he had exceptional service. Very attentive, quick and made enjoyable conversation. If you can..make sure to ask for him. Halftime is a local neighborhood bar and great place to go and get away after a long day at work. Oh and they offer take out on their food as well! read more

Always great food and service! Good selection of beer. Good amount of TVs to watch your favorite team.

I am a big fan of Haltime on Tezel. It is close enough to my house for me to walk to it, but in this hot weather, I usually only walk home for the exercise rather than getting there sweaty and stinky. I really like the meatball sliders, but my favorite thing there is the bourbon bacon pizza by the slice. I actually find myself craving it and head over for a few beers and a slice fairly often. I have met groups of teachers here several times for happy hour. They are bat-ship crazy for the pizza rolls. I am always awestruck by the huge platters of them sitting in our table. The servers here are awesome. They are very attentive and always get my orders right. I love the selection of craft beers. I wish it got changed out a little more, but it is s good selection. I also wish they would bring back the red sangria which was very popular with my wife and others. The chicken enchilada pizza is amazing, but I eat too much. I prefer to buy pizza by the slice. By the way... the slices are cheap on Tuesdays and they are Huge. I have to count them as 2 1/2 on my meal plan. read more
