I come to this spot cause of the management and the staff created from, Johnny is the best. I have had only one problem and he handled n a instant. This place is neighborhood and on certain nights the traffic is CRAZY. When the mistakes happen he is always on top of it and solves it instantly. Very impressive. I have been here a bunch (forgot to ck in cause MAYBE I WAS DRINKING) and he is ALWAYS checking on the customers. He is properly strict with the staff and it creates a customer first environment. I have seen newer servers dislike him but when they see their money grow because of his discipline they understand. I tried real hard to like this place. Pizza was too thin and soggy to eat with your hands. Bottom of the box looked like so. Other than that, a decent pizza. On a previous visit I picked up a calzone. Instead of coming in a cardboard box, it came in a Styrofoam container. I thought that was the reason why it was so soggy. After getting the pizza, it might be a different issue. I don't know what the fix is, but if they can figure out, like almost every other pizza place on earth, how to deliver a non-soggy calzone and pizza, I will come back. read more

Unfortunately thought this place was going to be promising and they have let us down. Ordered a delivery only to find out the one meal I ordered for my daughter didn't get accounted for. The manager "Jack" said they would give a credit, yet to see it and won't be surprised if we do not get it. We won't be eating here again, so we won't need it anyways. The ranch tastes like mayonnaise, disgusting. My mango habanero wings were nothing close to mango habanero as they put NO SAUCE AT ALL, dry AF wings, very unfortunate. It's obvious they do not pay attention to detail, they don't take pride in the food their serving, they pick and chose who they give good customer service to, &&&& they don't care if your child eats! It's a great place to get together with some friends and watch a game while eating some good pizza and drinking a beer. The pizza is not mind blowing in any way but it's not bad. Homey feeling environment, big screen protector TVs, great variety of beer, fast service, and oh yeah PIZZA what more could you ask for? I stopped by here for lunch, on a Tuesday and enjoyed their $2 slice lunch special and it didn't disappoint! I ordered 2 BIG slices of pepperoni pizza well done for the extra crisp and the flavor was on point. They seem to be freshly made to order. This will be one of my new regular lunch stops. The lemon buffalo wings are okay, I may be more of a tangy buffalo person, and perhaps I needed to hit up the wings, but I didn't taste what was so special about the wings. The pesto pizza was great, I wish that the toppings were more evenly spread and more of an even number of each toppings. The pesto pizza seemed a majority of halved cherry tomatoes that didn't bake nicely into the pizza. The pizza tasted fresh, so i definitely appreciated that. The specialty pizza is $13 for what appears to be a medium sized pizza. Chicken on the pesto pizza was nicely cut and had good flavor to it. read more

Pizza is good, wings are good, frankly what is very good in my opinion is their pizza rolls. I know it sounds crazy but that's the best thing on the menu in my opinion. They should honestly rename them, rolls makes me thing of the microwave ones and these are much larger and flavorful. I know other places name them something different like bites or twists which i think would be better. Anyway, is a good place the pizza is a bit pricey to its quality in my opinion but the ambiance is good for lunch with family or friends. read more

I really used to love this place especially their home run babies. I got a small last time for just me. It wasn't even cooked. I had to put it in the oven and cook it more. The bottom was white today. I got another one and I told them please make sure you cook it right last time. It was not fully cooked. Good food...pizza is good, good crust, right amount of cheese, although I would've liked a few more pepperoni on my pepperoni and black olive pizza it was still good. I've never figured out why a pepperoni pizza is literally covered with pepperoni but as soon as I add a second topping the number of pepperoni is cut like by 60-70% ‍. Also had the garlic cheese bread which was very good! Sauce is very tasty, liked that very much. They're pizza rolls are the bomb! I do ask for extra sauce with those as the sauce is tasty. Tried this place a couple months ago. Positives first, the ranch is bomb. Is probably the best ranch I've had. I grabbed their pizza rolls and a regular pizza with pepperoni. The rolls are so dry. I promised Anthony the manager I'd make a review since he made some special request volcanic wings (ask for Anthony's volcanic sauce if he's there). You'll give birth to a dragon the next morning if you're into that kinda thing like me. The BLT pizza is my personal fave with a side of fantastically made wings. The staff treats you like family and you can feel the love and connection and even community when you eat here. Ever since covid hit the economy most buisness just haven't been the same since, but halftime (the one on tezel) has only gotten better. Decided to give these guys an upgrade from 4 to 5 stars. Amazing food and amazing service. We have been in 3 times now and I'm really a huge fan. I crave their pizza rolls just about constantly. If I recall correctly they are only $1 per roll everyday from 3-7, killer deal! Can't beat these prices for such good food! We came on a Monday recently and they were doing $.50 wings. We got their new peach siracha and their mango habanero. The mango habanero was way too sweet for my liking but the peach siracha was AMAZING. So good! We also tried their Asian steak salad and that was really good. Check their chalk board menu near the bar for specials. I haven't tried any yet but they often sound really yummy! Every time we go the employees are super friendly. The food is cheap and amazing! We tell everyone about this place and can't rave about it enough. I can't wait till they open on Bandera! They need to change their name to Halftime Wings. Pizza is meh. I get the sense that their equipment isn't keeping up with their popularity as earlier visits turned out better pies than they do these days. These days they are doughy, undercooked in the middle. Back in the day they were a superior crust with a crunch to the underside and excellent toppings. Not anymore. But the wingies. Dear St. Jude, the wingies. I'm not a connoisseur of wings, I admit. I eat them at Super Bowl Parties and occasionally buy the big bag in the grocery frozen section when cooking just isn't going to happen. I am also in possession of a lily-white ass that has a rather low threshold for spice (hey, at least I far outstrip Old Aunt Diana who complains if there's too much black freaking pepper). All this considered, it was a Thursday and I forgot to take chicken breast out of the freezer for dinner, so we ordered out for wings. Halftime had 50 wings for $40 and we were dang hungry, so we got 20 Sweet Teriyaki, and 10 each of Tangy Buffalo, Spicy BBQ, and Mango Habanero. I'm writing you from the muddled haze that follows three glasses of wine and more wings than I can count. I thought we'd have lots of leftovers for weekend lunch. We don't. We have three wings left. Three people ate 47 chicken wings with vigor and aplomb. The Tangy Buffalo and Spicy BBQ...I don't know which was which, honestly, but they were different and I'd have a hard time telling you which I liked better. Neither was too spicy for my conservative palate. The Mango Habanero. I made Hubby and The ManChild try them first and verify that they wouldn't make me die of heat. They were excellent. Fruity. I think I ate six. The Sweet Teriyaki...I ordered double of these thinking I'd just try one of the other flavors and have to share these with the manfolk. Ironically, though they were delicious, they were not my favorite. Of all the wings, they were the closest to being overcooked, but still excellent and far yonder better than anything you buy frozen in a bag. The bottom line: this is the spot for wings. Forget Wing Stop. Forget Buffalo Bill Wild Wings. These are from-scratch, flavor-baptized, slap your mother wings. Do it. read more

I do have to say I would come here more for the ambiance than the quality of food, although still above average for a sports bar. However, on principle, I am not a fan of having to pay extra for condiments. *Margherita Pizza we ordered, ironically, was the worst thing. Dry, thin, ingredients were not fresh at all. We added sirloin and it was nothing but very thin cut, very minimal subpar meat. Supposedly fresh mozarella looked microwaved and added after the fact. The dough was far too thin but made for tasty enough crustwhen taken apart. *Pizza Rolls were Italian eggroll tastiness! I honestly would have like more cheese and the bread was burnt on some pieces, but overall an innovative appetizer definitely worth trying. *Chicken Calzone came with mushrooms and spinach. Very good. Loved how cheesy and stringy it was. The bread crust really shined here, doughy greatness; not overcooked or burnt like in many of the other dishes. *Knots were similarly warm and hot inside, good as long as you eat them before they get cold. *Wings (Lemon Pepper & Tangy Buffalo) were pretty good, others at the table liked them more than I did; I like mine more moist; extra sauce that can be nicely used for dipping extra pizza crust in! *Sweet Tea was surprisingly good. Then again, I like my Sweet Tea more Sweet than Tea! Conclusion? A pizza place that does ambiance and other food better than they do pizza. read more

Ordered a pickup order when I arrived they said they were waiting on the pizza when my order was done I asked for paper plates, the said they don't provide those. Never heard that before but whatever, but when I arrived at my hotel 8 mins away my pizza was cold and I'm almost sure it was reheated. The crust was so hard my 3 & 4 year old couldn't eat it. From my experience the wings are the way to go, because they were good but I would skip the pizza. read more
