We stopped in last night about 30 minutes before they closed at 930 pm. The staff was very nice and took our order and had our starters out quickly while we waited on our pizza order. We had Caesar salad, wings and the 46th street special without the jalapeños and without anchovies. The wings could've been tossed in the sauce more thoroughly and no other options but buffalo sauce. The pizza crust could've been slightly crispier. Price and value were pretty good. read more

Love their pizza and I had their chicken special tonight. It was fantastic! It came with bread and we split a salad. Great meal.

Got my drinks, sat down and within less than 5 minutes I had my salad. Our fried mozzarella were good no extra breading. You would definitely need a fork to eat it though. Our pizza came out quick. Two people came into restaurant and about 10 came in To pick up orders called in. 1 guy said he had called in just 5 minutes ago and only had to wait another 5 minutes and got his order and I never got mine. When I asked for my $$ back they didn't want to give it to me and just shrugged it off but they could tell I was upset so finally one older guy making pizzas said " just give it to her" all indignant!! I am a frequent customer of 46th Street Pizza. I've eaten their pizzas from their Alamo Ranch, Helotes Point, and North San Antonio locations. They could be the best pizza parlor in San Antonio. The only problem I have is their inconsistency. Some times, their product is so good I could close my eyes and imagine being in Brooklyn. Other times, the underside of the pizza is burnt or the flavor of the pizza is just plain bland. If they can solve the inconsistency issue, they'd be that five star establishment that San Antonio needs. I'll keep visiting them and will provide updates. read more

Garlic cheese bread was a foccaccia style, so it was a bit dry. Sauce is simple, not very hearty but works. Cheese pizza is pretty good. Cheese is stringy enough and the pizza dough has a nice chew. Would recommend trying it. read more

My fiancée and I picked up dinner from here tonight. We started with Garlic Bread which was fine. I had the pepperoni calzone which is one of my go to dishes from here and it was as good as usual and always of excellent size. My fiancée had the marghetita pizza and she was very happy with the quality of the pizza. The cheesecake we were given for desert was more than disappointing. There were multiple spots of mold on the cheesecake making the end of the meal a real let down to what had been an enjoyable meal up until then. read more

In a city replete with awful pizza joints and people who cite places like Domino's for their favorite pie, a light shines. That light is 46th Street Pizza. It isn't my favorite pizza place in the city, but it is my second-favorite and since it's much closer to my house than my #1, we go here A LOT. I'll come right out and say that I've only ever ordered pizza at 46th ( PIZZA is literally in the name, ergo I order the pizza). Our family favorite is the Margarita and we get it every time. I can always count on a thin, perfectly cooked crust that's crisp on the bottom and has a good soft chew. The sliced tomatoes are ripe and the whole pie is balanced and savory. When I've got a real need for gobs of cheese, I do order extra cheese. Lastly, I'm noticing that a lot of the negative reviews on here have to do with 1) isolated incidents that happen at every restaurant no matter how hard anyone tries, or 2) food items that are not pizza. So...order the pizza and maybe dial back the revenge-Yelping when someone offends your delicate sensibilities. If it happens all the time, that's another story that others might actually benefit by knowing. read more

They've been really good for pizza in the past. I ordered a pasta dish this time which was supposed to consist of gnocchi, red sauce, and CHEESE! That all all important ingredient! Sadly was missing from my dish when I got it home. I called to let the restaurant know and they were nice enough about it, but didn't offer to do anything at all to rectify the situation. Just "sorry that happened." So I'm just stuck with this kind of depressing meal for 10 dollars. I hate when restaurants can't be bothered to make sure your dish is up to par before sending you home where they know you're not gonna drive back. Two things: The location at IH10 is permanently closed. Use the online order features with caution, you will be using Postmates and any disputes will NOT be handled timely. While I was running errands I placed my order in the parking lot for the IH 10 location. Since that location was closed, the Helotes location pulled up on my phone. I placed my order using the "take out" order button. I received a text message as soon as I submitted and the location was Helotes. I immediately called the restaurant and explained that I needed to cancel my order because I placed the order for the wrong location. The young lady who answered did find my order, cancelled it but stated I would have to contact Postmates for a refund. I attempted to cancel from the link in the text message - I would click "cancel" and nothing happened but a spinning wheel. I even downloaded the app but my order is nowhere in the order history of the account. I also contacted customer support by phone and the queue had a 59 minute wait. When I contacted them by email I was told because it was a pick up order I can't get a refund. I had to contact my bank to dispute the charge. COVID has changed how we do business. There are A LOT of vendors offering platforms for collecting orders online. Choose one that is user friendly with some control at the restaurant level. This has been very inconvenient and unnecessary. read more

Fantastic to-go experience! I've ordered here a few times in the last year and each time they do great. The food is great whether I pick up or have it delivered through a 3rd party app. Today, I had what might be the best fried mozzarella I've ever had! Absolutely delicious. I read the review, and had to stop by. When I entered, It was empty. Within minutes, the fire department with EMS came in then I knew this place was real. I ordered what my wife loves and that's the Hawaiian. After taking the pizza home, both of us said the same thing "this is our new pizza place". I was driving home a few weeks back and saw this "new"(to me) pizza place had opened up and on a nice friday night in ordered it via doordash. Excited I looked at the menu and saw the prices were a little high... Ended up spending $25 on a large pizza for me and my friends.. nothing crazy - pepperoni, sausage, and onion. When the pizza arrived it was the most plain flavored pizza I had ever had. Definitely not worth $25. This is a new restaurant for Helotes, which is great because we need more options! This place does not disappoint. The place is small but cozy and clean. Customer service was great. The two guys were friendly and punctual. My husband and I got the spaghetti which was very delicious! Served with bread and butter, this meal is filling. We have visited this location multiple times throughout the past few years and we thought their pizza was pretty good (that's the only reason for leaving 3 stars). However, there are other pizza options around the area that offer more competitive prices and we suggest avoiding the pasta dishes at this place. On our visit today, we ordered 3 pasta entrees and 1 ceasar salad, and our bill was $72. We thought that was kind of pricey...especially for a place that is an order-at-the-counter type set up... with no traditional waitstaff/service. Plus the pasta dishes we had weren't really that good, so we were disappointed. There wasn't necessarily anything wrong with the food, it just wasn't really that tasty. I will say that the counter/cashier employees at 46th street were very polite, so no offense to them. However, for the same price we paid today for subpar food, we probably could have gone to Olive Garden, or somewhere else, and been waited on, and ate better tasting pasta dishes, and tipped 20%, all for the same price we paid today. We ordered a large pepperoni and sausage pizza, a small garlic bread, and some mozzarella sticks.
