There is some confusion here on what is potentially good food. Good food is not shrimp and grits swimming in a gelatinous pool of lukewarm butter. Shrimp that are shrimp, but taste like the Gulf of Mexico at low tide as if the tuna boat had recently been cleaned. Gumbo that has been over salted to the point it taste like a salt lick. French fries that are rationed as if they are precious and while I agree, french fries are precious giving someone 19 french fries hidden under two greasy pieces of cold Catfish isn't precious. Red beans and rice exactly 1/8 cup rice to 1/8 cup beans. The American menu gives french fries rice and beans away as much as we give away napkins. There is no reason to ration these cheap staples. Now having to wait 22 minutes to get a corrected bill after saying two of the meals were not fit for human consumption. Only to hear the general manager and the cook say behind my back that's the first time today we've had complaints on those items? Makes you kind of wonder how many complaints they had gotten that day. Tables around us had similar complaints, and the general manager was very upset and mouthy after he was requested to bus a table. Needless to we will not be going back. Nice atmosphere but horrible service and food. House salad was overdressed dripping in salad dressing LIMP. Waitress was kidnapped and we never say her again, hope they release her! We went for burgers after this! Smash Burgers it was extremely delicious Expensive $$$ We paid for only one entrée and appetizer for total of $58. The meals unfit for human consumption were removed from the bill. I was held hostage for a total of 28 minutes while they figured out how to remove the items. read more

Upon arriving we were greeted with a welcoming smile and accent meant to give you that southern hospitality feeling by our wonderful waitress Anna. This is what's missing nowadays in the retail and service industry and especially the food service industry. Anna very pleasantly introduced us to the menu and the nightly chef's specials. I was decided on what I was going to have for dinner from the chefs specials. I ordered the pecan crusted flounder on top of creamy mashed potatoes and fresh sautéed spinach for my entree and the (jumbo lump crab)crab cake for my appetizer. Everything came out quickly and looked delicious however, the fish wasn't my thing and I asked our waitress if I could change my entree. Without any hesitation Anna took the fish back to the manager. Honestly at this time I was hungry and I decided to just go with the Salmon which my wife also ordered. It looked really good plus it saved me from having to read the menu as we were sitting outside enjoying a cool and beautiful night air and wonderful scenery. I didn't want to ruin our dinner experience as we were just getting started and I wanted to make the best of our dinner date. Anna preceded to bring out a selection of four of their delicious soups and a taste of their oyster taco with fresh pico ( free of charge ) and where I'm from it's called lagniappe and I'll take that! Bringing back service and lagniappe this restaurant will definitely see big things if they keeps this up. This food is delicious, the servers are A1 and know the menu + kitchen well (I had several keto-ish modifications) including a keto Margarita (fresh lime juices only). It looks over the green space it's perfect. I'm happy the original restaurant we were going to was lacking, bc it led us to Google other spots in the area and find this gem. We only had drinks so I can't vouch for the food. We had intended to have dinner but the restaurant was very busy and loud. It has open air outside seating which is great for families as the restaurant opens up to a field where kids can run around. The prices seamed a little high to me especially in that casual atmosphere and it looked as though the food was being delivered on plastic plates. Definitely family friendly and the manager actually stopped to ask if everything was okay. I was just looking for something more upscale. Same location was called Fish City Grill. The menu did not change. The portions are much smaller. It was 64 degrees and the garage door was open. We saw the hostess put on a jacket, I said "I see my wife and I aren't the only ones who are cold, can you close the door?" She said it was not allowed. I ate it and was not impressed. The stuffing was a white gelatinous something. I didn't get any crab and a few small shrimp. I almost took it back but dodnt want to wait longer. The staff is great but not sure if it was an off night but that fish was not good. Lacking flavor, no crab and very few shrimp with an off flavor. It felt like it was reheated.
