I got my usual 2 meat plater with briskets, pork ribs, beans and mac and cheese. I would say everything was solid, but nothing really stood out except the ribs, they were really good! The mac and cheese had bacon in which was a nice touch but didn't elevate it overall. The place looks like something straight out of the late 70's or early 80's and I don't think they have added any new decor since. The people were extremely friendly and the service was fast. So, if you are looking for a quick solid meal at a good value, this is the spot. Oh, and they had that triple ply toilet paper in the bathroom. Would poop here again.

The chicken and pork chops included 3 pieces of chicken, one pork chop and 3 sides $26.99. 2 meat plate with dried brisket and oven chicken with 3 sides was $30. Sides were broccoli cheese rice, Mac and cheese and yams. Notice the bag of cornbread too. Total $67. Same crew. Nice folks. It wasn't busy. Maybe due to timing or cost. The ambiance was friendly. No line. Clean. Definitely shareable plates. Maybe have smaller portions with a drink or smaller portion for desert. Might be a crowd pleaser

The chicken was crispy, the waffles were fluffy, and that salted butter with syrup created the perfect salty-sweet combination. The shrimp & grits were so well seasoned, and the mushrooms were such a nice touch--I've honestly never seen mushrooms served with shrimp & grits before, but I'm here for it! Everything was flavorful, and I enjoyed washing it all down with some sweet tea. Lolo's definitely knows how to do Southern comfort food! Have you tried it yet?

Here is my visit for today: had a call I needed to take and Don was kind enough to sit me in the far back so I wouldn't disturb the others. TY! And, HOT AND FRESH. Dig it! Super cute inside with lots of chicken and rooster art. Also a shoutout to Chris, the General Manager...super friendly and has his eye on the prize - walking the floor and greeting guests. Toe thumbs up! Be sure to support this LOCAL GEM!

I swear he had our big table and an entire full section. Chicken Fried Bacon I give it a 3. I loved the taste but I like my bacon cooked all the way. Chicken Fried Chicken was moist and really good. I will give that a 4. The Black Eyed Peas Peas wore horrible. Black Eyed Peas needs to be slow cooked and butter needs to be added to the pot to make them creamy. Yeah I rate them a zero. The Brussel sprouts were the star. I don't know what they did to them but they had everyone wanting more. Yes they get a 5. Total rating 3.4 Try it for yourself you may like it.

Everything else we've tried has been pretty high up there too. Service is super quick, and the guy at the front is always attentive and friendly. Although there was an employee behind the counter, her responsibilities do not include order…read moretaking. There was a kiosk for that. Even though the employee had yet to interact with me, I am prompted for a gratuity. The photos showcasing the menu items were not helpful. For instance, the photo for the Kalua Combo showed a chicken dish and Kalua Pork. When I was prompted for a chicken item, there were no photos. I could not select the chicken shown in the entree. Unlike the online menu which included Teriyaki Chicken, I only recall BBQ Chicken and Chicken Katsu as options. Fortunately, I opted for the Chicken Katsu. For my beverage, I chose a Hawaiian Sun canned drink. My order was served within 9 minutes. The service already did not match the gratuity. When I asked about my drink, I was pointed to the display case by the kiosk. Sadly, beverage delivery was neither one of her responsibilities nor included service. On their menu, "veggies" was included in various entrees. Veggie would have been a better description as the only vegetable was cabbage leaves. The cabbage was placed underneath the chicken and pork. The water from the cabbage caused the bottom portions of the meat to be soggy. Due to being breaded, the chicken was not as affected as the pork. Of the items served, I enjoyed the macaroni salad the most. It had plenty of flavor. The Kalua Pork which were not soaked in cabbage juice had an okay taste. Not only did the breading on Chicken Katsu provide flavor, it protected the chicken meat from being soggy. While a fork was served with my food, I had to grab a knife from the dispenser. The Chicken Katsu could have been eaten with a fork alone; the cabbage would have been difficult.

My favorites are the Rooster Tails (fried onions) and the chips and queso, but the real stars of the menu are the burgers. They're always fresh, hot, and juicy. The free peanuts are a nice touch, and they offer daily specials as well. I really miss the Bloody Mary bar, which was always a lot of fun, but their Sunday special makes up for it with a generous double for just $7. There's always a game on TV, which is a welcome break when you've had enough politics to last a lifetime. The servers and bartenders are consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. And whatever you do, don't forget to ask about the Yahtzee Roll at the bar. If you know, you know!

There's a full bar on both floors as well. The staff was pretty attentive, but the wait for food took a long time. I was happy the cocktails came pretty quickly and were well-made. The food was all pretty good for the most part not wowed but good! I have no complaints about my plate; it came with a great portion of food and was reasonably priced for BBQ. I ordered pulled pork and a side of corn and tomato salad and coleslaw. The sides were different from what I've had before, but I did enjoy them. Their coleslaw is more vinegar than mayo-forward. The pulled pork was well-seasoned, and the side of BBQ was the perfect match. My margarita tasted as if they made the mix in-house, and I prefer this. Store-bought mixers are usually either too sweet or too sour. However, if it is store-bought, I'm impressed! This was not a sweet margarita. My partner went for the Tennessee Texas Hot Sandwich; I did try it. There was hardly any heat despite it being their spicy chicken sandwich. I'm not sure if they make their chips in house but it seemed so.
