The store had that usual edgy vibe with walls stacked high with sneakers, boots, and some bold graphic tees and accessories. They had a good mix of brands--Vans, Converse, Dr. Martens--and the staff actually greeted me without being pushy, which I appreciated. I didn't buy anything this time, but it was fun to browse, and everything was laid out in a way that didn't feel overwhelming. Cool spot if you're into street-style shoes or just need something comfy with a little personality. Solid four stars.

I went to the rack to grab the items and was at the counter to check out within 5 minutes. I paid and left the store with 10 minutes to spare before close. No one, however, offered to help me find anything or greeted me, but rather, the two employees that were there seemed irritated that I was walking in 15 mins before close. Not glad to finally have a customer on a Sunday afternoon, but seriously UPSET that I was there DURING STORE HOURS. I didn't even ask any questions, although I did want to know if they had a particular skirt in a different color. Since the 2 employees were so eager for me to go, I did just that. A few days later I tried on the skirt and realized it was too long for a miniskirt. I returned it with the receipt and the store clerk, a different one this time, did greet me and asked if I wanted to look around for a little bit. I declined but asked about the refund policy- she said it would be 3-5 business days before it went back on my card, so I opted for a store credit gift card instead. It took awhile to process the return but I was the only one in the store. Friendlier clerk 2nd time around, but geez! Don't go to Cato when you're in a hurry!

She greeted my husband and baby, and explained how only a select number of samples in each style were on the rack, but more sizes in the back and she was happy to start a fitting room. She was engaged through my shopping experience without being pushy. I was looking for a particular style of dress, and couldn't find a color I liked. She went to the back and found a dress that fit the description and color, and brought it back in two sizes to try on! I fell in love with a particular kimono while browsing, but after seeing the price tag decided to move on. My husband saw my face light up when I saw it, and how I moved on after looking at the tag. While I was in the dressing room I heard him and the sales associate whispering (trying to figure out which one it was) and sure enough when I came out she was holding it for me to try on. Once she showed me that it was reversible I was sold! Another younger associate helped place my items in a garment bag while I checked out with my kimono and two dresses. She even made sure I got one of their cute little reusable shopping bags even though my purchase went in a garment bag. I was happy to give them $3200 for a great shopping experience and beautiful clothes!
