My dad and I came here to browse their bible section. Barnes and Nobles is pricey, so I was expecting a high cost for bibles. While browsing their bible section I noticed they had a sale going on. In addition there were sales throughout the store. I ended up getting a She Reads Truth Bible in Rose Gold (CSB translation) for a significantly cheaper price than normal ($10 or so off). For the past couple of months I have enjoyed reading the Bible, the passages are easier to understand, there's space to practice bible journaling or jot down any thoughts. There are plenty of devotionals, beautiful hand lettering of scripture and maps/timelines of the passages. SheReadsTruth is a Bible I recommend for women.

It has been WAY too long since I've been to B&N. What a wonderful experience it was getting to browse through the shelves and actually pick up the book and smell the "newness." You just can't do that when you shop online. This location is well-stocked, orderly and very inviting to the customers. I loved browsing the different displays that were set up throughout the store to pique the consumer's interest. I bought a book then headed over to the in-house Starbucks for a hot cup of coffee, sit back and relax. Even though the in-house cafe is a Starbucks, they're not part of the Starbucks chain so you can't use your Starbucks card and earn "stars." It wasn't a big deal, the visit to the store was worth the little bit of inconvenience. Note to me, don't wait so long so come back!

I know that in the age of Amazon, pre-orders and E-books, brick and mortar retail booksellers may be a thing id the past. However, I love waiting for my favorite authors to release a book, and to feel the pages in my hands right there in the store. Sometimes, I hear a podcast or TED Talk and just want to read the book right away. In those moments, I am so grateful for B&N. You can call ahead and they will hold a book for you, which is great! Don't sleep on the gift area either. They have so many great and unique items, sure to please. So, some great recent finds to end my review: The Serious Goose by Jimmy Kimmel The Infinite Game by Simon Sinek Hamilton (in the style of a graphic novel) Various book quote magnets There Will Be No Miracles Here by Casey Gerald A great place to study, grab some Starbucks or spend some time!

Con: I don't know if its just me but B&N always feels overpriced. So I rarely buy anything here. Pro: Like Elizabeth N. stated, great place to stroll through/hang out. The employees are attentive when you need help, but leave you alone for the most part. (Perfect for me) Free WiFi. Great late night location. One of the few retail locations open till 10-11 PM.

I went today and experienced excellent customer service from both the book saleswoman I spoke to and the Starbucks barista. Wish I had jotted down their names, but both were very pleasant and helpful. The store was very large, clean, and organized. I love their huge selection of books, music, toys, games, and video. One of the better Barnes & Noble's I have been to.

But if I'm not driving, I really prefer to sit and flip through a physical book. I'm forever a fan of Half Price Books so I can explore a bunch of books in person and also feel good about buying used books. And I'm especially a fan of this location since I grew up going to it. I've been here countless times -- my whole family used to visit after dinner at CiCi's Pizza (which was next door, once upon a time). I don't know why but it's extra fun to end your day at a bookstore, when it's dark outside. Maybe because you know you're gonna go straight home, get ready for bed, and start reading whatever new (to you) goodie you found. And never fear, you'll always find something.

The store was well staffed with booksellers eager to answer questions on my visit. Bonus! This location is located in a mini mall next to multiple thrift stores and a Dollar Tree so if you want to continue shopping around the rest of the mini mall that that's an option as well. Did you know that you can buy books by the yard?

The price quoted was a lot with a 10 week wait! But after they explained what repair entailed and what to look for when purchasing a BIble that lasts, I understood. I decided to just buy the kid a new Bible (one not glued, but sown together, her recommendation) but if I ever need a book repair service, they will surely get my business. If you want a quick-and-dirty commercial fix, this is not your place. But if you are looking for a European time machine that will take a beloved book back to what it was or even better, this is the spot for you. We came to the Book Doctor with a small devotional, quite honestly a lost cause with no cover or binding and several severely damaged pages. We were hoping for some sort of cover and binding to preserve it since it is of great sentimental value and over 90 years old. What we received back was a gorgeous gem, a true made-to-order family heirloom. Not only was the cover beautiful, the binding is a work of art and pages we thought were lost forever were delicately and expertly restored. We stand amazed. Again, if you expect to do it on the cheap and have it by next week, forget it. But if the book in question matters to you and you budget for time and money, plan in advance, make an appointment with one of their experts, then expect the best. These are artisans who will pour all their skill and experience into your valued piece and devote entire days solely to its restoration.

If something is out chances are you can find it. They don't have a large collection of back issues. They do have super cheap Star Wars Black Series figures. I feel like they could really look at online prices and inflate the prices of their figures and make more money.. but they don't. I've gotten a few figures here for retail that sold online for 40-50 bucks. It says a lot about the integrity of the owners that they aren't marking those up. Great shop! Check it out!

After he looked at all the cards he was reluctant to give me a number. So I had to play the guessing game and just figure out what he was valuing it at. I had already done research on my cards so I knew what they were worth in my head. Well over $100. I asked him if he would trade for a $20 card and a $10 card. Making the value $30. I knew I was taking a loss but I didn't really Care, I figured I might as well trade cards I don't want for some cards I do want even if I'm taking a Loss in value. He said no way, It's impossible to get to that value, I'm valuing your cards at like $15. So I just laughed, Got on my phone and started getting screen shots of the values of all my cards So I can show him what I'm seeing. I finally get around to explaining to him the values of my cards with picture proof, And he says yeah but you're pulling that up on an app, Apps generate fake Sales too so it's not reliable. And then he said he goes off of eBay Instead. Funny thing is when you click on the links on the app it takes you to the eBay listing and it shows the price it was sold at. So I told him this is eBay, And by the way eBay is also an app. Then he just started arguing, And acting obnoxious. Saying he doesn't use apps, Blah blah blah. He also went on to say eBay is full of fake sales, but had just said he doesn't use apps, just eBay sales. I told him that everybody Uses these apps to determine the value of cards. He asked me who is everybody. I said other collectors, Other card shops. And he said are they running my business? And then he said when you order something on eBay can you get it in 30 seconds. And I said no. And he said exactly that's the benefit of retail is that you can get it in 30 seconds and not have to pay for Shipping and fees. I said OK well you're just making my point stronger than because that means people paid more than what you're saying my cards are worth not only on price, But they also paid fees and shipping. Got to the point where I just had to leave, When I got out to my car I realized I had forgotten my drink inside and went back in. When I went back in he said some smart comment to me, In front of another customer. Just more of his usual nonsense. This guy is an absolute clown, And to his question about if these other places and people are running your business, No they are not. And that's why they are bigger than you, And that's why they have more product than you when you have none. The only product you have Is what you buy at another retail store, because nobody is sending you anything. You're too small of a business. And it's probably because of how small your way of thinking is.

I was open to the Manga I wanted by genre; it was a matter of finding the right one. One, I knew, would keep my attention. The Store We Like but Keep Trying to Replace…read more We've been here several times with both friends and family. It's a large but otherwise typical nerd store: cards, comics, minis, dice, events. It's all here in one crowded, slightly chaotic package. They've got a ton of bulk Pokémon and Magic cards in large, loosely organized drawers you can dig through for hours. You probably won't find anything rare, but it's a good time if you're the type to go treasure hunting for something. There's a decent selection of tabletop minis, paints, tiles, TTRPG books, and board games, nothing mind-blowing, but more than enough to get a new campaign rolling or add to your collection. The manga and comic section is sizable too, though I can't speak to the quality since that's not my scene. Events happen regularly, which is great in theory but a bit awkward in practice if you're not partaking. If you need access to the back wall where the tables are, you'll likely be squeezing past players mid-match. If it's accessible at all. The entrance can also get pretty bottlenecked depending on how many people are milling around. The store's clean enough for a hobby shop, but if you're a germaphobe, maybe bring hand sanitizer. The staff are helpful when asked and otherwise leave you to browse. Every now and then one might get chatty, but not in a bad way. The whole place is welcoming with that typical nerdy vibe you expect from a place like this. It's a very inclusive store, if that's your thing. The prices are as you would expect. If not on the higher side. We like Generation X. They've got the biggest selection of the stuff we're usually hunting for. Still, I don't know why, but we're always looking for an alternative. Maybe it's the clutter, maybe it's the crowding, or the drive. Either way, it's a reliable go-to even if it's not quite "the one."
