However, liquid nitrogen canisters were nowhere to be found as all of their stuff came out of boxes. I thought the entire draw of using molecular gastronomy was to flair involved in making the food, not necessarily the end product. And because of that and the weather, their ice cream was put at a big disadvantage. Yet they still managed to win the rookie-of-the-year award at the competition. At least one of the workers there let me get 2 items worth 10 tickets for 9 b/c that's all I had left. I had the "Have your cake and eat it too" (aka cake batter ice cream) and a "Nitro Pop". Neither really all that special.

I was intrigued when visiting the Galleria to quickly pay some bills. Located on the second floor right outside of Macy's, it's worth to stop even just to watch and to be amazed. Three employees where quickly moving around the little shop amist a gathering of people just as curious as I was. The large tanks of nitrogen were spouting the gas and the ice cream creators were quickly stirring the concoction as the ohhs and ahhs were being heard. You could either get a flavor of nitro cream and add your own toppings or there is also a list of sundae-like menu options. Flavors like vanilla, chocolate, mint, strawberry, cake batter, pitschao, and coffee were options. The saying of Go big or go home flashed in my mind. So I ended up going with Nitro Mike's Fav which was cake batter ice cream with cookie dough, peanut butter mixed it. The ice cream was very creamy and yet seemed a little less heavy than a typical Perry's offering. The price ended up being just over $6 with tax. They apparently also catering at special events like weddings and birthdays which is a pretty cool idea. The employee who made my order also mentioned that more franchises are coming. But right now they are only at the Walden Galleria mall. As much of a haven of canadiens that the Galleria has become, I feel I'll bear it to have some more of their ice cream!

Chatted with Marjorie, the owner and how business was and more on her products. The sampling of cookies was a nice touch, for customers to try . Ended up purchasing her flamingo cookie that was infused with Krupnik; Polish liquor . The cookie itself European style, right portions of everything delicious. The other cookie had the artistic craft of baking infused with orange, not sure what else was magnificent. Be sure to take a business card, as it's a reward card for cookie purchases. Catering by Marjorie, recently won an award for their soups from Buffalo Spree. Be sure to check out this local business , Mckinley Mall, it at events. The owner was super nice and chatted about her available cookie and soup options as well as offered samples. Since we had just eaten lunch, we each only had a cookie sample. It was a shortbread hazelnut cookie and it was divine! It was buttery, nutty and not too sweet; it would be a great compliment to a cup of tea or coffee. Everything was displayed neatly and well organized within her space. I will definitely be back next time I find myself in Hamburg.

We went to the Mansard Inn for Easter Brunch. We had been there years ago for dinner and thought it…read morewas decent, and we had heard it had been refurbished since then. Unfortunately, that really wasn't our experience. The biggest issue was cleanliness. The entire place felt tired and dirty. The carpets looked heavily worn and stained, the booths had food stuck in the crevices, and overall it just didn't feel clean or well maintained. The dishes and drinkware didn't help. The coffee mugs, which were once white, were badly stained and dingy looking. My mother actually rubbed something off hers, and the waitress explained that it "wasn't dirty, just stained." Not exactly the best first impression, especially at $55 per person for brunch. We ordered mimosas after that, hoping things would improve, but even the champagne glasses looked questionable and were filled to noticeably different levels. Then the food arrived, and unfortunately it only got worse. Everything was served "family style," but there was no menu or explanation of what was coming. The meal felt random and poorly executed. Some highlights included: * A single store-bought pastry cut into pieces * Mac and cheese that tasted like boxed Velveeta * Deep-fried breakfast sausages * Ham that resembled warmed-up lunch meat * Three shrimp total for two people * A bowl of stew meat that felt completely out of place * An Eggs Benedict attempt that simply didn't work To make matters worse, some of the silverware and plates appeared dirty as well. By the end, we honestly couldn't wait to leave. The automatic $20 holiday service charge on top of the already expensive brunch really sealed the experience for us. Sadly, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we've had in quite a while.

From the friendly staff, clean and warm interior, great reward program, and delicious bundt cakes,…read moreNothing Bundt Cakes solidifies itself in my dessert/treat go-to list! On a Friday around 12:30pm, I pulled into a parking spot in front of the entrance. There's PLENTY of parking in this plaza so no issues finding a spot. Upon walking in, a very courteous and friendly young woman greeted me - I believe her name was Harmony (at least that's what my receipt says). I think I wrote about her in my previous review, but she was so nice, an excellent example of great customer service! Even though the experience was only a few minutes, it was great and made me smile. That week I received a buy one, get one free Bundtlet coupon, thanks to Nothing Bundt Cakes' rewards program, and there was a special limited time flavor I had to try -Biscoff Cookie Butter Cake! I ordered a Biscoff Cookie Butter Cake Bundtlet as well as a Confetti Bundtlet, both flavors I was having for the first time. The description for the Biscoff Bundtlet reads "a handcrafted spice cake with Biscoff Cookie Butter baked in, drizzled in Biscoff Cookie Butter, topped with Nothing Bundt Cake's signature cream cheese frosting and topped with a real Biscoff Cookie." In short, this was excellent. The flavors from the spice cake and Biscoff Cookie Butter paired so well, it was a perfect blend of sweet & savory. The Biscoff Cookie Butter drizzle with the cream cheese frosting was divine and the cake was so moist, exactly what I come to expect! The Biscoff Cookie on top was soft, not crispy like what I get on an American Airlines flight, but it was still very good. I really appreciated how balanced the flavors were and how it didn't taste overly spiced or overly sweet, it was the perfect level of sweetness, in my opinion. The Confetti Bundtlet was a fantastic vanilla flavor and the sprinkles baked inside added a little extra sweetness - This flavor is a bundt cake representation of the traditional vanilla birthday cake, but even more moist! The prices for a Bundtlet are pretty reasonable and with the buy one, get one free coupon, it's an amazing deal. Nothing Bundt Cakes is one of my tried-and-true dessert/treat spots, going all the way back to when I lived in Kansas City over 10 years ago as of 2026! I know when I come to one of these bake shops, I'll get friendly customer service and walk out with a high quality (bundt) cake.
