In September we had a water pipe fail in our kitchen ceiling that caused extensive damage to our kitchen cabinets, backsplash and counters. Asbestos and lead were found in the drywall and countertop tile requiring our kitchen to be gutted. Our claims adjuster recommended Haldeman Restoration Company because of the positive feedback that he had received from other people that had HRC restore their homes after being damaged. Our experience with HRC was amazing. Dorin was our project manager and from the beginning he was organized, forthright and very helpful. His tradespeople were punctual and very good at what they did. Permits were pulled where required, inspections were scheduled promptly and no reinspections were needed. Dorin kept us constantly updated and checked on the rate and quality of the work performed frequently. We had a leak in our shower, with water dripping all over the bathroom and down into the garage. Our insurance company recommended HRC. I am happy to say that Jason and Stan went above and beyond to ensure the work was done properly and in a timely manner. They dealt with my insurance company on my behalf, which made things so easy. The work was clean and top-notch. They showed up on time, communicated well, and the tiled shower came out beautiful. They fulfilled their promise to complete the repairs before my wife's scheduled surgery. Regarding the couple negative comments on their Yelp page: my experience was nothing like this. Jason and his team were incredible to work with and made the process so smooth during our year-long remodel. A tree fell on our house, virtually destroying half it, but the team stepped in quickly and handled everything from clean up, personal property loss inventory, demo, framing, and all the big (and small) details and decisions it took to bring our house back to life. Where do I start with HRC restoration? It all started with a leak in my master bedroom bathroom. HRC has the best team. JD came by and did some measurements, and that pretty much takes off from there. They were all friendly, knowledgeable, kind, very clean, and respectful. I did not know what to expect or step to take. HRC team guided me through my entire restoration from the leak. Oh, I forgot to mention Dorin and the office team Christi. Those two were awesome in their line of work. They were my go-to person for all my questions and needs. Jason Haldeman and his project manager did a superb job restoring and remodeling a disaster house in Rocklin. The place had been trashed by the previous tenants and their multitude of dogs, cats and kids with spray pant. Jason and Stan worked with me on making a plan, creating and revising estimates as more and bigger problems came up, and executing on the plan with almost daily communication. What I liked most about Haldeman and crew was the ease of working with them and their flexibility in allowing me to buy appliances, vanities, etc. on my own. This saved me $$$; I was not only able to get lower prices but did not have to pay the contractor markup. They also encouraged me to enter into a contract with the abatement company on my own saving me their mark-up. They also did what I wanted with respect to furniture left by the prior tenants by helping me store the furniture items till I found homes for them. Ditto for the old appliances which I also managed to re-home thanks to Haldeman's crew putting them under tarps in the back yard. The final result was, well, spectacular. Check out the pictures. Esp. happy with the granite counters and their subcontractor who took my on a tour of all the slabs in the granite store. And the flooring and paint people also did beautiful jobs. read more

HRC started timely, however I did have a lot of communication issues with my first Project Manager (PM). I was super frustrated, so I called Jason on a Friday at 3:30 PM, I did not expect a call back until the next business day, however much to my surprise Jason took time out of his evening to call me, answer my questions and make things right. I was assigned a new PM and the rest of the work was a breeze. His crew (flooring and paint) arrived on time, were respectful and finished within the designated time frames provided to me. Great establishment. A tree fell on our detached garage during the snow storm of Dec 27th, 2021 in Applegate. Our adjuster came out within a week and Jason came out soon after. Garage was built with permits originally but over 20 years ago so obviously (placer county norm) new permits took a while. In fact, New permits to over 6 weeks and the Garage was rebuilt in about a month. His subcontractor (Glen) was awesome. Started every day (except the weekends) at 7:00 am. Never late, never slacked off or anything. Loiuse and Glen were great. Stan was our PM and was the best. Great communication, very professional and highly dependable. When a backed-up drain, caused water damage to our 86 year- old home, Haldeman Restoration Company (HRC) was recommended to us by our insurance company, We had no idea that the result of the damage would mean the demolition and replacement of walls, ceilings, and flooring. HRC was amazing. Our excellent, organized, reliable, project manager gave us a schedule of when things would be completed and EVERYTHING WAS COMPLETED BEAUTIFULLY ON TIME! HRC sent a crew to demolish walls and ceilings. Then, sent a wonderful gentleman to dismantle and move furniture. Another crew to fabulously restore walls, ceilings, and paint. This incredible crew removed flooring and baseboards and then returned to replace and paint baseboards. The flooring crew were next, managing to give us wonderful floors in just one day. Last but not least the furniture was put back together and moved in place and the cleaning crew arrived to do outstanding work, Everyone involved in our project was always on time, professional, and respectful of our home. Our original, signed, contract price went up by about 40% after they completely demolished our bath rendering it useless. Jason said the design (after 3 of their staff had been to our house) would not work. We asked for no changes. They let us know this after demoing the bath, not before. After that, they continued to ask for additional money for things until we said we'd just pay them for the work they'd done and find someone else. In the end, the bathroom looks good but It was a frustrating experience and we paid significantly more than agreed upon for less than we had agreed upon.
