The Yelp reviews are right. I reached out to many flooring companies because I wanted to get carpets installed before my wife's bday. John was responsive and was able to come same day I reached out for quote and measurements. I had a tight budget and timeframe and John was able to meet both. He was able to get installed in a few days. I was impressed by John's knowledge of all the other flooring companies and was confident that they could not beat his price. It was true after receiving multiple quotes. Alfredo and his crew were efficient and did great work. The one thing I noticed is they used an automatic stretcher which gives a tighter install than others who use the knee kick method. The install was tight and clean. I purchased the luxury vinyl flooring for my kitchen, bathroom and living room. The quote was pretty high, but I wanted it done right and they could install it quickly. The sales person was super nice and very friendly. The flooring product is really good. And the installation itself was perfect. The installers did an excellent job working around a rock fireplace. It's very hard to do right. He made it perfect! The only reason I said 3 stars instead of 5 is the scheduling. They were no show on a few days and on others they would show and then leave at noon. It took a lot longer than expected. Additionally, the salesperson under quoted the cost to prepare the floors. After the job was started I was told it would be a significant amount more to remove tile. There was nothing new found, they simply under quoted, then your stuck and have to pay. I did have some water damage in the bath. The sales man original implied it would be just a little more, less than 100. To fix the damage. Then charged me 1100. . These guys were over booked and running multiple job. I get it. They did work on Sunday to catch up. And when the salesman heard I had a dog die, he came by with a gift card. Very sweet. But in the end, the lack of planning, unexpected costs and length of time to complete affected my overall satisfaction. read more

Very good experience with those people who are gotten our floors done beautifully. The sales person name is John. He is very professional with his job. The installer leader name is Hipolito. He is a very nice person you may never met. He leads Sammy, Sergio and Manny. They are working as working on their own home, very responsible. What ever you asked, they were explaining to you and help you. Once I was talking to them, Sammy looked up on the ceiling, saw our air filter screen was opening, he opened it, made corrected than put back. Such small thing, but was touching my heart. John called me right away and was able to provide a quote virtually using pictures and dimensions provided. He was able to get me the best deal around town with Monday installation. I'm selling my house in Carmichael and basically spammed Yelp for all the flooring companies to give an estimate for carpet and laminate installation. I probably messaged 20 different flooring companies throughout Sacramento area and found United Flooring is the best of them all. They replaced my linoleum floors in the kitchen, three bathrooms and laundry room. They also replaced all the carpet in the house. This is about a 1700 sq/ft carpeted area. The speed and efficiency of John and his crew are second to none. They were done with the project even before the other companies were still working on their bids. Their proposal was also among the lowest and most competitive. They also use Digisign for secure online transaction. I like the use of this high-tech proposal. It is very convenient and specifies the project in detail. They clean up after work and did not hesitate to come back to do touch ups. I spoke to John to have floors installed in my house. He had his team install the floors. I'm not super happy about how things were done but it's decent work. Certainly better than I could do. I will say the work was done in one long 3-day weekend and was completed quickly (shortly after agreeing to purchase). This was a couple years back but I think I had around 2,000 sq feet of flooring installed. So a very large project. Also, his price was competitive. The door trims appear to be cut too high, the carpet that meets the flooring was not done properly as they are not carpet tradesmen, the baseboards look terrible but they aren't finish carpenters. I see some mistakes here and there. I would not recommend this company, but I'm sure it depends on the team that John uses bc John was not present. He just made the sales pitch and then sent a group of guys to do the work. Also, the edges of the flooring where it meets the wall is not caulked as recommended in the install instructions to make the floors waterproof. Nor did the guys sweep under the flooring to remove all dust and dirt prior to install, which was recommended in the instructions. read more

My experience with this company would have been FLAWLESS if it wasn't for Clarissa . She is beyond unprofessional. Apparently she handles paperwork for United flooring . And she made it a point to let me know she is a black owned business after going back and forth with me through text messages ( unprofessional ). I originally went with this company because John Did an amazing job selling me on the floor that i wanted. He was very detailed and actually brought products for me to have a visual/ feel of what i actually wanted . He quoted me a GREAT PRICE ! There was no way i could pass this up . We discussed several things that i wanted changed in my home including potential bathroom upgrade and carpeting . The contractor came the day of our appointment and dropped the product off showed me the floor plan which included kitchen , dining room living room and both bathrooms . Stated that this was the floor plan given by United Flooring . I stated great i had no idea what i paid for included the bathrooms but i was like great this is amazing ! The contractors did a FLAWLESS JOB ! Kept me in the loop with everything that i needed to be aware of after pulling up my old flooring , they worked from 1pm day one to 8 pm that night and the next day from 8am - 6pm and the floors were completed ! Contractors were sooo good and super nice they did amazing work ! The flooring i have is vinyl scratch proof and water proof just what i needed ! However once the job was completed i received a call from the original guy that came out John , he told me the bathrooms were NOT included in the price that he gave and that the contractors did extra work that was not included . Originally he wanted me to pay the difference but then he WAIVED it for me as i was confused because the the contractors had a SPECIFIC FLOOR plan when they originally came out ( communication issue #1 ) . I signed a contract before contractors came 1/20 , contractors originally came 1/26 and were done by 1/28 - by 1/28 Clarissa was contacting me saying that i needed to RESIGN documents . I asked her why , she stated that the ORIGINAL PAPERWORK was missing a document . I asked her to send me " the document " that was missing so that i could review and just sign that ONE document . She never responded to my email but proceeded to text and email again about me RESIGNING all documents again . I stated to her i was not signing anything again as i signed to finance 1/20 prior to contractors coming . She continued to ask me to sign still not giving an explanation , so i decide I'm NOT going to finance any longer and wanted to pay out of pocket instead with my credit card . She wanted me to put my full credit card number on yet another document and sign , i stated i am not putting my credit card information on anymore documents and asked if i can pay in person or with original guy that came out , she proceeds to tell me that she is a black owned business and would not jeopardize her company over my $5000 ( basically making is seem as though I'm less than ) i told her she is beyond unprofessional and still has yet to explain what the original issue was with the paperwork so why would i feel comfortable giving you my full credit card information ? Smh . I told her i will pay out of pocket but i want her to cancel my contract with the finance company first and send proof , she then tells me i need to call them MYSELF to cancel . I stated i didn't call them to start it so why would i need to call to cancel , smh. Just horrible ! Long story short if you go through this company DO NOT FINANCE ( she has no idea what she is doing with her paperwork and doesn't feel the need to explain things to her customers that have concerns ) she didn't know what her contractors were here working on and she ended up calling me while they were here stating they would be coming within a week when one of the parts that were missing came in . Smh just all over the place . John the guy that came out originally ended up calling me and apologizing on " the company's " Behalf however i feel like it wasnt his job to do so , it should have been hers . I wrote this message to WARN ppl that are just like me , it's as simple as being transparent with your customers instead of just throwing papers at them to sign when clearly you're the PROBLEM .
