I meant to send in a review last month. We hired Clark's Gables Roofing to come out and assess water damage on the roof above the front door. Water was starting to get into the house so we needed to fix the issue quickly. Clark and team came out and repaired all of the damaged portions of the roof and even helped to connect a 2nd floor downspout to a lower gutter. The team completed the work in less than a day and solved all of our issues, at a competitive price as well. You can tell that Clark has been in the business for many years as he knew exactly what to fix in this instance. I had roof in a valley and ask 3 highly starred provides from Yelp and Google to come take a look. The first inspector was not to completely sure, but removed the tiles to see what was underneath and noticed some issues. Another inspector came out, removed tiles on roof, and did see the damage, and also recommended fixing all the valleys. Then Clark the owner came out. He didn't even need to get on the roof. He noticed some warping under the eave, and said, "You have a leak!". Clark also recommended to also repair all 4 valleys on the roof. He said, I know it's time because most of your neighbors with similar aged roofs have already done it, and he pointed around the neighborhood. (This is also my 3rd leak in valleys, so makes sense). He also noticed additional poor quality around roof exit pipe for ventilation, etc. He noticed these problems because when his dad was training him his dad always knew it was poor quality. AND Clark mentioned builders have since moved away from the cheap products because of failures and lawsuits. (Note: Clark appears to be in his 60s, so one would assume a lifetime of Dad's experience shared with Clark growing up + his lifetime of experience, and it appears his son is also in the business..., so 3 generations of knowledge.) So I get the quotes. The 1st team only recommended clean/repair on the main valley with leak, that they weren't sure was leaking. The 2nd team came in with a quote to fix the valley leak, and I thought they were also going to install 3 'new' valleys. I read the quote, and it was just remove tiles and clean. No replacement of any parts in the other valleys, just remove and clean... Well what's the point? I get Clark Gables last and had a little 'sticker' shock, as it was twice the 2nd quote. I thought maybe I can call the 2nd quote and see if they will do similar work, but Clark offered the best and reliable parts, bid to FIX the problem, not clean the problem... AND would these other guys even know how to install the newer/better parts by Clark... The answer is NO! Why risk it... So, I went with Clark Gable, who KNEW the problem with just a single glance, recommended all 4 valleys be replaced, noticed other poor quality issues to also replace, offered better parts, and carries 40yrs+ of experience, + his dad's experience and lessons!... Don't go anywhere else, just go with Clarks Gables! GET THE JOB DONE RIGHT! read more

AVOID AT ALL COST. Contractor promises to complete a ton of work to justify his cost of thousands of dollars. Then sends a crew of a few guys to do some minimal work and hope that the homeowner does not climb the roof to check their work. Roof continued to leak after their "repairs". Owner then sent the crew out 2 more times - with no ladder and absolutely no pride in the quality of their work. Review the pictures and be the judge. My 6-year old can do better work. Tried to speak to the owner who has a short fuse and would not even hear-out the concerns. I will be filing a complaint with the contractors state license board and taking him to court but wanted to warn others. read more

Although Clark had not worked on that part of the roof, he responded with a visit and investigation. He honored my whole roof warranty by repairing the area around my chimney. We hired Clark's in 2017 to replace our roof and they did a fabulous job! On a recent weekend during a storm we heard a dripping sound coming from the roof, so we called Clark's and left a message asking them to check it out. Clark came out Monday with his crew and found that the roof was intact, but a plastic vent cover on the outside of the chimney was cracked, allowing water to flow down the inside of the chimney. They helped us diagnose the problem (with pictures) and even put some caulk on for us at no charge. I definitely recommend Clark's if you have any roofing needs. read more

When they were all done, there were still missing tiles on the roof and areas of visible rot Their response, the contract was only for one part of the roof Overall a very incomplete job and I need to get another roofer My perspective was for Clark to do a complete job and in no way did they communicate that they were going to do an incomplete job, and vice versa The end response by Clark, if you don't like the job, I did I'll see you in small claims court Plus, when they were all done, they left a pile of eight tiles together on top of the roof, hard to imagine, but that is how sloppy they were Conclusion, cannot be trusted to do appropriate work. Edit: i am 100% sure it is the right company. The name is hard to confuse. My appt was Tuesday Jan 17th. I called Clark's Gables for a quote on my new roof. The person who took my call couldn't answer my questions, which was fine... she scheduled an appointment for someone to come out to see my house. To my surprise, this person ALSO couldn't answer my questions and told me that he was only there to measure my roof, and I could go online to decide what I wanted. I gave him a water and told him I wasn't interested. For several thousand dollars, I expect a conversation with someone knowledgeable. To know, i got 3 other quotes and each of those sent someone knowledgeable to my house and they taught me enough so that I could make an informed decision. I don't recommend Clark's Gables because there is a lot that you need to understand about a roof purchase, and it seems they aren't prepared to assist with that. read more

CGR helped me to install a new roof in June 2017, which had some of the best handiwork that I've seen from a professional contractor. Five years later, one section of the gutter had separated from the roof and because the timeframe still fell under the warranty of CGR, they sent a handyman to come back to reattach the gutter to the roof. We wanted to clean and seal all of our gutters, as well as add a downspout and gutter screens. The gentleman Clark's Gables Roofing who came out to do an estimate was on time, courteous and professional. He listened and took notes. We had an estimate for the job within a day and we're able to schedule out a month or so due to our travel plans. On the scheduled work day a team of three showed up on time and got right to work. Shortly after that the owner came by to check on the job and speak to us to be sure we were all on the same page. The job had some added complications that were anticipated, but the team came back the next day to finish. The work was well done including painting over some old the repair areas. Can't say enough about the professionalism of the Clark's Gables team! We found a loose piece gutter screen on our deck a few weeks later and the owner himself came to investigate!
