Then they cleaned out several of my valleys which had accumulated leaves and dirt over the past several years. When the job was finished no tiles were broken and the roof looked great. TK Roofing was great! I have a very difficult house to reroof. My home is like a compound, completely gated / walled, with koi ponds, trees, plants, decks, etc. It's also on a narrow private street that makes getting vehicles and materials difficult to get in and out. Troy and his crew were professional and fast. They did a great job. Troy is super responsive and friendly. His sons are part of his crew and they clearly know what they are doing. They were careful to not get any debris in the koi pond, They had to hand carry all the old roof shingles and materials out because you can't get the dump truck up to the house. My house also has 6 or 7 different roof levels with a steep pitch. Everything about my job was complicated and a pain in the _____! However, TK Roofing did a great job, and took care of everything. They even helped me put on new skylights which was not part of their original job, and they hauled away a bunch of debris and trash from other parts of my remodel for me. Then this winter after heavy rain I discovered some water on the floor and I could not tell where it might be coming from. I thought it might be the roof, so I called Troy. He came out to my house immediately to take a look. It turned out that it was not the roof, but he and my contractor figured out that it was coming from a vent on the side of the house by the floor. Even though it was not Troy's problem he still came out and helped us figure out where the leak was coming from. After completing an extensive whole house remodel and dealing with many people. I have to say that it's rare to find someone this responsive! Their prices were also less than most of the other estimates I received. Highly recommend! read more

I realize everyone here is giving them high ratings and I wish I could have had the same experience. I called them because I discovered a leak in my roof and couldn't fix it myself. I left a message when no one picked up, and didn't hear back from them for 7 hours. When they did call, they said they would be by the next day. And they never came. Not that day, not the next, I didn't receive any phone calls or messages, nothing. I really needed a roof repair company, and prefer locally owned, but will have to find some one else. We were beyond in need of a new roof and wanted to add solar, too. TK Roofing fit us into their schedule quickly, did an amazing job installing our new roof, and was by far the most reasonable price around. They even worked with our financing company. They worked in the 100+ degree temperature and were done with the entire project in 2 1/2 days. They also made sure that all debris was removed from my yard at the end of each day. Was looking for a company to quickly come out for a Roof Certification before buying my house and this local company came out for a check. Was very helpful with some saving money tips and was prompt with the call backs and arrival. Couple months later a defect that was unable to be seen popped up and he came over right away to check the situation. Fixed the problem and double checked everything. Work was well done. read more

DO NOT USE. Completely unethical owners. I have a 60 year warranty for a roof this company put on September 8, 1995. We had a tile break in 2011 and they came out and fixed it. No problems at all. Last week after big storms we notice a major leak in our child's bedroom which made mold. I called them out and told them about black mold. For a solid week Kathleen told me someone would be coming out everyday so I wait and no one shows. Today they actually show up, goes on the roof, tells me there are a couple broken tiles as he's ripping them out and tossing them. Mind you my husband just went on that roof a few days earlier and not one tile was broken. Roofer then tells me it's the clog of the peak and it is going to cost 1500.00 for a total of 3 hours of work to unclog a peak and an extra 300.00 for the wood it ruined. Nothing is covered as it was his Dads company, which he gave his son in 2008, and so that warranty is no good. If warranty was good it would cover it fully. I ask him why is it that you won't cover the warranty for same company (especially since he covered it in 2011) and he kept respecting it was his dads company then. I knew there was going to be a huge issue when they kept not coming every day but was honestly hopeful they would do the right thing. As he's walking away he says under his breath no will fix that for cheaper like that's supposed to entice me to want to do business with someone with such amazing manners and ethics. Very disappointing. I have a 2 year roof certification from TK Roofing. I received the certification when I bought my house. I contacted them after I suspected leak in the roof. I called them multiple times. Every time it went to their voicemail and they never responded back. After waiting for a few days, I sent them an email message from their website. This time they called back. I believe it was Kathy on the phone, and she said that she never got my phone messages and that she will call me back soon to schedule a visit. That is the last I heard from them. Its now been almost a month and no response from them. How can you trust them if they don't even respond back. What is the point of getting roof certification from them if they are not going to even show up? read more

This local, family owned roofing company did an amazing job, in a short period of time, right around the holidays for our family. Kathy worked with me to choose colors for the roof and gutters and explained in detail the various options I had, all the while being very patient with my indecisiveness and questions. Once the choice was made Troy and his team completed the work, cleaned up and I was ready for the winter storms in about 2 days! Sorry I flamed this business on my last review, but if you are lucky enough to get a hold of someone instead of the answering machine would be like hitting the lottery. I eventually got them to come out and do the repairs, but I was constantly texting or calling the office and leaving message to find out when Troy would be able to come out just to give me an estimate. I didn't hear anything back for two weeks, so I called them again and left messages for three days and finally Kathy called back and apologized for the delay and Troy will call me. He said he would have an estimate for me in a couple of days, but it was more like a week. The reason I put up with this is Troy does good work and his prices are reasonable. I've got quotes from other roofers for other jobs and most will make a huge list of things not needed and in turn drive up the final cost. If you need repairs done immediately, this business may not be for you. If you have the patience to follow up and not in a hurry, then give these guys a call. Kathy, I know you read your reviews and my suggestion to you is communicate and follow up with your customers in a timely manner. This whole process took a month and if you were to tell me your business is unable to do the work, then I would respect that and made my own decision to either wait or move on. If you tell me that I will have a quote in two days, then get it to me by then or at least follow up. You guys do good work and offer fair pricing, but you are disorganized. I will always call you first for all my needs, but I will also give my honest opinion on Yelp. read more

Had a roof leak and called TK Roofing. They were nice enough people but kept doing what they thought were "fixes", each time it rained, I had to call and they came out again. After the third time and paying a total of $400+ More ( and time off work for 3 visits), looked like Troy fixed it. Went through one Winter season with no apparent leaks through to the ceiling. First rain this season ( and a light one at that), leak back- same spot! Called another company who assessed the situation and saw what TK had attempted to do. Called TK back out and now wants to charge me another $1200+ to fix it right. So question- what did my $400+ dollars get me? Why wasn't it fixed right the first time, even paying more money I would have done. I wasn't asked, " hey do you want me to fix it on a budget? No ... I would have wanted my $400 to go towards that $1200+ to fix it right! One season with the water not leaking in the house ( most likely still leaking in the attic though) and that's what my $400 got? Wow! So disappointed, and to think I gave his name to two friends who used them. I couldn't be more disappointed! Now hiring another company to do it right and giving me a four year guarantee that the work will last! Now that's someone who stands behind the work they do! Again nice enough people but you can't tell me that they couldn't make good by allowing that $400 to go towards doing the job right. Which should have been done right the first time! read more

She was so very patient with me as I had a very hard time picking a color for the roof and the gutters. (Took me weeks!) Not to mention understanding all the different types of roofs. (I am sure a lot of people in my neighborhood thought I was stalking them as I would drive by their home looking at their roofs for days trying to figure out a color) Troy was GREAT! I cannot speak for the quality of work however I can attest to the lack of common courtesy. I spoke with someone who was to come and make a repair. We made a firm date and time and they were a no show. When I followed up with a phone call to all I get is a voice mail. I have left several messages and I have yet to get a courtesy call back. I was not satisfied at all with the customer service or workmanship by this company. i do understand that an estimate is not good for longer than 30 days but we had an estimate done a couple of months prior to our re-roofing project and when we called to schedule the work the price that they now required was $1500 more. After a brief explanation from the secretary on increased material costs we decided to schedule the job. This required multiple call backs to the office as they never answered their phone and took days to call you back. When our job did get started is where we ended up with more problems. I arrived home from work the first day to find that it looked like a lot had been accomplished. I took a walk around the house and found that the gutters we had installed were fastened poorly to the eaves. The downspouts that ran down the side of our house were just smashed over the conduit which runs on the side of the house. The shed which is attached to the side of our house was "not part of the job". They had spray painted gutters and/or downspouts on our lawn which now has brown outlines on it. We were very displeased. The company did decide to replace the 30 or 40 sq. ft of roofing on the shed, upon completion I looked at it and the flashing they used was all bent and wrinkled with a ton of silicone all over it. This is in an area where you need a ladder to see the flashing, yet the lack of workmanship here makes me question all the other areas I cannot access or see. The building permit was listed as being 30 year material when we were paying for 40 yr. When they came to collect the money the told us they were giving us a discount of $150 for the trouble, but yet this was still $50 dollars more than the price we were quoted. When we asked why, " you must have misunderstood what I said the first time" was the response. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Yes, they were fast, but this was due to the lack of quality work being performed. read more
