They are still open as I write this, but they decided not to send the gyro. Just a refund. Where to even begin? I'm staring at the dry, microwaved food as I type this review. I ordered a chicken kabob plate and chicken kubideh plate for delivery. Upon opening the box I could immediately tell something was seriously wrong. The chicken looked dried out and had the taste and texture of rubber, microwaved chicken that has probably been sitting out all day. It's one thing to serve your customers bad food, but if you can visually see that the food is not RIGHT, don't you stop and think? It baffles my mind how they could give such terrible, old food. The rice was severely under seasoned, and the pita bread was not heated before being put in the to go box. I can't understand how this place has 4.5 stars... I'm pretty sure dining in would give you fresher food, but since I got it delivered through postmates, they served me yesterday's trash. Avoid this establishment at all costs. read more

I found this place while searching for a halal place to eat at with my friends, and boy does this place scream VARIETY!!! I ordered the King Burger, which had halal burger meat, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, swiss cheese, crispy onions, and the best part...a sunny side up egg! It was delishhhh! The Greek fries were to dieeee for. It was french fries topped with gyro meat, feta cheese, tzatziki sauce, onions and parsley. My friends got gyros and they were very satisfied with them. Let's not forget the customer service! The lady in the front was extremely friendly and patient the entire time (we probably spent about 15 minutes asking her questions about everything on the menu). So this is my 3rd time ordering from here, the 1st time I found a long hair on the top of my rice but I let it slide bc it was decent amount of food for the price and I just scooped out that rice and ate the rest. But today they really annoyed me so here it goes. This review is for my experience tonight 8/8/19. Was in the area and was craving beef koobideh and didn't want to go to my usual place on Ventura so decided to order it through yelp again. Time for pick was eta 8:29 arrived around 8:25 literally only 1 other couple in there I'm guessing they had already ordered but I stood at the register for 10 WHOLE MINUTES yes I timed it before anyone even acknowledged I was there. They had a bell there didn't want to ring it but after a few mins decided enough was enough and rung it and still nothing. A lady that was washing dishes in the back (there's a window you can see them) walked to the fridge looked over at me and proceeded to do what she was doing. OK rude much but whatever, finally a lady with short blonde hair pointed at me and I'm assuming said one moment. Sat down no one else even bothered to come in so they can't say they were having a dinner rush or were close to closing if they close at 10pm. Finally comes out after 12 mins and whispers something so I tell her "pick up for *insert my name*" she just looks at me with a bag in her hand of food. She says "no *mumbling something* order" so I tell her it was a beef koobideh with rice and I ordered through yelp. She says "no yelp here" so I repeat myself and she looks at a tablet and says "yours". So I take the food and the bag is covered in grease I mean COVERED. So gross. I was so over it at this point that I just walk out and here I am sitting in my car in front of the restaurant haven't even looked at the food writing this review. I get it these Middle Eastern places usually aren't that welcoming especially to "foreigners" but business is business lady and you literally mumbled your entire encounter with me and made me feel stupid if I'm literally just saying my order to you after being ignored for over 10 mins. Most likely this is my last time coming here since this encounter rubbed me the wrong way and it's out of my way. Let us pray the food is worth the $14 I paid for and there's not hair in there this time and that I can open that grease trap. If you don't want online orders than it's simple DISCONNECT the service and don't offer it. Imagine if I would've walked in to place my order I still would've been waiting. read more

This place was pretty awesome. You're given great portions for a good price. We got the kobida beef plate and pita. The plate was really good and the rice was some of the best I ever had. The beef itself was juicy and tender and I enjoyed every bite! I do wish the portions were a bit bigger, but it's great value for the money! read more

Food is AMAZING but the experience of making a catering order was absolutely horrible. We called and walked-in in person for weeks but couldn't get any kind of answers or a price quote because the guy's mom wasn't there. Finally got a call back from her and we were given a quote for our order. We called back later to increase our order and accepted an increased price as well. The day of our party we had a family member pick up our order and she charged a less amount and then we were harassed all day NOT about the difference but that we owe MORE than what was agreed to because his "mom doesn't know how to work the register" After some back and forth he apologies for the inconvenience and says don't worry about the money and just please return the warmers. Our family member returns the warmers and shakes his hand but we soon got a call from his mom saying we owe extra money (more than original quote), that she was cooking since 6am & that so and so family member is sick. We talk to the son again and he stays firm on the "my mom doesn't know how to work the register" excuse, and haggled us to pay the difference + extra. We even spoke to him earlier this week to make sure everything was all set with our order but he says he never saw our bill when he said all was good. I'm not sure how his mom not knowing how to use the register and his inability to look at our bill are our fault. I was HAPPY to pay the difference of what was agreed upon multiple times before our party, but to be pressured to pay extra because they decided they didn't charge enough is absolutely unacceptable. Let me start by saying the food is good. They're new to town, and I want them to succeed. But... They're rude. The service is terrible and communicating with them on the phone or in person is painful. I waited until our 8th visit to write this review... hoping they'd get better, and hopefully this review helps. Please be courteous. Please greet your guests when they enter. My wife and I have each gone in multiple times and been treated poorly. Their wait times are always wrong. They say 20 minutes, and it takes 40. We were 2:0 last Saturday. My friends and I decided to embark on a culinary adventure with a drive from Santa Monica to Northridge to try Afghani food. We drove out last Saturday 8/3 and arrived hungry at 12 noon. Only we found you closed. Your website indicated you were open. There was no sign on the front door telling us otherwise. I just wanted to let you know that we tried to eat there, drove quite a ways and were very disappointed to not try your food! From here, we tried to go to he Afghan Kebab place in Beverly Hills, which also had great reviews...and found them closed too! Very disappointed. I came from Sam Francisco California and I was staying in Hollywood. I drove 1/2 hour each way to pick up some food that I ordered for over $60 dollars. The bolani smelled really bad. The mantu meat was rotten. The ashak leaks were old and slimy. The qabili palo meat was not cooked and the rice was hard. I called to complain to the Owner and the older lady who was back there cooking hanged up on me. The Customer service was extremely horrible and the food was not eatable. Was craving some Middle Eastern food and found out a new place that opened. I have to rave about the special burger they make here. It is seriously something that everyone should try at least one if you are a self professed burger lover. It is unique and I can't say that I have had anything like this elsewhere. I don't even know what the name of it is nor did I see a picture as they were working on revamping their pictures and menu's. I got also the Afgani Chicken Plate and asked for no raisins because I am not too huge on raisins. I was surprised at how good the rice was, but was a little disappointed in the chicken as it was a bit dry and there could have been a bit more. Definitely +1 for actually having some spicy house sauces as I will always respect a place that can put something out with a slight kick. read more

Again I placed an order via yelp/grubhub and when I get here to pick up my order they're closed although it's within their posted open hours. Unfortunately I have to come back and change my yelp review. We've had major issues with their ordering lately. Either completely late (over 30 minutes) or not delivered through the grub hub system at all. Their food is still wonderful- it's too bad they can't get their delivery/order taking together. So disappointing. ______________________ We've order from this place a couple of times now for delivery and it never disappoints. The portions sizes are healthy and I love their Afghan Chicken. Two stars only because the food was good even though it was cold, otherwise it would have one star We ordered food from this restaurant. 45 minutes goes by and I get a call from the restaurant asking me why I haven't picked up my order. I advised we had ordered delivery, and paid the delivery fee. I was informed that I had not and the restaurant did not have a driver. We hung up, and a couple minutes later I got a second phone call from a different person who told me eat24 was responsible for delivery and thier driver had not picked up the food and it would be cold. While on the phone this time I missed another call from an unknown number. I hung up on the lady making excuses for cold food (that we hadn't even received) and called the mystery number back. I got in touch with a man this time who told me the driver had just picked up but it was eat24 who was late picking it. While I was on the phone with this guy as he kept telling me how it was all eat24 this and that, a delivery car pulls up. The driver says Uber eats? I of course say no, she goes to call her customer. I go back inside, and a couple minutes later, my phone rings and it's the Uber eats lady asking if friend ordered for me. All in all, it really didn't need to be this confusing. The restaurant clearly lied and was trying to blame eat24 for not having a driver tonight. So they apparently hired Uber eats in a pinch, lied about it and scheduled it poorly. read more
