I AM AFGHAN AND THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST AND MOST AUTHENTIC AFGHAN FOOD IVE HAD IN ALL OF LA!…read more I ordered the potato and leek bolanee. Both were delicious, I always prefer leek over potato but that's my preference both were amazing. I also ordered the mantoo which was cooked to perfection and the afghan rice with lamb shank which is essentially khabuli pualo was also delicious. The lady who was running the spot was the sweetest lady ever she included an extra plate for us the Chapli kabob, which was exceptional! I was not expecting it to be this good!!! the meat was so so tender I thought it was lamb! Definitely going to be my regular spot! So happy to have found this gem! Also keep in mind this food is FRESH and made to order so factor in that it's not a drive through joint and the food isn't just sitting out, there is one lady running the store and cooking so be patient you won't be disappointed. Overall 10/10 I will definitely be back and recommend this place to everyone!!!

For food, I had the Chicken Afghani Plate, which was one of the more popular items here. The chicken was good, though a bit on the tougher end. The hummus-like dip (Shor Nakhod?) was more runny than hummus but easier to eat and scoop for the hummus. The side salad was tasty but on the more sour end. The service itself was pretty dismissive. When the food was read, it was bagged and dropped on the counter - not a single word. Immediately, the lady turned her back for a full minute while working on the tablet. The interior was also not my favorite to wait in. The door was wide open, which is fine, but the interior had a nest of bugs and flies. At first, I didn't mind it, until I got home and discovered that within those 10 minutes of waiting, I had 3 bug bits just on my legs!

Six people in our group ordered kale pache, three portion, based on the owner's recommendation, three portions were more than enough for six people, and he was right. Two of us ordered Persian omelet, which was amazingly delicious. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. They refilled the Persian bread, sangak, and tea nonstop. At the end, the owner gave us complimentary coffee and fruit from his own backyard. This place is good for groups, and they remodeled the store recently. There is an outdoor sitting area and plenty of spots inside of the store. Also if you are big group, just call them and reserve you spot for peace of mind. Just keep in mind that Persian food preparation takes time, so you can order earlier by phone or wait at the store. Definitely recommend this place to give it a try.

They even have their own parking lot, which is a huge plus. The value here is incredible. The $12.99 three-item combo comes with generous portions plus naan, yogurt, pickles, and dessert. The portions are no joke, one combo can easily turn into multiple meals. Everything tastes homemade and comforting, with plenty of variety to choose from. Beyond the combo plates, they have classic favorites like chole bhature, dahi vada, and pani puri, along with a large selection of Indian sweets such as rasgulla and laddoo. They also stock savory snacks like namkeen and bhujia, making it a great place to pick up treats to take home. One thing that makes this place special is the hospitality. On weekends, they'll sometimes put out trays of sweets for customers to enjoy, and occasionally staff walk around offering fresh jalebis. It's a small touch, but it adds to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. It can get busy around weekend lunch, but it's well worth the wait. My dad lived in Punjab for several years, and this is his favorite Indian spot in Los Angeles which is a pretty strong endorsement. If you're looking for authentic, hearty Indian food at a great price, Baba Sweets & Jalebi Junction is hard to beat.

The only thing that breaks my heart is that it's slower than before. Compared to the expensive places by Woodland Hills that have good quality Persian food for a good price rather than 50$ for two skewers of koobideh, it's juicy, it's delicious, and it's cheaper, and more authentic. The place, the owner, the decoration, food, everything. 10/10.

Their hot menu is limited, but covers all the hallmarks of well known Pakistani favorites. Carry out is the way to go. They also have a hot case with samosas (prepared like they really should, with a crisp but thin outer dough wrap). Intoxicating aroma. No thick dough. The accent is on the filling. Here the ground beef, the ground chicken are very mild, but there are no fillers, you can absorb the freshness. Goat samosas are unique, hard to find. Yet my first experience was a surprise. The goat meat is ground, that is okay. But the filling was cold, even had ice particles, exuded cold water. Clearly made from a frozen batch of meat. Another first. These appetizers lack clout in spices, hence miss the mark. Somehow, the potato samosas are the best. The chicken empanada, in my opinion, overtakes the chicken samosa in texture, flavor and overall taste. Chicken Biriyani is good, but needs consistency in flavor, color, fragrance and intensity. The green chutney and raita that accompany these dishes are different and unremarkable. Seekh Kabob (two of them to an order), while well priced, were dry and bland. In spite of this, food here is prepared fresh daily (not the goat samosa), halal and diverse. There is no fish. Service is exceptional.
