We order from here occasionally and never had an issue. But, last month I put an order in for their Philly cheesesteak and wrote in notes "not spicy". Received "spicy" cheesesteak. I called the restaurant and spoke to someone named Darvish (not sure of spelling ), he said next time let them know and he wont charge us. I called order in yesterday, mentioned the wrong order letting them know who we spoke to. When my son went to pick up, they would not honor the free order. Said it was over a month ago. I've been wanting to try this place for the longest time and today was finally the day. This is a chill fast food place with good menu. They have everything, from burgers to wings to platters, you name it. I got the hot spicy chicken burger and buffalo wings and they both were great. The burger patty was fresh and juicy and the spice level was just perfect. The fries were also very good, just the perfect amount of crunch. The buffalo wings were freshly fried and very tender. The service is quick, they accept cards and the guys behind the counter are all very nice, they'll ask you what you want in your burger which is great if you're into customizing. One downside is that they don't have any sauces out for people to use, so if you want ketchup or some other sauce, you'll have to ask for the ones kept behind the counter and put some on your plate (which could be annoying if you run out and have to keep asking for it). Also one of the tables was broken and wobbly, it's an easy fix, hope they do something about it or put up a note. I've ordered from here no less than 3 times and each time I have come away less and less impressed. The 1st time, I ordered via the Yelp app, I was upcharged about 20-25% more to have NONE of my food ready when promised. When I walked in at the appointed time, to pick up my order, they asked me what I had ordered and they said "ok, let me make that for you". Why did I even call ahead AND pay MORE to have to wait in line like everyone else and have my food prepared only when I got there? That being said, my family and I did enjoy the food. Flavors were good but beware their hot sauce lacks kick - it's tangier than anything else and not very fiery. The white sauce is pretty good though. We ordered platters without salad and subbed in fries. The fries tasted good but were super soggy by the time I got home (in under 10 mins). Perhaps putting them into containers with a little venting would be practical. Also ordered a couple of falalel balls to try out and I had the same impression - good flavor but got soggy during transport. The 2nd and 3rd times (keep in mind all 3 times were within about a month and a half), I was underwhelmed by the quantity of food we got. On the last visit, I noticed how stingy the server was when packing rice into our platters. Whereas most halal places/carts pack in the rice and layer the meats on top, the guy who was serving us was shaking the rice in ever so carefully. How much does rice cost these days? It's like I was asking for freshly shaved truffle that is super expensive. This is just rice! The meat, too, was not very generously given (I usually get the chicken & lamb combo). I don't know if they realize how much halal food competition there is in the area but if they want to retain their customers, they need to step it up in this area as there are many other places (especially carts) which give you a bigger bang for your buck. When it comes to halal food, the value you get goes a long way IMHO. Lastly, I find this place to be inefficient when they usually have 3-4 guys on staff. One guy stands at the register and all he needs to do is bag the food and ring up customers. The other 2-3 are free to work the grill and assemble orders on the line. Whenever I have been here, there is never a huge line inside, yet everything takes more time than it should. And, yes, I am factoring in call-ahead orders they have to prep for pick up. Perhaps if they spent less time hyper-analyzing how much rice and chicken to put into each platter and were more generous with filling things up, things would go quicker. I'm not trying to be snarky because I really do want to like the overall experience enough to return, but I may need to take a hiatus and see if they step up their game by the time I return. I'm docking a couple of stars for service/wait and value. Otherwise, would be closer to 3.5 to 4 stars. The venue is generally clean, spacious, and attractive so kudos for that. For the rice platter, they give you a large variety of sides such as cucumber salads and you can ask them to include hummus and fries. The crispy chicken sandwich is a tad under-fried sometimes but for the price, it is an acceptable meal. First, they're one of the larger Halal spots I've been to and that's a plus for those that just want to sit down and chow down real quick instead of waiting to have the food at home. For a spot that I was planning on going to just grab quick halal, it turned out to be one of the best spots I've been to. Don't you just love that? Not impressed with their spicy chicken sandwich. Smallest chicken piece/cutlet/ patty ? Basically came with a ton of spicy sauce on it. Do NOT touch spicy sauce unless you want stained yellow fingers. I guess it has tumeric in it. My daughter got the Cheeseburger which was good. It's a super casual place - basically the same as getting your chicken/lamb with rice at a street cart except indoors with seating. Prices are comparable as well. I ordered the chicken with rice which comes with a cucumber/onion salad and side (fries or hummus). The chicken had good flavor and wasn't dry. If you are dining in, you can add your own sauces found in the beverages fridge. I love to drench my chicken and rice in white sauce and barbecue together. Both were on point in flavor. One thing I have to point out is that there is definitely room for improvement in cleanliness. Some of the best fast, casual halal food that I've had in Queens. I ate chicken tikka over rice with a salad and a few slices of pita. It was a very reasonable portion for $7.99. The salad was a tomato, cucumber, red onion, and lettuce salad with a simple olive oil/vinegar dressing. A new restaurant that has platters and gyros. I got a mixed plate. It consisted of lamb and chicken with peppers and onions over rice. It came with french fries and a side salad with chopped onions, cucumbers and tomatoes. The chicken was marinated very well and the lamb had a nice crust to it. It was very tasty and it was not super oily like how you get it in the street carts. The rice on the other hand was a bit dry and hard but having it mixed up with the white, hot and bbq sauce you couldn't tell the difference. The meal does not normally come with pita bread but the guys who packed my food threw some pita on the side. (Ty for that). Overall I'd return back to this place if I am craving halal over rice and when I am in the area. No problems, great service and good food.
