The person who has an unreasonable fear of the dentist? That's me. I'm your guy. The staff here were wonderful, and really took care of me and made sure to check in and work with my nerves. They do have state of the art equipment which was very nice to experience including a wonderfully detailed camera so you can see parts of your mouth that you wish you never have. Dr. Kussick, Jay (hygienist), and the support staff were all so caring and very educated on everything from top to bottom. Everything from the setting the appointment online (very easy), the communication before, during, and after the care was top notch. The paperwork at the end of it all was simple to read and made sense to me with a treatment plan for what I am after (pearly whites like a movie star baby), with costs neatly laid out and everything. For having such an unreasonable fear for the dentist, this was such a nice experience, and I will highly recommend the Team here to anyone with my fear or not, they will take care of you! read more

In short: The best dental experiences I've ever had. Seriously. In long: I needed a dentist urgently - broken tooth acting up - and my erstwhile dentist was WAY far away in another town. Thankfully, the very-efficient and amiable Megan at Dr. Kussick's office was able to get me in the same day. I've had some pretty awful dental experiences in the past, resulting in near-crippling dental anxiety. So hearing that I needed a root canal in any other situation would likely have resulted in heart palpitations and a tension headache. But Dr. Kussick and his staff listened to my concerns, addressed my anxiety and came up with a plan that would get me out of pain and fix my mouth. While I can't promise that your root canal will be as painless as mine, I can promise you that Dr. Kussick will try his best to make it so. It's easyish to find a dentist who can do good work. Maybe even to find a dentist who will be gentle and communicative. However, it's more difficult to find those qualities in the same dentist. If you're reading this review, then you already have; Dr. Kussick is your guy. I've since gone on to get a cleaning and a crown from Dr. Kussick. As someone who was looking for a new dentist, I contacted them because the reviews were very good. They offered me an appointment and directed me to their website to complete my new patient forms, which I did same day. When I reached out to them later to see if they were able to contact my old dentist to get my records, they told me I didn't have an appointment, that the time they had given me was already filled and to call to request an appointment. I'm not sure they would have told me that I didn't have the time they offered me if I hadn't emailed them to check-in about my records. When I called, they told me they had enough info to reach out to my dentist, but that they had not, and that they wanted to do full xrays, which I objected to as I had already had xrays. When we couldn't find a time that worked after a couple of suggestions, the person on the phone recommended I look somewhere else, which I will be doing. read more

I just moved to Seattle and one of my biggest fears was not finding a good dentist. I found him! Dr Kussick proved to be well educated, kind, and with excellent dental skills. The mouth is a very small place to work and Dr Kussick managed with dexterity to give me painless, precise dental treatments. I have gone to a lot of dental offices and I'm happy most of the times but I have to say I have mix feelings with this dental office. Pros : it's in SLU so it's very easy to get to. They have this TV screen for you to watch movie when you have your teeth cleaned, which is a great idea. Cons : I'm in between 2-3 stars but I give this 3 stars because of doctor Jea. I had a deep cleaning session with her and she had to do all the work by herself with no assistant but she was very gentle, attentive and she was so kind to check up on you the next day to make sure things were ok. I'll give her 5 stars. The 2 stars is sadly for Dr Kussick. I came back for the second session of deep cleaning and it was done by him, the experience was not very positive. First, he injected some numb medication too roughly on my gum that it really hurt. I had this done many times before and other doctors are just much more careful and gentle. Dr Kussick was rough. To make it worse, he had an assistant to work with on my teeth and he kept chatting with the assistant during the session. I hope Dr Kussick knows that's it's one of the top pet peeves for most people. It's so simple, if you work on someone's teeth you don't chit chat, other than talking to your patient. The job was done on my teeth quite quickly and I didn't feel it's the same quality with Dr.Jea's work. His assistant later cleaned my teeth as the last step and the job was also poorly done. I left with residue left on my teeth. Overall my second teeth cleaning session was done without attentiveness, also it felt like a business transaction only, just to get things done/over with. I'm disappointed. It's normally hard to go wrong with dentists. So I'd say I would not come back, but if you do come here, ask for Jea. read more

Have you ever heard about ACID BURN from a dental visit? I've not till it happened to me recently. I went in for simple front teeth filling replacements. During the procedure, I noticed some liquid dropped on my face while a lot of splashing and drilling going on. I didn't feel much since my face was numbed for the treatment. During the break, I asked the assistant to wipe the liquid of my face. She done so with a wet tissue and no word was mentioned about what happened to my face. Mr Kussick came in and completed the procedure. Still no words mentioned about my face. I found out only after looking into a mirror with a total shock! Not till then Mr. Kussick started by saying acid split sometimes happened and blamed that my skin was TOO SENSITIVE in reacting to it. REALLY!! Did he just mention it's ACID!! He tried to make me feel it's my skin problem not because of his careless behavior. Not until I asked for discount, they started apologizing. I still paid a big portion of the service. Now I am walking around and go to meetings with a burn on my face while having the emotional scarcity of a scar on my face. Not to mention the cost of special care and medication needed in the following weeks. Horrible experience. Be aware!! read more

This is a practice you can trust. There is a lot of trust needed when going to the dentist. You sit in a chair and have someone poke at your teeth for a while. Then the dentist comes in gives you a diagnoses and you sort of have to go with what they say. Like taking your car in, you never know how thorough or how switched on your mechanic is. Well, technology seems to have helped to change that. When I visited Dental@888 I was impressed with how thorough the hygienist was with my teeth. She refused to let a piece of tartar (and there was lots) remain. She scratched and rubbed for quite a while making sure no corner was left unseen. Then some cool UV photos of my teeth followed by an analysis with Dr. Kussick. He quickly spotted a little tooth decay on one of my molars and rather than describe it to me (which would have meant me having to trust what he said) he showed it to me with the UV photos. Super cool. So I need to go back and have this little problem worked on but it seems like no big deal. I know I will be in good hands. + Very thorough, cool use of technology, ultra modern office, free coffee, friendly staff - You may just find you have something in your mouth you don't want to find. I have been to Dr. Kussick twice - once for a routine teeth cleaning and then for a root canal/crown. Both the times, I had one of the most wonderful experiences working with a dentist. He is very thorough, explains everything very clearly and gives you enough time to ask clarifying questions. We have been going to Dr Kussick for many years. This is his new office, after having spent some time working in Singapore. Dr Kussick is incredibly good at what he does, very caring towards his patients and utterly professional. He uses the latest technology for his dental care, yet doesn't push for unneeded treatments. He has a very balanced and no nonsense approach to dentistry -- I trust him 150% with his recommendations. Should you have dental emergencies (which happened to me once), he makes himself readily available to help. Appointments are easy to get, and his staff is knowledgeable and attentive. Let me start by saying that I am terrified of the dentist. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate my level of fear at an 11. After not having been to the dentist in nearly 5 years and having tooth pain, I realized that it was time to face the music. From booking my first appointment to finishing up my cleaning, I had an excellent experience. The receptionist was friendly and informative, the hygenist and technician were cheerful and calming, and Dr. Kussick was very professional. I returned for one more appointment (fillings), and got to watch Netflix (Netflix!) while the dentist did his work. EXCELLENT experience! Very professional. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful when it comes to booking appointments, billing, etc.. Dr. Kussick and the assistants do great work and always make sure I'm comfortable and relaxed, whether it's giving me a warm blanket or just explaining everything in an easy way that I can understand. These people are amazing. I hadn't been to the dentist in years and was really nervous to back, but my fiancé recommended them to me. He was in the same boat and said that they did a great job and were really friendly so I decided to check them out. The receptionist, Sierra, is awesome. Very friendly and always on top of communicating with you regarding appointment times, billing questions, things like that. I also appreciate that she always offered me coffee or tea each time I came to an appointment which was three in total so far. My first appointment was X-Rays and a comprehensive exam of my teeth since I hadn't seen a dentist in so long. Dr Kussick was very thorough and answered all of my questions and also went over exactly what they would need to do in my next visits. He made me feel very much at ease and not nervous at all. On top of that, he's just a really nice guy and very professional. My hygienist, Crystal, was also great. She also, was very friendly and did a really nice job on my teeth. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the cleaning which was really nice, considering there was a lot of deep cleaning to do. Also, Larisa was wonderful as well. She assisted Dr Kussick during two fillings that I had done. I was also offered some Netflix while they worked on me, which I thought was brilliant. I can't recommend this location enough, really. If you're just looking for a new dentist or like me, hadn't gone in a while and are nervous about it, then see them. I also didn't have any dental insurance which was worrying since I'm on a tight budget. Sierra helped me get a CitiHealth card so I can make monthly payments instead. On a side note, I also really appreciate the quality of equipment they used which all seemed to be brand new. The rooms and lobby were also spotless. You all rock!!! Thank you so much!!! Totally UNSATISFIED with work ethics!! I've never felt so taken ADVANTAGE of in all of my life! I'm in the dental chair having a tooth worked on, and Dr. Kussick says "do you want me to replace this filling WHILE I already have local anethesia ... it would be free under your insurance" I know my budget and what I can and cannot pay for, I decided to seize the opportunity and since I didn't have to pay anymore out of pocket. I went for it, better to get it right then at no additional costs, then have to have it done at a later date. I get to the front desk and the charge was doubled!!!! I told the front desk what Dr. SCAM said and she replies with a simple, "oh, he doesn't know whats going on with insurances"... UHM, THEN DON'T LIE TO your patients and say its free and put them right there on the spot. I paid what I was told the cost of the visit would be (before this "FREE" re-filling) because that's all budgeted for! I get a call looking for the additional payment and told the lady I spoke with what happened and that it wasn't right that I had to pay when I was told it was free... said she would look into it and never got a call back. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL way of handling matters! I agree with the high turnover rate of employees mentioned previously! DON'T TRUST THIS DENTIST!!!!! read more

I have found there are good dentists and bad dentists and then there are dentists you go out of your way to go back to. I was particularly impressed when he noticed a small problem with a cavity he put in and offered to repair it free of charge, it sounds simple enough, but considering how many cavities I have had break due to previous dentist incompetence only to be charged to fix it I am pleased with Dr Kussicks workmanship and honesty. read more
