Pretty good restaurant! I've had bougie sushi in Little Tokyo of Los Angeles and my parents have lived in Tokyo for many years. We didn't understand the hype about this restaurant, so it wasn't impressive to us but we also thought it's quite good. There's way too much AC in there so make sure to bring a jacket of some sort. Of the seven courses, the tempura, sea bass, and tiramisu cake were the standouts. These three dishes were well prepared and flavored well. The other dishes were not bad except the first course of seaweed, which was incredibly sour for us. Other parties had to rinse it down. The sauce for the tuna was also really salty. Overall, it's great but not superb as others make it out to be.

This place is amazing!! One of the best Japanese restaurants I've tasted. This place even rivals a few places we've tried in Japan! You need to make reservations in advance to eat here. We made our reservation at check in. Once everyone is seated, everyone is served at the same time. It's a 6 course tasting menu and you have 1-3 items to choose from in every course. It's about an hour and half to 2 hour experience depending upon the reservations. Our seating time was about half of the restaurant full. All is included, alcohol too, with your all inclusive stay. Now, to the dishes. We had everything Japanese. Raw fish, cooked fish, seaweed, curry, tempura battered and pickled. Everything tasted legit! Wow!! Some of the offerings even tasted better here than Japan. I believe you can access this restaurant if you only stay at the hotel, but I'm not sure. This meal is an easy $50-$100 meal in the states!

Food was decent! They brought out special dessert to celebrate special occasion. Really loved it. Second visit: We walked in for dinner, busy. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed and we were as patient as can be. Tables around us received seconds before we ever got our original order. I was looking forward to dinner but it was about an hour and I gave up. We got up and informed the front that the wait was too long and other tables after us received better service. Things happen. The manager on duty apologized. Second visit didn't ruin my thoughts on Moongate. Their menu is great and the atmosphere was lovely.

In terms of restaurant options at the Hyatt Ziva, I would put Moongate kinda in the middle tier. It was basically one the meals we were fine with and would consider going back while we were at the resort. Ordered: - Sashimi - Salmon, Tuna, Catch of the Day (Sea Bass) - one of the thickest and widest cuts ever. - Special Kiuri Maki - this one was ok. I preferred the other maki we got. - Maguro Spicy Maki - Bibimbap - Lo Mein - this portion was really big in my opinion and they give a lot of protein. - Banana Mille Feuille - a bit dense for me. my least favorite dessert we had at the resort.

Make a reservation for the Asian fusion inspired La Vista via the QR restaurant reservation menu…read more The second best place that we tried at the Omni for dinner. From Thai noodles to Indian samosas to Vietnamese Pho, there are so many choices. Loved the salad bar. The wide variety of cheeses, salads and seafood options was a great starter as we waited for our meal. Favorites included the hearts of palm, couscous and marinated artichoke hearts. Our server, Fernando, was so sweet. For apps, we had the Wonton de Atun, samosas stuffed with potatoes and green peas, and the Chicharron de Pesacado. All were delicious. The lamb vindaloo was okay for an entree. At Fernando's suggestion, we split the Helado frito con jarabe de chocolate. Fried ice cream is always a fun way to end an Asian fusion inspired meal.
