Great hardware store for Julington Creek locals. Large selection of anything you might need and a huge nursery. I like the personal service of someone greeting me as I come in to ask how they can help. Big shout out to Larry for going the extra mile and staying a few minutes late to customize a tool for my wife even though she came in just 15 minutes before closing. We were in the middle of moving and would have wasted another 2 hours without his assistance. That said the reason no 5 star rating is due to Byron saying " Nope, sorry we're closing.". Larry saved not only my opinion of this store but also will have me coming back in the future. read more

Terrible customer service. While in the middle of placing an order for a sale item to be delivered, they changed the date of delivery five days ahead. I then received a call and was told they could get it to me a day early. After waiting all day for the delivery, I called the store and was told it now would not be delivered for three additional days. Their response....sorry. I have always preferred to support local businesses rather than the big chains but after this I will not return. It seems to be an ongoing problem with this store of not having advertised specials in stock and merchandise not available when they promise. read more

I like to support local shops. I buy from Haggen Ace on a regular basis. Today I went in and picked up several items well in excess of $100.00 and a plant stand that was with all the other plant stand. It was not marked so the girl at the register called for some help. Waited for 5 minutes, another employee comes up and asks why its not marked? I don't know. She says it is a display and they won't sell it. None of the other plant hangers were marked either. I left my stuff on the counter and left, but thought better of it and asked to see a manager. Waited for 5 minutes again and was told he was on a conference call. I was asked if I wanted to leave my phone number so he could call me back. Still waiting on the phone call but in the meantime Amazon has what I wanted, I just would like to support the local market, but I expect them to support me. read more

I have recently started shopping at this Ace since it is really close to my new house. I really enjoy the level of customer service I experience at Ace compared to its competitors. I did have a bit of a mix up on a recent trip, I had purchased a non standard color of paint and they were supposed to keep the mix on file. I went back later for a second gallon and they could not find my information. I was able to get the information off the old can and get everything squared away. All the people who helped me were super friendly and kept working with me until we had a solution. Way to go Ace! read more

It's a hit and miss with customer service. Somedays everyone is asking to help you as you walk through the store. Somedays they are busy talking to one another. Make eye contact with every customer that enters your store!! If you do, you will be able to see if they need assistance. You are expensive and we can drive to Walmart if we want to save $$. We come to you because we prefer to have a relationship and good customer service with our local shops. I give you 5 stars only because of one of your managers, Mike Brown. He is personable, helpful and cares....you cannot fake great customer service and he is superb with his customers!! read more

We have been shopping at that store for years and were willing to pay the extra $$ for the location convenience. Last week we checked our credit statement and were surprised to see a charge for 25 plants that we did not purchase. We were told that when it comes to plants, we have to check our bill prior to getting out of the store. So we lost $64 and the store lost a customer forever. read more

I live in Ponte Vedra Beach, so I'm not a regular customer of Hagan Ace Hardware. Saw it this morning and stopped in for a quick purchase before an appointment in the neighborhood. This is a seriously large Ace Hardware! Extensive stock, really nice people. Switching glasses on my way into the store, I inadvertently lost a hearing aid. A bit later, the strange quiet prompted some alarm when I discovered it gone. Backtracking through previous stops brought me back to Ace and some wonderful people who had found it and wrapped it in a paper towel awaiting return of the owner. I cannot say "Thank You!" enough for "restoring my hearing." read more

We live in Palm Coast, and Ace had a fabulous sale going this Friday, Saturday and Sunday! I went to my local Ace in Palm Coast 7am this morning this morning & they were sold out of the bird bath, the bleach, the detergent, and the trash bags on the sale! I first asked if I could place a order and they couldn't.. Then I asked for a rain check.. They didn't offer rain checks at the Palm Coast ace.. I was so upset because I was so looking forward to this sale, so we decided to drive to the Hogan Ace in Palaka, which only was 30 minutes away! Not only did they all greet us fabulous, they went out of they're way to help us find all the items we had been looking for! He thought they were out of only the bleach, and automatically suggested a rain check, only until he went out of his way to check inventory a second time, in the back and pulled them out and re stocked the shelves we were on our way with everything we wanted! Excellent service great store, fabulous staff. I will make the drive to return to the store for sure! read more

I am holding the sales paper in my hand. I took this paper in the Ace on San Jose Blvd and there were plenty more in the store. I tried to buy a "Gerber multi-tool plier" shown on page 3 of the December paper. When I tried to buy the pliers pictured in the paper, the store manager told me that it was an add for the Winchester multi-tool that was made by Carolina blades. The picture was wrong. When I asked why they false advertised I was told by the manager "this is a national paper". I called the national company and they said this was a local company paper. When I confronted the manager with this information he told me "oh, the advertising company made the mistake". Then I asked if the store would honor their paper, the manager told me "no this store will not honor the paper". I have used this store in the past, but will always go elsewhere in the future! They use false advertising to get you in the door so they can try to overcharge you. They were not shocked about the false advertising. read more
