With much debate, stumbling across Genova Electric online and seeing some of their reviews…read moreelsewhere I decided to give them a chance at a new Glendale property I own. I spoke with Edward on the phone and had a very great conversation around them replacing some ceiling fans and check on some failing electrical work in the old home. After giving me a general estimate on the phone they were able to get out right away and evaluate exactly what I needed. Edward and another master electrician showed up so I felt in very capable hands. They were easy to deal with, professional and I'd definitely give them my business again. Pricing was right and I felt really good about the service provided.

Where do we start,…read more Our experience with Genova Electric was extremely disappointing. We were dispatched to Genova Electric through our First Premier Home Warranty for an urgent electrical issue at one of our rental properties. While we appreciated how quickly the technician arrived, the service quickly deteriorated after the initial visit. As the property owners, we specifically instructed the technician to communicate directly with us--not our tenant. Despite that request, he continued discussing the situation with our tenant, creating unnecessary concern and confusion instead of keeping the homeowners informed. The biggest issue, however, was the complete lack of communication and documentation. We repeatedly requested the diagnostic report that needed to be submitted to our home warranty company so the claim could proceed. Instead of providing the required documentation, we were told he preferred not to work through the home warranty process and offered to complete the repair privately for an additional charge. As paying home warranty customers, we expect contractors in their network to follow the proper claims process--not leave homeowners chasing paperwork while a covered repair sits unresolved. We spent far too much time making phone calls and repeatedly requesting basic documentation that should have been provided from the beginning. Professionalism, communication, and transparency are essential when dealing with electrical issues, especially in occupied homes. Unfortunately, our experience fell well below those expectations. Based on our experience, we would not use Genova Electric again and cannot recommend them to homeowners expecting timely communication, proper documentation, or cooperation with the home warranty process. Stay away from the guys who want to "Cut corners.."

He assured me he had worked with this product before and was confident he could do the job. When it rained, after his installation, water came pouring through the two holes where the light and ceiling fan work was done and the light shorted out and tripped the breaker. I sent Mark a text on august 8th, with a video showing the water coming though, and got no response. I called about a month later (we were on vacation) and he didn't answer but on September 18th he sent me the following text: "Good Morning Sir. I am currently in a psychiatric hospital and have been for a couple of months. I just got to see my phone. I will return your call when I am permitted to do so. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause". I then found the company who originally installed the patio cover and had a rep. come out to see if he can fix the problem caused by Mark. Mark had created two holes on top of the patio cover and ran a wire up one hole and down the other. He did not put the wire in conduit, leaving it exposed to the elements, and he did not even attempt to caulk the holes. I'm now having to bring in another electrician to correct Marks terrible work. In addition, Mark installed a 50 amp plug in my garage for my Tesla charging cord and now I am receiving a message indicating the wall plug temperature is high and I need to have the plug and the wiring inspected.

He set up an appointment with us knowing my husband had work that day so he would be getting up an hour earlier than normal. That morning came and the appointment time came. After 30 minutes past my husband tried calling him but he didn't answer. My husband texted him asking if he was running late. He received a reply. Garret said he wouldn't have time for us afterall and gave us a number for a different company.
