We had the BEST experience with this company. Our kids' rooms were not cooling sufficiently so we had them out to diagnose and fix the problem. There were a few options to fix the issue, but the owner recommended the cheapest and least invasive way to fix it. His team came out with within a week and fixed the issue! Honesty is rarity anymore and we truly appreciate this company and their willingness to take the conservative route before trying the more expensive options. We are lifers! read more

Mike Stewart and his team did a great job on diagnosing ac on why it wasn't producing cold air. I had a 20+ AC split unit that was old and tired and eventually quit in the heat of August. They replaced the whole unit with a much better unit that will last for many years to come! They were quick, efficient and thorough. They are honest and reliable people. The cost was very reasonable on a Trane ac split unit. The unit runs more quiet and more economical on the electric bill. And they suggested a Ecobee thermostat that way I can check on my phone the status of the ac or heat when I'm away. Great way to save $$$! I would recommend them to anyone! I recently moved into a new build home and smelled an odor emanating from all the vents(ductwork). The builder sent their people and were not able to properly diagnose the issue or even attempt to find an answer. Stewart Mechanical was recommended to me and I contacted them. The response from Stewart Mechanical was prompt and informative- they too wanted to figure out the issue. Hunter, one of the representatives, came out and ensured to assess every possibility before coming to a final conclusion. Hunter made sure to ask detailed questions and completed a thorough inspection. Ultimately Hunter was able to resolve the issue efficiently and brought my opinion into the decision making process. The matter has been fully resolved to my satisfaction. The Reme Halo purification system was wired incorrectly causing it to constantly run and that was producing the smell. Stewart mechanical took advantage of us. They charged us over $4,000 to service and repair for our AC units at a preschool. It all started when we contacted them to check and service our AC units. The first charge was $350 for taking the time to evaluate units and give a report. The entire job to service, clean and improve functionality was $1200, after the service within a matter of days we began to experience major issues needing emergency repairs which turned out to be another $2500!! Then when we called back on an issue that was already repaired and paid for, they came fixed it charged us another $600 and 2 days after it broke down yet again!! At this point, I decided that I was done calling them back. I called another company they came replaced an electrical part in the AC charged me $300 and the problem was solved!! So conclusion, Stewart Mechanical took advantage, scammed us by not doing a good job, BEWARE of working with this company! I already lost over $4600. Now because we didn't think it was fair to pay for a bill which we didn't approve repairs for, they have proceeded to threaten to put a lien on the property. Talk about a NIGHTMARE.... I cannot say enough wonderful things about Stuart Mechanical. I have used them for many years in both my home and my business. The property management of my business / retail shop initially recommended them. Incidentaly... my property mgt. owns, operates and oversees about 15 different shopping centers in the valley, so that in of itself was a huge recommendation on their behalf. I am really happy I took their advice because Michael and his crew have done an amazing job taking care of my air conditioning systems. I have a commerical accout with him as well as use him exclusively for my home issues. From simple annual a/c check ups to complex issues, they have never dissapointed me. I rarely if ever post reviews... but what finally triggered this yelp review was the following incident. I also have a home warranty company. My home ac unit broke down and this time I called my warranty company (American Home Warranty). I thought I would save some money... given they cover the ac unit with only a small deductible. Yeah right!! They came out and said they could fix it, but I have to pay extra for a CRANE to lift my unit to gain proper access. Of course my home warranty would't pay for the crane.... SO I CALLED Michael for a 2nd opinion and someone came out first thing NEXT MORNING and removed the broken part in 15 minutes WITHOUT needing a crane and then went to pick up the part and returned to install and fix it.. all that same morning! Unbelievable!!! He has always been available, fair, reliable and professional! I sense he truly cares about his customers and is HONEST, which sadly not the norm in businesses like his. I wholeheartedly recommend Stewart Mechanical and feel lucky I know someone like him when and if the need arises! read more

Stewart Mechanical Solutions is the most unprofessional and shady company I have ever worked with. All I needed was a thermostat change- I wanted to replace the old unit with a newer one, nothing fancy just a normal interface thermostat, no touch screen. This job on average should of cost $150-$300 depending on any complications. Mike, the owner, was the one I spoke to about the job and my neighbor recommended Mike so I trusted him. Before starting I asked for a quote, without any response. He then went ahead and replaced my thermostat, amazing! All was great until I received an invoice for $699!! I could not believe it, how did this job turn into $700?? First off, on the invoice they charged $250 for the Honeywell thermostat, I was able to find the exact model as its "high voltage" online, it retailed for $85. I asked Samantha (Mike's wife), to provide a receipt of their order. They were never able to provide me a receipt of the order and insisted they paid $120 + shipping + taxes (still not $250?). But could not provide any proof. I asked several times for the actual receipt, as I was happy to pay a fair price for the thermostat. Then they charged $95/hr for 4 hours of work. After all the back and forth of discrepancies with the thermostat, I went ahead and looked at my phone records to confirm when Mike arrived and received photos of when the job was done. It totaled to 3 hours, where did the extra hour of work come from? Samantha insisted the extra hour was for travel time, but they also charged the normal Travel Surcharge- $50. Interesting how they charge an extra $95 for "work" but its travel time. And then also charges a $50 travel fee. When I told them I would not pay the $700 invoice because it was completely outrageous and ridiculous. Then they proceeded to threaten to out a lien on my property. However, once I got my attorney involved they completely changed their tone. I told them I was happy to settle and pay a fair price for the work that was done. Looking at Yotam's review below, it sounds like this is what this company does- completes a job without a quote or approval and then demands a ridiculous amount, and if not paid threatens a lien. All I can say is BEWARE of this shady company, who scams their customers! I ended up paying $550 to just settle the matter. This experience was far from professional and a complete NIGHTMARE. Steweart Mechanical recently took over the Mechanical contract for my property, and I needed them to turn off water to the complex for a repair. While I have done plumbing repair in the past, I am not as efficient as a professional. I asked Mike before the project if he would also like to take care of the repair work for an additional cost. Mike installed a min-split in our home and informed us that he would assist if there were any problems. The first time there was a problem he came out and refilled the freon. We discussed and decided he'd return and do further diagnostic if it seemed to go low again as that'd mean there is a likely leak. He scheduled to come back and was a NO SHOW.
