We were referred to L&J in March of 2022 when a well known valley Refrigeration Co. we'd been with for over 13 years said it was time for a new unit at the spring check up visit. We didn't think we needed a new one. We had another company give us an estimate, which was less than our current company. Lastly we called L & J who our son in law likes. Paul came and said he was going to treat our unit like he was just coming for the annual maintenance. When he was done he said, Yes your unit is 12 yrs old but it is fine and does not need replacing. I promptly fired the old company and Paul has been coming twice a year for fall & spring maintenance and that unit is working just fine. Had an appointment to fix the air handler that was in the attic that was buzzing and not making the blower fan go on. Jason came during the time scheduled and troubleshot the unit and got me back up and running the same day. It ended up needing a new motor (I was hoping it was only needing a new capacitor) but he explained everything to me in detail that was going on and it made complete sense. I appreciate him explaining everything to me and he didn't dumb it down. He is a very Knowledgable tech and I feel confident in what he did for me was necessary to get it working. Of course one's A/C goes out when the weather starts getting hot. Called my go-to realtor for a suggestion and he recommended LJ Refrigeration. I called before their office opened and left a message figuring it would be a long shot that anyone would call me back. However, I received a call from their very pleasant scheduler and she said she would work me into their busy schedule but it more than likely would be later in the afternoon that anyone could get to me. And then she said she would completely understand if I found someone that could come earlier. Who says that! Won me over right there. Jason arrived around 5:15 and went to work diagnosing what the problem was. Didn't take him long even though he had to crawl into the attic to see what was going on. Found the issue which presented another issue. Didn't have the part as it comes in different sizes. Problem solved when his partner said he had the part at the shop. Jason then drove to pick up the part and returned to replace the failed part as he knew we were roasting!! A/C went out yesterday and got their number from the realtor who sold the home. Called at 5am and got the answering service. Spoke with them and they said that they would have someone call around 8am when the office opened. Received a call at 8:06 and let them know the issue and that the house temperature had gone up to 94°. They said they were booked for the day but they'd try to get someone out around noon if possible. Received a call from Jason at 11:40 that he would be at the house in 10 minutes. Found the problem right away, explained and showed what the issue was and got the A/C back working within 30 minutes.
