Of course one's A/C goes out when the weather starts getting hot. Called my go-to realtor for a suggestion and he recommended LJ Refrigeration. I called before their office opened and left a message figuring it would be a long shot that anyone would call me back. However, I received a call from their very pleasant scheduler and she said she would work me into their busy schedule but it more than likely would be later in the afternoon that anyone could get to me. And then she said she would completely understand if I found someone that could come earlier. Who says that! Won me over right there. Jason arrived around 5:15 and went to work diagnosing what the problem was. Didn't take him long even though he had to crawl into the attic to see what was going on. Found the issue which presented another issue. Didn't have the part as it comes in different sizes. Problem solved when his partner said he had the part at the shop. Jason then drove to pick up the part and returned to replace the failed part as he knew we were roasting!! Jason was knowledgeable, quick in changing out the failed parts and extremely polite along the way. Again, who does that these days! We're so thankful for LJ Refrigeration!! read more

I recently had a frustrating experience with a different AC company that quoted me a ridiculous amount for two new units. Feeling disheartened, I decided to seek a second opinion and reached out to LJ Refrigeration. I am so grateful that I did. They came out promptly and were able to identify and fix the issue quickly, saving me a ton of money in potential repairs. The technician from LJ Refrigeration was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to thoroughly explain the issue to me and was able to fix it efficiently. I was impressed by their level of expertise and how they were able to solve the problem that the other company had missed. Not only did they provide top-notch service, but their prices were also very competitive and beat out the competition. I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable their services were, especially considering the quality of work they provided. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the service I received from LJ Refrigeration. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of AC services. Thank you for your excellent work and prompt response! read more

I have used L J Refrigeration for almost 20 Years because of one incident when they were very kind. My air conditioner went out in the summer. They came and looked at it and knew that I needed to replace my unit as it was 19 years old . They installed a motor and made it work and said they would leave it here until I decided who I would have install a new unit. I asked what they were going to do with their motor and they said if you don't use us, we will come back and get our motor after your new one is installed and working. I thought that it was a very kind gesture and I said I'm not going to use anyone else and to please get me a new unit. They did and I have had it for over 12 years and I use their service yearly for check ups. I continue to be grateful for the kindness they provided when I was very very uncomfortable and have never forgotten It. Character and reliability goes a long way. They are family owned. Send out very nice family members. I will always use them !! read more

I can't say enough good things about LJ Refrigeration. If you're looking for an honest, reliable HVAC and air conditioning company in Phoenix or Scottsdale, these are the people to call. From start to finish, the service was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and dependable. A special shout-out to Jason! He is an absolutely amazing guy! His knowledge, professionalism, honesty, and attention to detail are second to none. It's rare these days to find someone you feel you can genuinely trust working on your home, and Jason is one of those people. He genuinely cares about people and takes pride in the job he does. That kind of dedication and character is hard to find these days. I would recommend LJ Refrigeration to anyone needing AC repair, HVAC service, maintenance, or heating and cooling work in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. Five stars all the way. We were referred to L&J in March of 2022 when a well known valley Refrigeration Co. we'd been with for over 13 years said it was time for a new unit at the spring check up visit. We didn't think we needed a new one. We had another company give us an estimate, which was less than our current company. Lastly we called L & J who our son in law likes. Paul came and said he was going to treat our unit like he was just coming for the annual maintenance. When he was done he said, Yes your unit is 12 yrs old but it is fine and does not need replacing. I promptly fired the old company and Paul has been coming twice a year for fall & spring maintenance and that unit is working just fine. The staff is professional, friendly, on time and MOST importantly Trustworthy! When we hear from Paul it's r time for a new one or it quits I think you know who I'm gonna call. read more

I've been using LJ Refrigeration Company for the past 6 years, and I can confidently say they've consistently exceeded my expectations. I was originally referred to them by a friend, and I'm so glad I took their recommendation. From day one, their team has been professional, reliable, and incredibly knowledgeable. Whether it's routine maintenance or unexpected repairs, they always respond quickly and get the job done right the first time. Their technicians take the time to explain everything clearly, which I really appreciate. What stands out most is their honesty and fair pricing--something that can be hard to find. I've never felt pressured into unnecessary services, and they always look for the most efficient solution. After 6 years of great service, I highly recommended to anyone looking for dependable and trustworthy service! read more

I contacted LJ Refrigeration through their website and requested a service call. The company had fantastic turnaround and service. They had an opening on the same day during a heat wave in Phoenix. I was very happy they accommodated me during this busy season. The technician was on time and responsive to my needs. He asked me a few questions and immediately began to assess the issue with the air conditioner condenser. He informed me about the different freon types and the cost associated with repair and replacement. We also discussed various wireless thermometers and the technician educated me on these items also. I cannot thank LJ Refrigeration enough for their prompt, honest, and quality service. For all your heating and air conditioning needs, LJ Refrigeration will exceed your expectations. read more

LJ refrigeration has been my AC service provider for over ten happy years. They were first called when my two heat pumps stopped working. Three other technicians told me to replace my units. LJ instead diagnosed a failed defroster which was easily and inexpensively repaired. I got several more years out of each unit. LJ has since then replaced both units, inside and out, very professionally. Both installations were completed in less than one day each time as LJ had scheduled all necessary service (including cranes) so that the schedules ran efficiently. By deferring replacement until actually required, LJ has saved me thousands. They provide courteous annual service. Family run, LJ is honest and reliable. It is truly a pleasure to recommend LJ Refrigeration. read more

Been in Arizona 42 years. Honestly don't remember when we started doing business with LJ Refrigeration but we've been in our current home for 22 years and it's been at least that long. Being in the sales and service industry myself, it is so refreshing to find a company that you can trust and count on to be there when you need them. Paul, Jeff, Jenn and the rest of the team are beyond caring and responsive. Living is the desert, when you need AC service it's usually not a matter of choice but a matter of need. They always manage to schedule you promptly and more often than not show up before scheduled time. I would recommend LJ for all your heating or cooling needs (let's face it...more often cooling) without hesitation! Great company...great people! read more

When we came back from our home in northern AZ, the temp on the west side of our primary residence was 92 degrees! I immediately called our HVAC company, LJ Refrigeration, and they did not hesitate in setting up an emergency service call for about 5 hours later. jason came out and discovered it was a blown fuse, and he fixed the unit. The fact that they took the time to make sure we had cooling when it was over 110 here in scottsdale was truly amazing. Jason could very easily said it was a much more expensive repair, but he did not. The company's integrity is one of the main reasons we have been using them for many years and will continue to do so. Highly recommend your giving them your business if you are in need of HVAC service. read more

LJ Refrigeration has serviced my Air Conditioning Systems for the past 28 years. As you would expect I said systems. I replaced the original system with new from LJ. There price was very fair. There workmanship superior. I have my System serviced twice a year to prepare for the season, be it heating or cooling. Twenty eight years with only one failure due to a system component.(Summertime of course) called for service, they responded same day and resolved the problem. Their offers for system checkups are fair and I'm sure this attentiveness to Preventive Maintenance has kept me a happy Customer. Do I RECOMMEND LJ. YES I DO. THEY ARE FAIR. THEY ARE PROMPT AND PROFESSIONAL, WORKMANSHIP SUPERIOR, AND VERY NICE PEOPLE. Richard Godek read more

Too many HVAC companies lean into scamming you. That HORRIBLE capacitor issue? It's like replacing a battery -- DIY $50 and 20 minutes, not the $400-800 many charge. LJ does great work. BUT it also does honest work. Couple of days ago, one of our systems shut down in one room. It happened before. And again LJ showed up and fixed, charging just for the visit. The issue is an install issue created by [BIGGEST NAME IN SCOTTSDALE HVAC] two years ago. LJ said at some point we should call them to fix, as it should be under warranty... but not mention LJ did a temporary fix because [BIGGEST NAME IN SCOTTSDALE HVAC] is notorious for fudging on warranties. You will not be disappointed with LJ. Good folks with great work. read more

I couldn't be more impressed with the service I received from LJ's Refrigeration. From the moment I contacted them, the professionalism and integrity of the entire team stood out. Paul, in particular, was knowledgeable, courteous, and refreshingly honest. He took the time to explain the issue clearly, offered practical solutions without any pressure, and followed through with efficient, high-quality work. No upselling, no gimmicks, just honest advice and excellent service. Everything was done on time, at a fair price, and to a very high standard. If you're looking for reliable refrigeration services from people who truly know what they're doing and treat you with respect, LJ's is the one to call. read more

L j refrigeration was recommended to me by one of my neighbors. I must say from the first phone call speaking to Jennifer I felt very comfortable and at ease knowing that my problem was in good hands! My technician arrived half hour early a sight for sore eyes after having 100° day I was looking forward to getting my AC repaired as soon as possible! My technician was a young fellow, but very respectful and knowledgeable answered all my questions and just an all around nice guy. Very, happy with the Service I received as a first time customer I would definitely recommend Lj refrigeration to my neighbors and family. Thank you again look forward to doing business with you in the future! read more

This was my first experience with LJ. My initial contact (website, then phone) was with Lauren(sp?). She was personable and professional and rapidly understood my situation. A service appointment was immediately scheduled. When Jason (technician) arrived, he assessed the situation and quickly found and fixed the problem. Jason was excellent in explaining what had happened and how he solved the issue. This all took place on a very HOT day in the Valley of the Sun. It was very positive to have my AC functioning again! Thanks, Lauren, Jason, and LJ; you are now my "go-to" AC company read more

Very appreciative of Paul and his young associate! Last night, our a/c wasn't getting power. Of course, we're experiencing an excessive heat warning and the house heated up quickly. Kelly returned an emergency night time call promptly, added us to the next day's trips and told us that we would get a call if the technicians could make it out before the scheduled afternoon window. Bright and early, Paul calls to tell me that they will be there within 30 minutes. :-) Half an hour after their arrival, we're back in business! Thanks so much for your promptness, professionalism and expertise! read more

You're all set! Just copy and paste this into your Yelp review for LJ Refrigeration: 5 stars! Had my yearly AC maintenance done by LJ Refrigeration and I'm really happy with the service. Paul, the technician, was professional and thorough. I mentioned that my front room wasn't cooling well, and he took the time to check the vents. He made some adjustments, and the difference was immediate--so much better now! Really appreciated the extra effort. Highly recommend LJ Refrigeration and a big thanks to Paul! We have used LJ Refrigeration since 2009 at two different houses and have always been very pleased with them. They saved us $2,000 once by pointing out that our home warranty covered a coil replacement--a service they could have done themselves. They are always here when we need them. The quality of their work is perfect and they always leave things in great shape. I have called them at off hours and weekends and have always been able to reach them. They respond to voice mails and emails. They have become more like family to us. I highly recommend them! read more
