On the recommendation of my contractor, I hired Comfort One Air Conditioning to replace the ductwork during a recent home remodel. Taps was incredibly responsive especially in times of confusion (i.e., realizing at the last minute I needed to hire someone to connect my range hood for proper venting) with work that was certainly beyond his scope. All this is well and good but you can tell a lot about a company after the bills are paid and the work is complete. Last Friday I discovered my thermostat was not working. Taps returned my call immediately and was prepared to adjust his Friday/Saturday plans to come to my house and see what was going on. With the outside temperatures more than pleasant I told him this was not a rush and could wait until Monday. Juha showed up this morning to see what was going on. He determined it was some old wiring which that had gone bad and fixed it immediately. Their prices are more than reasonable. Most importantly, they are responsive and someone I have come to trust. You can't put a price tag on this kind of attitude and work ethic in a time where many people just want to get the work done with little regard to the overall quality. read more

Our accumulator was leaking on our system. I got 5 quotes from Parker & Sons, Howard, Integrity, someone i forgot the name of and Comfort One. Overall Comfort One and Howard Air were the only ones who recommended opening the roof and getting rid of our twisted elbow connection. Howard was $1.5-4k more but used Trane (XR-14C, XL16C) instead of Coleman. Parker & Sons was overpriced and tried selling me on some lifetime warranty Bosch DC system for $20k. Integrity was pretty good but wanted to charge extra ($700) for their 10 year York extended labor warranty. Comfort One's warranty is 10 year parts, compressor, and labor by default. They always answered their phone, Taps was able to come out the same day I called, they were on schedule, came with a full team, worked hard and even came back to upgrade our return the next day to increase our air flow. Overall Taps and his team were one of the best contractors we've done business with. He was the last contractor i called just to double check my knowledge and decision to upgrade our roof-AC setup. We did not expect to go through them but ended up feeling they were our best option. He gained our trust! read more

Taps, Jessica and crew are fantastic! We started using Comfort One about 4 years ago after being referred to them by a friend. They now handle the biannual maintenance on all units at our home and rental properties. We needed 3 new units to replace very old ones at our rental. I got bids from 2 other companies for this job. Twenty or more years ago, I wouldn't have been amazed by excellent customer service, but in this day and age, I am more than pleasantly surprised. Very nice and professional people that work at this business. Responsive, same day, to email, text, voicemail, or in person or telephone questions. (We didn't have many questions, but, you know...) Just an all around pleasure to work with. They also coordinated with the other contractors (new roof) to make sure everything was completed in a timely manner (1 day! I didn't have to spend anytime away from my home.) Oh yeah, and the HVAC they installed works just great also! I have used Taps, the owner, for over five years for all my HVAC needs. I followed him from his previous company once he started his own business. I live in an older home with a goofy system that had vexed the other AC techs that tried to work on it -- but not Taps. He is the most "get it done" contractor I've ever worked with. He always does everything he can to keep costs down without ever sacrificing quality. Taps gets to us so quickly, even during the hottest times when things are busiest, and has what he needs on his truck to gets things fixed then and there. He is extremely proactive with communication and he shows up when he says he will. He is professional but friendly and never makes you feel bad, even when you have six inches of dog fur all over your coils. I highly recommend Comfort One and Taps. They installed new AC unit for me. It is a small business owned by Taps, who does everything from repairs, to quotes to installation himself (assisted by one assistant). So you just deal with same person throughout the process. It was much easier to work with him as a result, compared to one of the highly rated "small" business for AC installation in yelp. The other large company charged me $75 just to come over and tell me that they would need to do a much more expensive testing to find source of leaks! Tap's quote for new system also significantly lower than the other business. They did quality work, and also came by to do a free inspection of the heater before it was needed for the winter. read more

Was very impressed with this company and would highly recommend!! My A/C unit was running constantly and blowing warm air at times. Turns out it is just an old unit... but still functioning up to par and doing the best it can in this insane heat! I was advised I may need a new unit in the next few years but there was no pressure or sales pitch to purchase one now which I really appreciated.
