I spoke with him for a few to let him know I still had to purchase a few additional items before anything was ready to be installed. He gave me what seemed to be a reasonable price quote and I told him I would get back with him when I was ready to go ahead with installation. I had received a couple more calls for service, as expected, and their price quote was a little above what Joe gave me. The other contractor was quoting me a fee PLUS transportation to the job which I thought was unrealistic. I reviewed him and the biz separately -i wouldn't choose to do business with him because of the way he came across in our conversation. So, more than a month had passed since the initial purchase and finally today the job is done. I called Copper Point Electric, LLC on Friday and we scheduled installation for the following week. Now our original conversation he explained there would be an additional fee for installing on such high ceilings. Said he needed to rent scaffolding. Our more recent conversation he told me he was going to use a ladder. And the newer quote was $100 more. Well Poo! Whatever. It works. Just not thrilled with an added fee for something. He did have to get that big aߧ ladder though. And from the pics you can see that thing dwarfs the man. He did throw in a piece to complete the install of the first ceiling fan. I believe it was a junction box. The older model was maybe a half inch too small. I was thankful for that cuz I would've been out the door to nearby hardware store to pick up the needed, larger part. He told me his cost and said he'd just throw it in. Maybe it was a part I could've picked up for under $20. The point is, it wasn't there and it needed to be. Glad I did all the measuring, comparisons, and even a few exchanges of the original purchased items. Largest fan is hanging 2' lower and the color, style and large size really looks more fitting in the room. Second fan is on a downrod thats 1' shorter than previous fan. It looks more streamlined and blends nicely with the wood cabinets as well as the other lighting fixtures. Last fan installed is flush mounted, providing better clearance below. I was given helpful tips for using the remotes and it was pointed out to me where the switch is located to change from warm to cold season. The packaging was nicely consolidated. I told him I would take care of the rest. He had asked for my broom and dustpan so they could clean up the mess but I told him I would tackle that. The ceiling fans that were removed were put out of the way. I told him I plan to give them to one of the companies that resells this kind of thing. My hopes of repurposing in an effort to reduce what's just dumped in the trash. Overall, I'm satisfied with the work done and the gentleman that did the work.

During the time in our old house, we had many repairs and upgrades that were needed, for anything electrical we called Carey at AC Desert Electric. We purchased a new to us home in Nov/Dec 2021 and it had needed some heavy and at times complex renovation work. the electrical is especially tricky. There were multiple add-ons, a CCTV security system (removed prior to close) that was not professionally wired, dead outlets, an old leak in the roof above the kitchen not discovered until we switched out the light fixture, an above ground ground pool that was removed long ago but the electric wiring and routing were not properly addressed. the riser on the side of the house was a hot mess with horrible labeling, loose connections and old/broken/missing fuses. We called Carey and we pretty much had a 'honey-do' list every month for the first six months we were in the house. When we added AC to the shop and needed to upgrade the power to the house a year after moving in, we called Carey. It was a significant project that required permits and lots of moving parts, but his team handled it perfectly. When we started building a bathroom in the house last December, the first person we called was Carey to make sure that he can make room in his schedule for us. We have an elderly family member moving in, and Carey and his team were able to work us in the following week. our bathroom is almost ready for final inspection. I know that if we have any electrical issue with this house big or small, that we can call Carey at AC Desert Electric and they have what it takes to resolve the issue.
