Watch out!!!! We went to cancel their service as their system failed to work on my door connecting from the garage and cannot reach my casita. They have tried for more than 18 months to get it to work. When I went to cancel it, they billed me more than $2500! They said our agreement AUTORENEWS for a 60 month contract and I owe into 2026!!! SCAM!!! DO NOT USE!!! UPDATE: the manager called and reviewed our account and made adjustments. So he took care of the issue. read more

I contacted Titan for a proposal, and it took several calls over an extended period (5-7 days?) to get a sales person to call me back. I ultimately connected with a representative named Tyler. He appeared at our house for an onsite walk-through shortly thereafter, and seemed both pleasant and thorough. I then had to contact him multiple times to get a written proposal, and the proposal he ultimately sent did not conform to our request. When contacted about the error on March 28, Tyler apologized for the confusion and agreed to send a corrected proposal. That's the last we heard from him; we've received nothing further. I've often said that no company treats a consumer better than when they're trying to sell them something. Based on our experience, I cannot imagine what it would be like to be a Titan customer locked into a long term contract. This might well be a great company that has grown too quickly and is organizationally jammed up. No matter the reason, they are definitely off of my list. read more

Make sure you read the contract very, very carefully and especially the nifty little auto re-enroll clause that is buried in their contract that says every 3 years you or they have 30 days to cancel the contract or you WILL be re-enrolled and responsible for another 3 years. We are moving, and they will not let you out of the contract, even though we will not be using their alarm services at the new property. They have one person to handle all of their cancellations, and there are only two ways out of the contract. Transfer you system to the new property, or the new owners taking over the system. No other options at all. There have been numerous issues with their equipment. We have had to have their service department out numerous times to fix a reoccurring problem with the system. They continually raise the monthly rate without any additional services being added. After this horrible experience we will just have to pay out the remainder of a 3 year contract and call this a very horrible painful expensive experience. read more

Watch out for the contract! Read it carefully. Especially, the term length, price increases and termination process. Was like pulling teeth to get a disconnect and even if it was handled perfectly, they will still pull an extra 30+ days of billing. After five years, you'd think you'd get treated better. I would not recommend using them as there are a great many other alarm companies that can professionally install a functional alarm system and not tie you into long term, cumbersome contract designed for their benefit only. Also, depending on your alternative alarm company, the monitoring is also done by the same entity that monitors for most of the other alarm companies in Arizona. The REAL VALUE comes from doing business with, professional, friendly and ETHICAL businesses. Not companies who use the contract to squeeze every dime they can, warranted or not. On a positive note, I will credit the office staff for being friendly on the phone. This company is a scam! After getting our system installed malfunctions started immediately and have never stopped. They want to charge astronomical rates to come fix their product that has never worked. We finally had to switch companies as getting alerts all hours of the night and day was not working for us. Now we get to send them a large check to disconnect our services for a system they installed that never worked. Extremely disappointing. DO NOT USE them! This company is the definition of security. I've used Titan for the past 4 1/2 years and have nothing but great things to say about them. If something is out of place, seems weird or missing, a simple review of our security system and cameras sorts it all out. They've accommodated all our needs as my business grew and even manage my security system at home. They're always available as cameras and sensors need adjustments over time; including continually helping me to keep my iphone and ipad connected as they experience apple updates. The state of the art system they've installed is reasonably priced and allows me to sleep soundly at night. If something goes bump near my bedroom window, I can grab my phone and see what it is without leaving bed. If I want to know when the last crew left my business, I check my email and can see when the alarm code was set. If I want to adjust the air conditioning at my house before I arrive, I simply open the app on my phone and make the change. They've assisted me in pulling footage to convict a peeping tom I had at my house, my whole neighborhood is grateful, as well as catch an employee steeling. Within my industry, we're known as one of the most secure companies to work with because of Titan. Within my neighborhood, my house is the one no one wants to mess with because of Titan. read more

When I was out of the country my alarms kept going off at my house. My neighbors called the police but found nothing wrong. This happened at lease 3 times the police were called. The police said they would not come to my house again. When I returned home and called Titan they sent a man out to look at the equipment. It was bad or old equipment and they fixed it. I told them that I cancelled my contract with them the first week in Sept. They then had the nerve to bill me again in October even though I cancelled. I refuse to pay for bad equipment. They just keep harassing me with constant bills and it even looks like the equipment is still on - even though I don't use it and never will again. I have written them and called them and it still goes on. They let me down when I was out of the country and now they want me to pay for their bad service and equipment. And the police will never come to my house again. Then they threatened to turn it over to collection so I sent them a monthly check plus late fee today. read more

I listened to a Ted Talk recently and the person speaking referred to themselves as a "Titan" of their industry. I thought that was somewhat presumptuous, less than humble in my mind-how dare they! :). I hear it's not bragging if it's true. Such is the case with Titan Alarm systems, these guys are definitely at the top of the Security totem pole. I had the alarm system installed in 2008 when my house was being built. The installation process was very clean and thorough. The tech was extremely polite and quick with his work. The salesman who contacted me onsite to discuss being my provider was very attentive and responsive to my needs. I had a three year agreement that took me through 2012 and at that time decided to drop the monitoring of the system to save a few bucks. The system is still operational and I would set it every night. Recently it developed a system warning beep that said it was caused by a low battery. I ordered a replacement battery for it on-line and it didn't solve the problem. Since it was only a mild irritation, I was content to let it go. My contentment failed earlier this week and I decided to bite the bullet and call Titan for service. I sent them a note off their nice website and received a very quick, very polite response offering to set up a service call. I called back and talked to Ebonee who was fantastic and set up a service call for Friday morning. Shortly after I talked to her, Nick the Service Manager called and said he may be able to talk me through a fix and save a service charge. What?! Sign me up! He called this morning on his way into the office and helped me trouble shoot the system and within 10 minutes we had a pair of $1.49 AA batteries into a motion sensor and I had a system completely functional. No more annoy beeps! Titan is the Nordstrom's of the security industry, their service is absolutely top of the line. Well done! read more

I had Titan for a few years, only because I was under contract. The equipment fails constantly, which resulted in my home being burglarized and completely undetected by Titan while the alarm was armed. I was made promises of new equipment, that Titan ultimately never honored, and the customer service is horrible, absolutely terrible! Recently, I received a notice from a collection agency stating I owe Titan $2100. Long story short, the credit card used for my auto pay was compromised. Titan sent me an invoice on June 1st 2023 stating my account was past due by $184.20 and provided a link to update your payment informed. I clicked the link which gave me an error message, so I emailed Titan back and asked how to proceed. I never heard back. I should have followed up and that us 100% my fault. However, in my defense, we had 2 deaths in the immediate family within the past few months so I had other things on my mind at the time. I never received another email, no phone calls, nothing, then I am hit with this $2100 bill from the collection agency. I emailed Titan asking for aa explanation, to which I received no reply. I called them to be told that, "yep, you are with collections, we dont handle your account anymore". I asked for an explanation of the $2100 and she said, " I told you we don't handle it anymore and I am off the clock" and hung up. I am so frustrated. So save yourself the frustration and aggravation and go with another company! read more

This is ridiculous we have had titan alarm over 10 years we were very pleased and decided to upgrade our system...more money of course the tech was late 2 hrs did not come with equipment to do new panel. Was at our house for 6 hrs unable to complete the job because glass break which he could not install because it had malfunctioned...now we must reschedule for another appt..the tech suggested we put the security panel on top of refrigerator..as a picture frame why to save him time instead of wall panel..very very unhappy hopefully it will work like it should right now ready to have them uninstall the whole new upgraded system. read more

The problem was Sales/Sales Manager (Tyler/Tim), job quotes that took weeks to receive, lacked detail, extra quoted items not requested, poor or lack of scheduling, poor communication management, etc. Will look for another contractor or send a crew in from out-of-state before resorting to work with them again. read more

Horrible company. This system they installed in my house took over 18 hours over a 5-day period. Every person they sent out immediately called their technical support department every time they came in to work on the installation. They installed a substandard cellular phone device that would make 4 very loud beeps every minute every time that it tried to call out and couldn't reach the network. This happened every few months and the only way to stop it was to come home and hit "okay" on the master unit. Sometimes this would go on for over 4 or 5 hours and I have 2 small dogs in the house. Every call to them for over 2 1/2 years they told me that there was no way to turn off this feature. One time someone asked me why did it matter if I wasn't home anyway? Seriously? I found out when I called to cancel 2 weeks ago that there was a way to turn this annoyance off. They promised to contact me and send me out a new cellular phone card. 5 days later, when I hadn't heard anything yet again, I called to cancel for good. I paid up my unpaid 3 months balance and said good riddance. Today I get a bill in the mail for $102.00. They are trying to charge me a $95.50 "settlement fee" and $6.50 for shipping on a part that I never received. This is a Friday night, of course, and you can't get a hold of them over the weekend so I will be going nuclear on them Monday morning. I have never felt safer since I CANCELLED this service from this horrible company. read more

We have had Titan Alarm about 6 months. They have been great. The install went very smooth, the tech showed us how to use every thing about the alarm. The few times our alarm has gone off, the crazy loud voice comes over, they have been really nice. Even when the house sitter set the alarm off. The cost for the alarm is very reasonable. And the cost for our install was better than anyone else could do. They gave us all the door sensors we needed and it didn't cost extra. Knowing I can do everything with my alarm from my phone is fantastic. It even notifies me when I forget to set it. read more

Six months ago, I had a Titan security system installed in my home. I couldn't be happier. The system is top-notch and I can turn it on and off from my phone. I am having them install another system at my office. Courteous, professional, and up front about contracts, what agreement I'm signing and what is to be expected. Equipment is easy to use. So I called yesterday at about 4:45 because I am having issues adding my cameras back to my network. The lady that answered did not know how to help me even though I hit the numbers for technical support. She took my number and said someone would call me back even though I called 15 minutes prior to closing......so I waited .....and waited and it is now 27 hours later and know one has called me!! I have had nothing but problems with these cameras, I get like 10 notifications or more when my wife leaves out of the driveway in the morning they charge me $80 for a service call for someone to come fix the problem which it never got fix and I just deal with it, but I have to up my monthly fee so I get more recording because the cameras were going off so much I would get to 1000 clips before the month was over so no I have to pay for the 6000 clips a month. I am in a contract until Sept 2020 so I am stuck with this company or I have to pay to terminate. So safe to say when my contract is up I am done with this company!!! WHEN YOU SAY YOU ARE GOING TO CALL SOMEONE BACK THEN DO IT!!! I wouldn't have even cared if they called my back today!!! After speaking with the owner and also with customer service support I have my issues resolved. Thanks to Mike and his team for everything they did to help resolve my issues. I had quotes from several security camera installation companies and decided on Titan Alarm based upon the type of cameras, the recording system, and the points of installation. I made the right decision. The installation employees , Sal and his partner arrived on time ready to work. They installed the four cameras, the Ethernet cables, the NVR, and setup my cellphone, iPad, and MacPro on the wireless network. I would highly recommend Titan Alarm for your security needs. After a year I received a phone call from Brinks that we are not paying our monthly bills. I had no idea that our account was transferred to Brinks without informing us. Please stay away from this company. They botched the first installation totally. Spent an entire day redoing the work that was supposed to be done in the first day. The salesman (Paul) promised me everything. Said don't worry about wires being nailed up. That was standard procedure. Didn't need to be put in contract. Turns out he washed his hands of any responsibility. The company withdrew the entire $2,400.00 before any work was done. They were supposed to take half when contract was signed. And half when job was completed. I have spent over an extra month trying to get my contract returned to me with the correct date on it. No one cares and if call the phone number. You can spend up to 20 minutes waiting to even talk to someone. Sad way to do business. read more

I wish I had read the reviews before I signed up for Titan. I was looking for something different from ADT and figured why not go local. And then I was consistently reminded why I'm often reluctant to go local. Sales guy was pretty sales oriented, which is his job, I get that. But after I signed the contract, he became very difficult to get responses from and I had to call the office for help (which is a whole other thing. They are super nice in the office, but if you go with them, hopefully you never need help with anything on the weekend or after 5 pm during the week). When the install tech came he was great. Super patient with hooking everything up. He even answered my questions about different options for cameras and told me options that were a better fit for us at a lower price. Another ding against the sales person that assured us he would design a package that would be cost efficient and still accomplish my security goals. Flash forward a couple months, we had to get a sliding door replaced and had one installed in other room. These were not the fault of Titan at all, but it did result in me needing to call for help and to get a new sensor installed. Since day 1, the existing door sensor would randomly register as the door being opened, which led to super fun nights with the alarm going off in the middle of the night because of the false reading. So a tech came out and "fixed" the existing sensor and installed a new one on the new door. The tech also reset the doorbell and told me mom that it is very easy for it to be hooked back up to the wifi via the app instead of just helping her do it (it wasn't easy to do). The tech had to come out a second time because the one he fixed was not actually fixed. I am equally upset about how much this service visit cost and the fact that no one had mentioned a cost (naive of me to assume it'd be included, but someone could have given me a heads up). I became aware of the cost when I got a bill for $150. This included a $25 trip fee (seriously?), $85 service labor fee, and $35 for the sensor. I appreciate the attempts to remedy problems that have been made, but the issues are largely stacked against those efforts. Their business hours are not a good fit for me because they are only available during my working hours. I've been given mixed info when I call in for support. I didn't think that dealing with a security company should be such a headache and am considering just canceling the whole thing at this point. If you go with them, be thorough with your research and ask a lot of questions. read more

The worst service I ever had in my home. They started off by lying about the contract length, they told me since I was buying through Direct Buy that the standard 5 year contract would be 3 years for me. The system has never worked properly for more than a few months. The video didn't work for several months. Then my door lock stopped working. They said it was batteries but I changed it out with 2 brand new sets. I don't even know why they have a tech support system, I have called multiple times about the two smoke detectors that don't work. They haven't worked in over a year I have just gotten tired of calling in, for them to tell me it works and within days it doesn't work again. I've asked them multiple time to cancel my contract since they can't uphold their half of the agreement which is actually monitoring my house since the system doesn't work to begin with. Somehow, through pure fucking magic my alarm password was changed, not the 4 digit code, the verbal password you have to give to cancel an alarm. How does that happen? There was also a few week stretch where the alarm would go off because we opened the back door and no one would come over the alarm system to make sure we needed to cancel the alarm. We had ADT before and never had issues. By the way, Direct Buy dropped them pretty quick and being a member I know the only way that happens is if the Direct Buy branch gets complaints about a vendor, go figure. If I could afford to pay their cancellation fee I'd have this garbage taken out immediately. Next time I'll go back to securing my home the old fashion way, with a shotgun. read more

The system never worked properly since it was installed and I was told by the tech that camera that comes with the package is junk and you have pay for a better camera to have video. So I had an alarm with Titan installed 3 years and 5 months ago. Several times we had an alarm and they never came across the wireless voice. Additionally, I just called to cancel only to find out that if you don't cancel BEFORE the end of the 36 month contract your contract renews automatically for ONE YEAR! WHAT?!?!?! Are you kidding me? I'm sure that was never pointed out EVER and what kind of contract requires notice or auto renewal for 1 YEAR! I met my obligation. I believe that this company is worth a look for your security needs and I would inquire with them for any future needs that I may have. I moved over a year ago from the home I had a Titan system installed in, have called twice and asked if could get out of the contract or at least negotiate something and they do not bend and are even very rude about it! They will hold you to the "agreement" as they call it until you have paid every dime. Make sure this is something you really want, are going to actually use it, and are willing to be locked in until the complete end of the contract terms, 3 years in my case. Even though they told me that I had equipment they failed to provide, I continued to have faith that we would work this out. I paid my bill and they were supposed to come out and fix my alarm system to use cellular service (since I do not have a home phone any longer). They failed to schedule a appointment, failed to fix my alarm system and apparently failed to provide the service I was paying them for. In all cases they failed. read more
