But this place needs a good thorough cleaning from top to bottom, before I will return again. I think I saw my pedicurist take her instrument packet from the sanitizer, and start with a new packet. However, the whole place is unkempt: stray hairs stuck to the base of the pedi chairs, stains of unknown origin on some of the plastic, the chairs not wiped off, the motor in the pedi chair not able to get past a labored, wheezy massage (I turned it off). When I sat at the drying table, there was a coating of some kind of powder or dust on the top. Don't know if the Health Department inspects nail salons, but the sanitary conditions at this one definitely need a lot of improvement.

My favorite place in town to get my nails done!…read more Not only does this place reside 5 minutes away from my work but it has my favorite person to do my nails:) Gwen is where it's at! She always takes great care of me and gets my nail shape the way I like it every time. She always puts up with my Pinterest nail ideas and impresses me every time I leave her chair. She's the best! This salon is located in the heart of Zeeland and you won't miss it because they always make it look so nice all year round. The flowers in the summer are my favorite. When you walk in there is almost always someone that greets you! During Covid times they had everyone check in to their iPad but more recently we are just sent to wash our hands. That's a great practice for germs! I love it. They have a good selection of books showing dip powders and shellac polishes right by the sink and usually you're seated to get your nails done very quickly - if you make an appointment. But they do have plenty of seats in case you need to wait. There's lots of nice massage chairs for pedicures and they do have a public restroom if you need it. Check this place out :)

Tiger, the nail tech, was quick and informative. He completely removed the old nail dip and color and the proceeded to give me a French dip just like the picture I showed him. He also explained to me what a healthy nail manicure should look like. The other salon had hurt my nail bed and skin. I'm new to manicures so I wasn't sure what to experience. Tiger taught me and was compassionate about my experience. I left happy with my nails and feeling confident to self advocate in the future with what I'd learned. And my nails looked just like the picture. Very pleased and would recommend. Also, the atmosphere was very soothing to my nervous system. I can be anxious and the music and vibe was really relaxing. It's the kind of relaxing experience I'm looking for. I'm a stay at home mom and want to treat myself and recover from the hustle and bustle. It's very calm and soothing.

What I asked for was "extension nails with gel polish," and that's exactly what I got the first time, and it turned out really beautiful. However, my second visit was very disappointing. I asked for the same thing again: "extension nails with gel polish," but what I received instead was acrylic nails. I tried to explain that this was not what I asked for and that I only wanted nail extensions with polish, the same as what the male technician did for me the first time. But the owner responded, "You don't know about nails things," and the woman who did my nails also insisted that she did the same thing as the male technician. But that is not true, because the first time there was no powder used at all. IT IS NOT WORTH FOR $71!! This was a very bad experience, and the nails I got look really bad and the details are not done well also the color and shape. I've had my nails done many times before, and this is the first time I've ever received such ugly nails. I have an important event coming up and I have to go there with us ugly nails. I will definitely not be going back there again.

I had white tips but I was hoping to pay extra to go over the white tips with color, NOPE Helen said that wasn't possible I'd have to get a whole new set. I tried to explain to her my nails are thin and I'd pay extra if I don't have to put on new tips(still nope!) She also kept insisting I get shellac polish instead of the color acrylic I wanted. The guy that does my nails wasn't there yet so before he showed up she began cutting my acrylic nails with fingernail clippers and ripping them off. By the look on my face she knew it was hurting me but proceeds to tell me "see that didn't hurt at all"! Last time I got my nails done I chose 5 different blue acrylic powders from the wall to have on my nails. This time she said I can't use any of the powders on the wall, I could only choose from 5 neon colors. I ended up getting a new full set but my finger nails are hurting from her ripping my old set off. I will not be returning here. I've never had a problem any other time. Maybe she was having a bad day but not my fault. I will pay extra else where just to be treated with respect! Nobody wants to pay money to be treated poorly.
