One of the newest HEB locations in this area and it is super nice! This is my neighborhood grocery store and I am so lucky because they have every thing you could every need and all at great prices. What isn't in this HEB? Cars? Planes? Seriously if you can't find it here you probably don't need it. I get lunch now and again from the deli up front and it's always really good and at a great price. That said, I work within a really reasonable distance from here (less than 2 miles) and it typically takes me about 25 minutes to go there, grab lunch and get back. Granted I know I'm fighting 281, sometimes the service is a bit slow, not enough to deter me from shopping there but it's noticeable. In general though, as a grocery store, the layout is great, good deals, easy to navigate. read more

The Whitening Lounge is a waste. First off all, you have to do all of the work. The technician hands you the mouth guard, whitening gel, gauze and "tells" you what to do. I don't know, I had a different expectation of service. Second, you have to do the procedure (insert guard, apply gel, and hold a small hand mirror). Third, there is an entire syringe of whitening gel that is offered to you, but they throw away what you do not use. I asked why I didn't get to keep it as a part of my paid service, but the technician said, we just throw it away. I asked if they reuse and she said no (I am nervous now, but I did see it go into the trash can). Finally, the lights are pretty bright in the lounge, so when I got into natural light the results were not that great.My teeth are already pretty white, and my son's teeth looked slightly whiter on the top teeth, but not on the bottom. The technician assured me that our "teeth will continue to get whiter over the next 3 days"--I am somehow not feeling optimistic. My 16 year old son got pretty poor results so far. I am not convinced that he applied enough of the whitening gel to both the upper and lower teeth. I did call to ask if he could repeat the procedure, but the technician (Kaitlyn) said "No, I watched him put it on and I think he put enough on". Think very seriously before using this service. Beautiful store. Shitty service. I can usually handle poor service well because I don't have to go out of my way for anything but this irritated me to no end. It was my daughters 5th birthday and I needed candles and a lighter. We were in the self check out lane when we needed to be I.D for the lighters. I didn't bring my wallet in since my husband was paying but the lady said that she needed to see my ID because I scanned the product. I walked alllllll the way to the damn car then alllll the way back just to find out she let my husband go through with the transaction. Seriously. Then the manager was right there when I got back so I tried explaining my frustration to him about how inconvenient that was and all he said was "ok?" Ugh at least apologize for your employees! And the girl said she thought it was alcohol we were buying....even if it was alcohol, if you need to ID us for a product then properly ID. Don't just approve the transaction after you realizing how dumb you sounded. Seriously annoyed with the way they handled that. read more

This is for the curbside service- I dislike that there is no option to edit your order once it's placed and that there are not any options for same day pickup. I've used curbside at another retailer that offered both of those options and it's a lot more convenient. Also several of my items were no longer in stock by the time my order was being prepared, why do they wait until right before your scheduled time to pull items? If my items had been pulled in the morning they wouldn't have run out of stock. I pay a premium for curbside but yet I'm then not getting the items I ordered. I had to go to another HEB and make an in store purchase due to this. Also items were not listed on the website as frozen, they were listed as market raw shrimp but I received prepackaged frozen shrimp. I don't think the cost justifies the inconvenience and lack of quality of the products. Sadly this will likely be my last curbside order with HEB. read more

One of my favorite HEB stores. I enjoy the samples and especially the chef meals at the meat section. I wish I could take him home to cook those delicious meals. Possibly you could have take out meals of the meal of the day!!!! read more

I live this Heb. Do try curbside service. You place your order online and reserve a time slot to pick up your order conveniently at an outside stall. The curbside people come and load you up. Great for busy parents or handicap or anyone who hates the bustle of a busy grocery store. read more

I LOVE this HEB...except I'm not a huge fan of the girl who bagged my groceries yesterday. She is really pretty...false eyelashes that fan you as she blinks and all...but unfortunately she was either having a really bad day or her inside beauty doesn't match the outside. She complained loudly about another bagger who seemed to be working very hard and was very short with the cashier who was also very sweet. I must have chuckled when the cashier made a gentle suggestion to her to help with her obvious frustration. I then ended up with my raspberries in my steak and hamburger meat bag...Cheer up, girl!....oh, and fyi, fruit doesn't get bagged with raw meat. ;P read more

I live in L.A., CA but when I visit SA, I always come to HEB. This HEB Plus store is amazing. Fresh (and delicious!!!) sushi prepared on site and you're being given samples so you know what you're buying; a wide array of coffees, wines, bar necessities, jewelry and clothing in the store AND, a boutique with even more wonderful clothing, jewelry, handbags, shoes, accessories. Absolutely LOVE this place! The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is the unhappy cashier (Annette F.) that 'helped' us the morning I stopped by before catching my flight back home. She did not greet us, did not smile, did not thank us, and was a total sourpuss (one cannot bring their problems/issues to work when you work w/the public...no, no, no!!!). What a difference from Caleb B. who helped us the day before. He was cheerful, and when I decided not to purchase an impulse grab I'd made, we made small talk and joked. Upon completion of our transaction, he wished us a great day and sent us off smiling. Now THAT is how you keep customers coming back (and of course, with their wonderful selection of items and great prices). read more

I have always had a good experience at this HEB plus, but after today they will never have my business again. My sister and I came in to purchase a $10.00 waxing kit which she called and put on hold before we came to the store since we were on a time restraint. Before purchasing she opened the kit to make sure all components were there (just as you check eggs to make sure they are not cracked) and we continued to the check out. As we leave the store we are approached by two men who ask us to follow them back into the store where they lead us to a back room. They then ask us to put all "unpaid merchandise" on to the counter top. We both are confused and explain that everything we walked out with we paid for. The older gentleman that I'm assuming is head of loss prevention? I'm not sure because he never Identified himself, then told us that because we were not cooperating they will be calling the police. There was NO explanation on what exactly we did to make them believe we stole something. They then showed us a video of our backsides (after threatening with the police) opening the waxing box. At that point my sister opened the box (with out being asked) and emptied all the components on to the counter to show that there was no merchandise that was unpaid for in there. At that point everyone is very flustered and I'm sure embarsssed, the older gentleman explains that we were suspicious on camera. So instead of asking to open the box within the first 1 minute we are in the back room (which is the whole reason we were pulled into the back) after 5 minutes my sister then takes it upon her self to open the box and show them what is inside. Now no I don't understand HEB loss prevention protocol since nothing was explained to us. There was no apology after they were proven wrong. No "I'm sorry" or "we apologize for the inconvenience", only blame put on us for being what they would consider "suspicious". The older gentleman then asked the younger guy to escort us out the front doors, which the younger guy had enough sense to take us out the back doors, away from prying eyes, after wrongfully calling us theives. I appreciate our neighborhood HEB employees doing their job and making an effort to catch bad guys who steal, but this situation was incredibly rash and uncalled for. I really hope nothing was actually stolen while they spent 10 minutes trying to get us to admit to having "unpaid merchandise" . This is a situation that could have been solved in 30 seconds if they asked us to open the "so very suspicious" box. I'll go ahead and buy my groceries at another HEB. read more
