Love this HEB! My favorite time to come is in the early mornings during the weekday to beat the crowds. Shelves are always stocked and employees are so friendly and my two year old always ask for a "icker" (sticker) at the register he puts his little arm out with the hugest smile and the cashiers are always so happy to place a sticker on his hand. Unbelievable lol, Had a problem with the capsule machine and the service desk informed me they cant do anything since its a vendor thing but Connor at the service desk still made it right, with a complete smile too not even judging me for bothering about this. The HEB in Buda is constantly out of items that other HEB stores have in stock. The produce is never quality; some items go bad in 2 days. The cashiers talk to the baggers and ignore you the whole time after saying the obligatory " Hi How are You Doing" HOWEVER, THE REASON FOR THIS REVIEW IS CAT FOOD!! Buda HEB took all the canned cat food that people want to buy (Fancy Feast brand) and put in on the BOTTOM SHELF. I literally saw an old lady struggling to get back up off the floor. I'm 70 and have to get down on the floor! They put their brand on the shelves where you can stand and get it. It's always fully stocked because nobody wants it. It's been left like that for a year- easy. I've shopped at this HEB since it opened. Easily spent 6 figures shopping there approximately 25 years. They won't get another dime from me. Customer service was great! I came in for a quick produce haul, and everything was fresh.

Service is fine, not as good as nearby HEB locations. Stocking conditions worse than nearby HEB stores. Selection worse than nearby HEB stores, especially in Bakery and Meat. No jalapeño bread, not in-house tortillas, no chocolate cake slices. Way fewer natural and organic meat options than nearby stores. Why is this store between Kyle and the Slaughter locations (those are both great stores) but so not as good? It is frustrating for Buda residents. read more

My husband and I had the best experience because of a young cashier named Christian. I don't think he has worked there long because he has a star on his name tag, instead of a number of years. Either way, his work ethics exceeded expectations in my book. He provided excellent customer service; and engaged with us while hitting his Beats per minute. I am not sure what his last name is but I really hope he gets recognized for this review. He's very friendly and you can tell he loves his job! I went to my Friendly neighborhood H-E-B in Buda, Texas. Today Friday the 13 th, I have to say although some of the shelves were empty, I managed to spend over 250.00. The store was clean and in perfect order. The employees were all pleasant and friendly. The check out line was very long but they were very organized. With Buda struggling to become a Megalo-Shopping Destination rivalling San Marcos, (or at least piggybacking off them) I can see the pressure on the 6-year old HEB to expand. The humongous Cabela's and monster Wal-Mart next door must give HEB square-footage-envy. They did a huge remodel just before the Wal-Mart opened, and somehow managed to remove most of the healthy or ethnic foods I enjoy from their shelves. I understand that I am in a "rural" demographic, and that space must be made for new Hot Pockets flavors, but seriously. Gone is the Cabot 75% light Cheddar - basically the only edible lower-fat cheese on the planet. Gone is the San-J Low-Salt Tamari and the organic potatoes. Tahini for making hummus? Gone. POM 100% Pomegranate juice? Replaced by some watered-down Hill Country Fare travesty. Texas Goat Cheese? Gone. Natural Antibiotic- and Hormone-free ground beef? Gone. I'm scared to start liking something they stock, for fear it will disappear. Guess I'll be stopping at Whole Foods on the way home from work. read more

Worst. HEB. Ever. It's dirty constantly, the store(as young as it is) looks worn down and unsanitary. The deli folks are always on short supply and the turnaround must be awful, they seem to constantly be "in training." It's set up poorly and the aisles are narrow and crowded feeling. It often feels like a dollar store reject. Don't waste your time with this store, go to the Kyle HEB Plus if you need anything other than smooshed bread and horrible customer service. The cashiers don't give a crap about you or their jobs, no one is trained to pack bags(don't put a bottle on top of bread), and management of the store seems absent and lacking at best. Dot bother with this store, it's not worth the irritation. read more

NOT the typical HEB. As you enter the doors, you are aware of a "NOT SO Pleasant odor"! The store seems "dirty"! The meat manager was quite rude when I asked to have pork chops tenderized. He said, and I quote,"We will do it this time. But NOT again!" Two of the pharmacy personal are not educated in "customer service"! I am transferring my RX to Buda Drug! I love my local HEB! It is just the right size for me. The one in Kyle is too large and sprawling out. I don't want to walk to the far corner of the super HEB just for a gallon of milk. People are always friendly and helpful. Bakery people could be a bit more attentive, as they seem to run out of boxes, bags or pop up sheets for bakery items. When asked for the items they appear not to know what the are or where they are stored. Overall, they are my go to store and I live right between 2 HEB's. read more

One of the worst heb stores I've ever been to. The manager Joel was very rude and uneducated. He had no idea what a ebt card was and insisted on me giving him my Id like there's a name on the card. Rude and embrassed the heck out of me and my kids. Then accused me of maybe stealing the card even tho i have the pen just because the card doesnt have no name on it. Stupid man no ebt cards have your name on it. Never will I shop at this heb again. read more

Taking a list to them of items they used to carry, I used to buy from them, am very loyal to and will locate them to purchase. At this time, I have to go to 4 different stores to locate these particular items. One I can only find at the Dollar General. Another, only at Mexican grocery stores. Yet another only at Asian grocery stores. Then, for the rest of the items, there's Wal:-/Mart, which I despise but am forced to shop there since HEB stopped carrying the items. I shop BUDA almost exclusively and would like to see HEB keep me as a loyal shopper. read more

It's the only place I shop. I have three kids under eight that I need to expose to different cuisine. I loose my simple mind if I have nothing new to try after a month. HEB has nixed some of my favorite Japanese treats, but they always bring it back with some new Polish pickles I never tried. I love 'em to death. The have managed to hire and retain the first class customer service team. I am there twice a week and have yet to meet a nasty employee, checker or bagger... love these folks. And those guys at the fish counter KNOW their stuff. read more

Outstanding customer service!! On Sunday, 10-9-16 my husband and I finished shopping and were rolling our grocery basket to our car when one of the cartons of soft drinks fell off the bottom of the cart. The wheel of the cart ran over it (not sure how that happened) but I could tell one of the cans has busted because soda was spewing out of the box. When we got to our car John B.. came up to us and handed me a new carton of soda and took the damaged can and wet box. I was absolutely stunned by such service. I asked him how he knew of the situation...and he said I saw you from the office window in the store. This is amazing service.
