For a small H-E-B -- like you can literally circle the store in 20 minutes even if you're a slow…read morewalker like me -- this store is fantastic. It's way more "manageable" than bigger H-E-Bs, & while they might not have the obscure organics or artisanal offerings of a Central Market or other H-E-B's, this store is a hidden gem. The shelves are always stocked, the aisles are always clear, & the associates are always happy & quick to help. I pretty much know where everything is, but the few times I've wandered aimlessly looking for something, fellow shoppers -- mostly older & wiser -- have helped me find whatever it is I'm hunting down. I've always preferred small grocery stores to large ones, & I really have a soft spot for this one. Maybe because I grew up in the area, or maybe I just like how leisurely a shopping trip here is; I enjoy my time spent here, & I think it's a nice change of pace from the Walmarts & Targets of the world. A pro-tip: the H-E-B app is a great help for a store as condensed as this one (& any H-E-B in general). It tells you aisle by aisle if they have something you want in stock, so you can save time, gas, & energy if you need something in a pinch.

This has to be the smallest HEB in Texas. I assume this location has been here for a long time. We…read moredo not live here and popped in for some holiday grocery shopping while in the area. This store is very hard to navigate because it's so small and a lot is crammed in a small space. There's just enough room for two carts in each isle. This is also laid out a bit different than your normal HEB. The butter, yogurt, etc Is actually down an isle and separate from the dairy section. It was a bit hard to find everything. I imagine this is a very convenient location for college students. The parking lot is also small and I imagine hard to find a spot when it's busy. In typical HEB fashion, the staff was kind. Just know when coming here it's going to be limited on selection and hard to navigate especially on busy days.

There was even a hint of gooieness that you want from a cinnamon roll. For a dollar and some change it's a great size! As I noticed other people gathering around the hot food line, I couldn't help but decide on getting a plate. I picked up the ranchero bisteak and chicken Tinga and for my two sides, I decided on the plantains and nopales. Both of the meats I decided on were extremely delicious in flavor and the beef was exceptionally tender. I got red and green salsa and it appears that the red salsa is a tad bit creamy, which is not something I've had many times before. It was unique and extremely tasty. As for the green salsa, I have yet to try, but I am sure it won't disappoint. I do want to give this place praise because I have passed it up before, but it is not a place to be looked over. There's so many other goodies in here that you won't find at a regular grocery store so it's definitely worth coming inside and checking out especially if you just want something to do. The people were so nice exceptional customer service. There is seating if you want to eat inside and they were playing good music. I almost forgot to mention how exceptional the sides were. Often times people mess up nopales, but these were delicious.

As a tea aficionado, where else can you find a wall of affordable loose leaf teas of all differing brands and tastes? I've gotten to try so many different types of tea since discovering this since I can chose the amount I want and don't have to buy a pre-packaged specific amount. I've gotten all kinds such as black, oolong, green, and herbals. Deeeef recommend if you're a tea lover like me. They also have the same kind of thing but for coffee. Their cafe is also pretty decent! Recently came here and got their Mediterranean salad. It includes dolmas, pita, and hummus, as well as the salad. And went and got a side of soup and a roll at their self serve soup area to have alongside it. Everything was very yummy! I do wish they had slightly more plant based/veg options, but they do have a small handful so I don't wanna complain too much. Parking is generally easy and getting out ain't difficult either. All in all, this is my closest location, and I like it a lot!
