We also shopped Sams club and Marshall's. This is hands down the best bargain in San Marcos for your bedding needs. The only thing that is disappointing is that there is no more real cashiers. Only self checkouts, which is the now the way of the world. On our way out, we discovered a 25% off coupon picked it up and discussed with front desk lady. We used a 20% off one item coupon. It didn't take long to realize that we are better off with the 25% coupon, and had the manager redo our order. That ended up saving us an extra $24! I believe it excluded already sale priced items.

This time instead of exploring their packaged snack products I thought about how much room we have left in our car and flying it home so I decided against it. I did buy 3 of their small cup size Blue Bell dark chocolate ice cream- for all of us but the cashier gave only one spoon. It tasted so good I had hubs go get me a large size one since I didn't eat a normal lunch and it was past 5 pm. While I waited in the car with the grandpup. I wanted to find some Bucee items for Doc since she's been our road trip driver plus made all the arrangements for hotels, tickets to parks, dinner show, etc. We all got different things: hubs got small bags of jerky, Doc got her favorite brisket sandwich to share with her Frenchie, a sausage on a stick and 3 peach cobblers for each of us to try. I like the large amount of clean restroom stalls plus soap. The cone of warmed sugary pecans and cinnamon bites were a sweet snack- finally gone from the first Buc-ee's a week ago. Its consistency is like mush, and not like muscle fibers. There was nothing lean brisket vs fatty brisket. The brisket had holes throughout, making it look even more like an ultra processed deli meat or even lab grown. I was disgusted, to say the least. They also have ZERO options for people conscious of the ingredient lists. We bought popcorn and the bag was open at the bottom. I opted the top and it was super stale. I realized it was open on the bottom and the store game me a hard time about exchanging it. It's pretty clear the sealing process failed for this bag. We won't be shopping here anymore, nor will we eat their food. But if you're visiting Texas and come across one, it's a fun stop to pass time.

Don't turn into Hat Creek/Murdoch to get here. Keep going on down the feeder. Once you're inside, it's one of the newly redesigned stores. It looks fresh, and inventory isn't all picked over. More aisles, and each aisle is shorter and logically arranged. Things are actually neatly organized, and lighting is inviting. The checkouts are all in a queue at the front, so there isn't the jockeying customary at other locations for the shortest line. And the staff are actually friendly! I was actually taking the opportunity to return a tube of caulk I had bought in Austin, and was treated just fine even though I didn't buy anything. I was short on time and didn't browse, which was my only regret. It looks like it could be fun shopping in this Harbor Freight store.

I went to get an air compressor after having a low tire of RV part. Cell's manager suggested one…read morethat was $169. It would go up to 150 psi. So drive back to the RV park cut the tape and opened the box. Normally I wouldn't look at directions cause I've used one before but I wanted to make sure this particular model. Right away I noticed it it said there is not a hose included. You have to get that extra. That was nowhere on the box. The manager who sold it to me, didn't mention that either. So I didn't take anything else out of the box and I went back to get a hose, but my neighbor stopped me and said hey I've got a compressor and so we used it real quickly to get my tire up to speed. I went back to the store. This is like an hour and a half later and said manager said well we charge a restocking fee normally. I said seriously I just bought this, and you didn't mention, I needed a hose to use it. Had he told me upfront I would've kept it and gone about my business. He said well since you just bought it I'll make an exception and let you return it but just notice it is an exception. So the exception here is I won't return to Harbor freight to buy anything that cost over $100. Their tools are fine. Their selection of other stuff is fine, but when they can't sell you a product what it takes to use it cause a lot of frustration. It's just bad service .
