Before finding Rock Solid, I actually hired another concrete contractor because their quote was a little cheaper and they had decent reviews. Unfortunately, that decision ended up costing me time and frustration. The contractor never came out to look at the site beforehand and relied only on a photo I sent. When the slab was poured, it ended up several inches out of square and badly sloped, which made it completely unusable for placing a shed on top of it. Thankfully I was able to get my money back and have it removed, but the whole experience reinforced something many homeowners learn the hard way: the cheapest quote is rarely the best value. That's when I reached out to Charlie at Rock Solid Concrete, and the difference was obvious right away. Charlie came out in person to survey the site, explain the grading and prep work needed, and walk me through exactly how they would make sure the slab was square, level, and reinforced with rebar since it would support a structure. On the day of the project, Charlie was involved from start to finish. He checked measurements, supervised the crew, and sent photos and updates throughout the process so I could see each stage -- from forming and rebar placement to the final finish. The professionalism stood out. The crew respected the property, kept the area clean, and worked efficiently. Once everything cured, I checked the slab with a level and it is perfectly square and perfectly level, exactly what you want when placing a shed or structure on top. Charlie clearly takes pride in his work and treats every job as if it were on his own property. Rock Solid's quote wasn't the cheapest one I received, but after seeing the result I can confidently say it was worth every penny for the quality and peace of mind. I'll absolutely recommend Rock Solid Concrete and Charlie to anyone needing concrete work, and if I ever have another concrete project, he'll be the first person I call.

I would hope though that communication would still remain open as a simple text message to update me would have taken less than a minute and much faster than the time you took to respond on here. - i'm not mad at all so I'm not sure why you put that in your response but when I was searching for other contractors, yelp, put your company right in front of me and asked me to review it. It wasn't something that I sought out. So I left an honest review of my experience. I completely agree with other contractors being licensed and having horrible reviews. Your reviews looked great, which is why I called you in the first place. Great craftsmanship/ reviews or not, a homeowner is still liable if someone on the job gets injured and that could have potential to ruin someone's life in a lawsuit. It Has nothing to do with the quality of work but just liability in general. The only thing that was questionable is how long you've been in business and are just now getting your license. That didn't really add up to me, but I wish you guys the best truly and sorry again for your loss

More than a month ago, I realized that a tree had poked a hole through a wall on the back of my…read moreproperty. Between this and wanting to raise the wall several feet to match the height of the wall by my neighbors on both sides, I knew I needed to speak to a masonry company. I used Thumbtack and found three companies that all seemed to do some great work. While two of the companies had ten or less reviews (with 5 stars out of 5 as the average), only A&A Masonry had more than one hundred reviews (also with 5 stars out of 5 as the average). I invited all three companies to stop by for an in-person quote. A&A Masonry was the only company to be very responsive as well as being able to schedule a very quick in-person visit to take place within a day or two. While they didn't initially provide the least expensive quote, they offered to do a lot more work and also discouraged me from unnecessary additional expenses which the other companies encouraged me to do. There was also some additional last minute damage identified when the tree was removed only a day earlier, and A&A Masonry was able to fix the wall for a minimal additional expense. It turned out that if I ended up using either of the other companies, I would have paid more, and it would have taken longer to complete the work. Juan and his team arrived at 5:30 AM to start the work. I expected it to take a few days for the work to be done but even with the extra work, it was still completed in only one day. They cleaned everything up as if they hadn't been there other than the work being completed exceeding my expectations. They also provided me multiple ways to pay afterwards. Alex was very easy to communicate with and quick at responding. Of the three companies I received quotes from, A&A Masonry provided me the most reasonable price while also providing me the most confidence in what I could expect. I certainly recommend anyone to use them for masonry work! Thanks to Juan, Alex, and A&A Masonry LLC!

He provided us quotes for every option and we ended up going with just having it trimmed. He asked us for feedback as he went to make sure i was left with something i was happy with. His prices were great for the work they do + the clean up and haul away. I was really impressed and will be giving their name out to everyone i know and next time we need some work done...i know who to call. I'm confident that whatever you need, they can do it. We used JNK for a minor project two years ago, and Naji and the crew were superb: they showed up on time, worked diligently to finish the project in a professional manner, and brought a remarkable attention to detail to their work. Therefore, we chose them again for this much larger project, and I'm pleased to say they exceeded our expectations in every way. Naji arrived to discuss the project, and based on our conversations with him, was well-prepared to discuss options. He is a deeply knowledgeable person who is personable, professional, and truly customer-focused. The crew showed up right on time, and the point person on the job, Joaquin, explained the process of removing sod and dirt and installing the pavers--over 1,000 of them. They hand-measured and hand-cut the pavers that created the circular mesa around each tree--they look exquisite. It was a crew of seven, who were perfectly coordinated, worked well together, and hustled to get the job done in the promised timeframe--one day, which astonished my wife and me. Because the job required cutting a number of pavers there was quite a bit of brick dust. After completion, Joaquin used the hose to meticulously spray off all of our trees, shrubs, and all of the rock, to make it look pristine--that's going the extra mile! You can evaluate other companies, but if you want exceptional quality, attention to detail, honesty, and integrity, I recommend JNK without exception or qualification. Service-communication: very good. My main contact was James. Took a lot of time with us. We were going from scratch, so it took a while for us to figure out what we wanted. Plus, had to get HOA approval for a pergola - never fun, but finally got through that. Second contact was Ali toward the end with the irrigation and plants. Easy to deal with. Once the contract was signed, they indicated 2-3 weeks to begin, and that was accurate. Supply delivery began about five days prior to commencing work. The initial crew wasted no time getting to work. They kept the premises clean. Everyone professional. Quality: All I can say, is so far so good! Nice paver work, Pergola looks great. Electrical all appears properly done. Turf looks great. We are very happy with the results. Everyone cleaned up after themselves. Delays: none of any consequence. Toward the end, had to wait for the pergola parts to arrive. About three weeks to complete entire job.

My concern was that I felt the result was very different from what I hoped. I was disappointed. I hoped to have one of the nicest properties in the community, and instead I felt a little embarrassed. This is my fault, but I was out of the country for a couple of months while the company was doing the install, and I was too busy to give the project the careful thought that it required. After being in the house for one week, I decided that I was unhappy enough to be feel bad instead of happy about my new front and back yards. I decided to find another landscaper to totally redo the landscaping. I had seen the Desert Sage Landscaping truck several times over the past few months working on nicely landscaped properties (I rented a house in the community for 8 moths while they built my house). I liked what I saw. I talked with one of the guys and he took me to the owner, Miguel. I liked having the owner actively maintaining landscapes because that gave me confidence that he had a lot of practical, on the job experience with plants in our desert environment. I showed him my front and back yards and told him what I wanted done. I asked him about many plants that I liked and he told me what was good and what was bad. He was speaking from experience in maintaining so many properties. He gave me a plan within 24 hours and began a couple of days later. He and his crew spent about a week replacing the walkways and plants, and adding boulders, hills, irrigation, lights and many plants. The price was reasonable and the result is excellent. Water from the pool or rain would flood the back patio. After thirty years of wear and tear in the backyard, the rocks and the dirt were sliding into the pool during rain or heavy pool days as well. The brickwork that was put in by the previous owners was not level. And I needed to be pulled up.They were able to level the ground and patio. Miguel installed a drain line and a French drain. This moves the water away from the house and gives it a place to go. He added a pony wall that serves as a bench and also a small retaining wall to help divert water away from the pool, and keep rocks from being kicked into the pool pair.He if we removed old brickwork and installed new bricks with a nice border to make it look seamless A nd inviting into the backyard, He refreshed our our ground covering rocks front and back. He moved some decorative boulders and also trimmed up the yard.And removed some bushes. He and his crew were on time. Communicated well and cleaned up after themselves.
