Amazing customer service! Shrimp and veggie Sandos were delicious, need to come back to try the meat sandos. Lots of seating for casual lunch or dinner dine in.

An amazing new adventure today at a Japanese sando shop, GYU Plus in Vegas. The concept is interesting and I've not seen this before. Your order Japanese bowls or 3 half sandwiches, no crust, perfectly toasted inner bread with pipettes of sauce to infused into the sando. The staff is enthusiastic about discussing the concept and helping you order. The restaurant is small but stuffed full of patrons, all smiling. We ordered the egg sandwich with diced jidori fluffy eggs, mayo, secret sauce and a crust- less white airy toast. They recommended the togarashi chips for additional flavor and the salt. It seems simple, was delicious and a welcomed surprise. The spicy chicken Katso sando with lightly dusted panko crust, spicy mayo cabbage, pickled carrots, tokatsu sauce on a fluffy white toasted bread. The spice was just right, crispy chicken and again, the pipette of sauce sealed the deal. While we were waiting in line, I asked a couple what did they order and he said don't order the trio of three half sandwiches (9 half sandwiches) as it was to much food. He insisted that I try a shrimp sando that they were not going to eat and it was equally delicious. A very kind jester and opportunity to try another sando combination. GYU Plus is an interesting twist on a simple but flavorful Japanese sandwich. Tasty, light and flavor packed made this a great choice for a quick lunch. The wait staff was lovely and extremely helpful. I did feel guilty eating a sandwich with no crust as that would never flown in our house as kids. Great job GYU Plus and we will definitely return.

So, so good! We got the sampler and all three options were delicious! The egg, chicken, and steak were all so tasty. The bread was soft and thick, and the food was very fresh. Definitely take advantage of the sauces in the droppers - they are the perfect finishing touch! I love that they have the option to order online and pick it up. There is plenty of parking and the area is nice. The staff were friendly and efficient.

GYU Plus seriously impressed me. If you're into Japanese-style sandos, this place is a must-try. I ordered the steak sando, spicy chicken katsu sando, egg salad sando, & the togarashi potato chips. My favorite was the steak sando! It was rich, tender, & perfectly cooked (medium rare). The secret sauce that came with it was a perfect complement & gave it such good flavor, along with the onion jam. The spicy chicken katsu sando had the perfect crunch with just the right amount of heat. The egg salad sando was simple but creamy & delicious! The only thing I'll pass on next time is the togarashi chips. Although the chips were a nice side to the sandos, it wasn't anything special. Everything tasted fresh & thoughtfully prepared, & the portions were super satisfying. I'll definitely be back!

This GYU+ is the 2nd location and just opened! We love the egg sandos here and you definitely get a good product for the money. We always enjoy the service and this new location is no different. Of course since this place is a new, it's fresh and clean inside. Can't wait for more of these locations!

Thought the staff were really nice and friendly! The shrimp sando was delicious with lots of flavor. Server recommended we eat the egg salad first because it is a much simpler taste and he was right. If you get the egg salad eat it first, could have used some salt and pepper for me but I think the texture was great. A little too plain. But the shrimp was fantastic! Would order again.

Food is tasty. 4 sandwiches for 4 people seems small but it ended up to be filing. We also ordered the shrimp sando (it became my favorite but forgot to take a pic) and chips - tasted crispy and not overly oily. Restaurant was quite packed with dine-ins at lunch time. Highlight was how professional, patient and friendly the sales associate was. We had a ton of questions and hesitation, but he explained the menu clearly and suggested what to order for our party of 4.

This Japanese sando spot is such a pleasant find. The space is very clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged -- small but comfortable, and it feels well cared for. It's the kind of place where you can relax for a few minutes without feeling rushed, even though it's perfect for a quick bite. The service was warm and efficient. Orders came out quickly, but everything still felt freshly prepared. The steak sando was the highlight. The beef was incredibly juicy and tender, with a fresh, soft bread that held everything together without being soggy. The balance of texture -- crisp exterior, fluffy bread, and succulent steak -- was done really well. It tasted clean and not greasy at all. Great option when you want something satisfying but not heavy. Perfect for a quick snack or light meal without compromising quality.

I ordered the pork belly rice box. It was very flavorful but the amount was quite small for the price. Service was exceptional as the counter staff were very helpful and friendly. Facility is clean and thoughtfully planned. The decor was quite pleasant.

A friend told me about this place that opened up close to where we live, so, for his birthday, I bought him and his roommates dinner from GYU Plus. First of all, it was a journey to get to the place because I got confused by the parking lots surrounding the restaurant (I took a wrong turn and felt like I was in a maze I couldn't escape). The restaurant itself is small but nice. I like the cleanliness and no frills decor. The service was great as they were welcoming and happy to help explain the menu and make recommendations. Now the most important part - the food. All the sandwiches use shokupan bread. I liked the bread, but the friends were not a fan of the thickness of the bread. But for most sandwiches, I liked that the thick cuts of bread held in the fillings well. Steak sando - as much as I wanted to like it , I thought it was just ok. Most of the meat was tender and surprisingly easy to bite into. I loved the soy demi glacé sauce. I noticed that the bread, despite its thickness, would fall apart with this sando. Crispy shrimp sando - while the flavor of shrimp was there, the texture reminded me of chicken. Egg sando - I was hoping for a sando that brought me back to Japan, but this is where those thick cuts of bread worked against them as it was too thick for my liking. I also thought the egg filling was a bit heavier than the usual egg sando I've had in Japan. Togarashi chips - house made chips that were crispy and not too thick. Perfect compliment to the sandos. I loved the slight spice from the Togarashi. Crispy chicken- I was surprised to find that this was my favorite sando. Thin cuts of chicken that is coated in panko and deep fried. With the slaw and sauce, it was a very tast my sando that I would get again. The place is pricey and even more so depending on the sando you get. The most expensive is the Wagyu, which I didn't try since it cost $99. The regular steak sando is $24. The cheapest sando I think is the egg at about $12.

First time here and we were really happy after we dined in. I didn't catch his name but the guy who took our order asked us if we'd been there before and walked us through their menu when we said no. We tried the Spicy Katsu Chicken, Steak and Egg Sandos and we loved all 3, the chicken was the fan favorite. All 3 were made fresh. We had the Togarashi chips as well, if they had some sort of fry like maybe sweet potato or something to match the vibe, that would be yummy side note....the bathroom is FANCY.

Such a great find! From the moment we walked in, the space felt clean, modern, and very on theme with the Japanese-inspired concept. The aesthetic is simple but intentional, which makes the whole experience feel put together without being over the top. The service really stood out to me. The staff was personable and welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely care about the food they're serving. They were happy to answer questions and made the experience feel relaxed rather than rushed. The food was delicious, but my absolute favorite was Freddie's fried rice. It had so much flavor and was cooked perfectly, not too oily, with great texture in every bite. You can tell attention is paid to the details. If you're looking for a Japanese-inspired sando or rice bowl spot that delivers both on flavor and atmosphere, I definitely recommend checking out GYU Plus.

This place is a hidden gem! We had a craving of something different when we were in Las Vegas and we found this place last minute. It did not disappoint! The please is fairly small with just one long community table and the kitchen is right infront of it so you can see how they work their magic. When we go back to LV we will definitely visit again!

First off, the nigiri deserves a shoutout--the fish-to-rice ratio was on point. Each piece had a generous cut of fresh fish without overwhelming the rice, which made every bite feel balanced and satisfying. You can tell they pay attention to the details. We also tried a few hot dishes, and they didn't disappoint. The karaage came out crispy on the outside and juicy inside, perfectly seasoned without being too heavy. The salmon steak was another standout--flavorful, tender, and cooked just right. Same goes for the beef short rib, which was rich, well-marinated, and fell apart with every bite. Service was just as solid as the food. Our server was attentive, friendly, and kept everything flowing smoothly without hovering--always a plus. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the value. Their weekday lunch special (until 4pm) is a great deal for the quality you're getting, and if you're out late, the $19 late-night special after 10pm is hard to beat. Overall, Mr. Shota is a spot I'd definitely come back to--whether it's for a casual lunch, a solid dinner, or a late-night bite. Great food, great service, and even better pricing.

You don't need to go to the Strip for Ari yeah!…read more Ari Sushi & Izakaya is a very well-Yelped restaurant in the southwest. I've particularly seen buddies post about it on Instagram a lot, and I finally made my way out there since I found that it aligned with my mom's food craving. I went for the Ari Ari Combo ($29.00). It started with a little bowl of balanced miso soup and a tiny side salad with fresh greens and a simple sesame dressing, and was followed by six thin but delicious sashimi slices and four basic but also solid-quality nigiri. I would be more than happy to come back try to more of their raw fish any time. If that doesn't sound like enough for lunch, I did share other food items. The Garlic Edamame ($7.00) felt a little less salted than I expected but was a good portion and had plenty of both a garlic sauce and crispy garlic slivers. I also helped out with a Bento with 3 items ($25.00): bulgogi, mixed tempura, and spicy tuna roll. The bulgogi was tender but not strongly marinated enough and the spicy tuna roll felt pretty standard, but I did really enjoy the shrimp tempura and the veggie tempura pieces which I tried. They were super hot and crispy while being cooked perfectly inside, and the sauce was perfect. The music was relaxing and not played at a very high volume. The restaurant is a little more dim than I'd like and could benefit from overhead narrow-angle lights, but maybe the food was just that good that the lighting wasn't so important. The server was happy to refill my complimentary water with lemon as often as needed, as well as to add more water to the Hot Green Tea ($4.00). I did try some of the tea, and it was potent and low in bitterness. I'm pleased to report that Ari Sushi really does offer delicious sushi, enough so that I'll probably have to make more trips from Henderson to try more of their menu. If you want high quality mid-price-range sushi that's not in an all you can eat format, this is a great place to look.
