Went for a Sunday brunch and got the Huevos Rancheros and was pleasantly surprised by how good and delicious it was. I also had the Gypsy Juice as my beverage, along with some Pastelitos (beef) shared for the table. Those were just OK to me and I've had better elsewhere. My party and I sat outside for a nice day out on the patio and some people watching, and despite being the only ones out there while we were dining, we still had great service from our server.

The atmosphere was fun and cozy, we felt like we stumbled into the seventies in the best way possible! The bartender was kind and friendly, making all of our groups drinks and snacks and bringing them over to where we were and keeping the space clean. We were able to take awesome pictures and have great conversation!

All the food we had was very good. The Chicken Noodle sou was different in a good way. I had the Creole Fettuccine. Not to spicy, just right. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. My wife had the Cuban Pork which she loved. We also tried their Gypsy Juice. Our young lady server was terrific, however we were there for almost an hour and a half before we got our entrees. This is way too long and unexceptionable. We would love to try other menu items but the chairs are not very comfortable to wait that long for the main course. The interior is very dark making it hard to read the menu, so bring a flashlight or your cell phone.

Gypsy Parlour will unleash your inner itinerant, make you wish you wore your most eccentric crop top, and have you vibing to the delicious flavours of good food and drinks with wonderful service. The parlor itself is dimly lit but the tinkle lights, decor, and silks provide a welcoming environment that certainly will not let you forget the gypsy here. The menu is simple yet elaborate at the same time, offering a great selection of fushion foods from poutine to tacos, to fried plantains and burgers. There is definitely something for everyone on this menu, but DEFINITELY get some fries! The drink menu also offers a fun selection of mix drinks, local brews, wine, and many more. The signature gypsy juice is a great adult bevvy that will tantalize your taste buds with a tart Shirley temple like taste with notes of sweet syrup and florals. We ordered things to share at the table including small fries (which was a hefty serving), bahn mi poutine, buffalo chicken spring rolls, and plantains. Fries are crispy, perfectly salted, and come in great portion sizes and were also the perfect base for the poutine. WOW this poutine was AMAZING! The flavours of the brisket and cheese were well executed and balanced (this is coming from a Canadian who knows her poutine) and perfectly complimented the gently pickled veg and bahn mi flavours. Not to be forgetton is the MASSIVE buffalo spring rolls... like literally the size of a fist with 2 per a serving, loaded with spicy buffalo chicken, blue cheese chunks and served over beautiful mesclun and a side of blue cheese of course. A lovely addition to the meal was the plantains, they are a sweetly sautéed version, not fried patties like many are use to and complimented the meal perfectly. Such a fun and delicious time with great service and great prices. The 4 items we ordered and 3 different drinks (gypsy juice, local beer, and wine) came to like $50 and we were not disappointed at all and very well fed! Love the gypsy parlor!

I love this place, always faithful. We were looking for an early bird dinner on The West Side. Table service on the patio, on a Sunday afternoon was superb. We had The Buffalo Artichoke Bites and The Cuban Pork. Hot, tasty, very satisfying with plenty of leftovers to go. The service here is consistently warm, welcoming and attentive. A great start for a Sunday Night

Great open mic night here! Fun variety of performers. Tried out a beef pastellilo and my friend had the chicken soup. Both were delicious. Great atmosphere. Great service.

We came in for their monthly Jazz Jam (the first Monday of every month!) and made a reservation beforehand so we had a perfect view of the band playing. The night was very relaxing and we loved listening to everyone play. The food was beyond good! I was not expecting it to be so good from a bar but wow! There was so much flavor in everything. Our friend who ordered the ramen said it was the best he's ever had. 2 of us ordered the shrimp tacos and loved them. I went with the trash plate (I had to! I'm from outside Rochester so it's only right). Although it's not a traditional garbage plate, this is a fancier take on one and the best I've ever had in Buffalo. I would absolutely order it again. They have a good cocktail list and most of them could be made into mocktails so I was able to get myself a blackberry margarita mocktail! Our server was even knowledgeable enough to know that mine would need to be watered down if it was made into a mocktail because it would be too sweet otherwise. I really appreciated him looking out for me! I can't wait to come back for the next Jazz Jam!

I frequent here - pretty much every week so I'm probably partial but I had to review the Crunchwrap that was recently on special. Soooo delicious and loaded with meat and fillings. I've had a lot of food from here, usually wings but I've never had bad food. My other favorite special recently was the birria eggrolls and they were huge! They have new specials every week and a lot of vegan options but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Always good vibes

Had a great brunch at Gypsy parlor today, made a reservation and table was ready upon arrival, couldn't get outside though but that's okay. Covid policies and social distancing we're all in place. The pulled pork and sweet potato hash was perfect, as was the service. The place has a great vibe oh, well worth visiting again.

My daughter goes here and raves about the food so I had to go check it out . love the atmosphere alot to look at! They have seasonal menues they were in the fall one when we went. My daughter had ramen was great plenty of noodles and chicken, bean sprouts great broth a friend had buffalo spring roll with shredded spicy chicken and gorgonzola cheese looked like a huge deep fried egg roll! It tasted like buffalo chicken wing dip I thought the gorgonzola was blue cheese because it was tangy and soft and warm nice surprise another friend had Creole fettuccine it had shrimp, andouille sausage, sweet peppers and onions and came with 2 pieces of toasted bread was nice and spicy and the shrimp and sausage was well cook. I would order next time I come in! Yes I need to come again so much different things on the menu that tweet my interest I must come back I heard the molten lava cake was to die for we will try next time! Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable on his drinks and the food we had him running! If your looking for a eclectic charming neighborhood place to go gypsy is the place to go and oh yes the drinks were good too

The more I've learned about them the more I wanted to visit. I was optimistic that they could be our new neighborhood bar. We finally got an opportunity to visit this evening, on a Thursday around seven. When we first walked up it seemed packed full and I was a little anxious, just because I avoid crowded places. I looked inside to make sure there was room and I was pleasantly surprised that there were a few four tops available. Most folks were at the bar. I prefer a table anyways, so it was perfect. We got to a table and someone came up right away. I ordered a Paper Plane and Matt got the Lagunitas IPA (um, great price at $6!). I had already heard the owners were from San Francisco, which makes us so happy because we happen to be from the same area! We ordered the pasta chips and flatbread to snack on. They were both delicious! I love sweet and savory and the dip that came with the pasta chips definitely delivered on that! I also got the best dirty martini I've had yet! I always want to ask for three olives, but don't want to be a pain. This one came with three olives without me asking! We'll definitely be back lots! So close, so welcoming, such delicious cocktails, very reasonable prices. Everyone was so kind, there was no pretension whatsoever. They're the neighborhood bar we've been waiting for. So super happy!

So glad that on the spur of my girlfriend invited me to go to hear some jazz piano on a Sunday night. Great way to end the weekend! Small group of silver-haired patrons. These are dark, dark times indeed...but somehow, Nietzsche's is a little beacon of light down at the end of Allen Street. From the exterior, it isn't hard to surmise that Nietzche's is a dive bar. Very much coated outside and in with writing on the walls, old photographs, weird relics that have been around for longer than I've been alive, you immediately forget what the sun looks like if you're going in in the daytime. But, that's okay. The people of Allentown will tell you that the dark is comforting...and you wouldn't want to see a place like this properly lit up ANYWAY... But don't get it twisted, what might come off as "rough around the edges" to some, this bar is absolutely one of the coziest, comforting dives and I'm always ecstatic whenever I get the chance to come here. They have a pretty decent variety as far as beverages go. Mostly tap beers, but they have a fridge with plenty of other canned stuff; my go-to is a cider, of course. A cheap PBR is my husband's drink of choice and has been for most of his adult life - and that's what we love about this place! The consistency!! Live music daily. Yes, daily. They literally have a calendar inside that will tell you every musician that has booked a spot that day. Sometimes it's just a solo guy playing in the front of the house, other times there's a full band in the back. Either way, you're going to get a totally unique music experience here, no matter what day you pick or what time you get there! I think they have snacks here?? I can't remember. After The Pink burned down we went to Nietzsche's the next day and they were serving up bagels and cream cheese. Totally unique experience. But I have eaten in this establishment before. However, this place isn't known for it's food, so I wouldn't rely on it. Instead, might I recommend the Jim's SteakOut down the street? Nietzsche's is owned by some pretty good people now, who are putting their heart and soul into keeping the business good and the music flowing for years to come. And I can't wait to go back. Rock on y'all.

There were only a few other guests during our stay and things began to pickup as we were leaving. In the past, later at night, we've walked by and the place is quite packed. If you like quiet intimacy and a deal on drinks and food happy hour is your golden time here. I almost hate to share this secret tbh. Don't go. Leave this for me haha. The drinks here are all delicious and lovingly made. Really superb cocktails that taste good. The food is pretty good. It is clearly prepared well and presented artfully. I do think that calling a burger, "A quest for heaven" and not having it be super memorable and mind blowingly flavorful is a miss. It's a good burger and I'd eat it again but it's not a craveable item and I hoped with such a small menu it would be amazing. The charcuterie is super generously portioned and the nduja add on is a huge portion of nduja. Get the charcuterie. The crab toast was good and I'd get it again. We want to try baked brie next time. We also tried the pistachio mousse dessert and it was very pretty but lacked a lot of pistachio flavor. A chocolate cup full of unflavored but rich whipped cream and a minuscule amount of pistachio flavored something that was holding the cup to the plate. We were mostly just confused by the name of the dish versus the experience. It was good just not pistachio mousse. We actually wondered if someone accidentally prepared it wrong. We were here for an anniversary and were given free champagne before our meal and offered more at the end which we declined because of all the other lovely drinks we'd had. The service was great, the staff were polite and informed about the menu and drinks and the bartenders made wonderful things. Will be trying Saint Neri again soon.
