Pecan crusted salmon
Carolyn C.

Bacchus continues to impress us- one of the best salmon spots in Buffalo! For the past 3 years we have been coming here for my birthday, and we have never been disappointed. To start, the ambiance is romantic and it's a beautiful spot. This time (2/22/2026) we ordered potato pave as an appetizer, which was delicious. We also got a Caesar salad to split. I got the pecan crusted salmon for my appetizer which is amazing every time! My fiancé got the filet which he really enjoyed. As dessert we had the triple chocolate cake - just amazing. Our waitress was very attentive and brought out the cake with a candle for my birthday, which made the night feel extra special. We love it here!

The place had a nice ambiance but the food was sub par at best. Entirely Entirely to much garnish on each and every dish . Glad that I had a chance to try foi gras(duck liver) and I must say the house bread was extraordinary good as well. The filet was tender but in the same breath the crumb brûlée was a rip off for 16$ and definitely wasn't enough for two. Point being would I come back? No not worth the $200+ spent

My son brought me here for my birthday, it wasn't my choice. The restaurant is beautiful, I'm a senior and I had to use my phone for light. The waitress was very nice and explained everything, we ordered lemon drops and the drinks were delicious. As a small plate I ordered caesar salad, which was different but good, he ordered foie gras i tried it and i didn't like it, and he ordered cured salmon, I didn't like that either, to me it was just too many garnishes on everything. I ordered the filet and that was cooked perfectly, my son ordered tuna rare, and I didn't like the texture of the tuna and for desert we got the creme Brule and that was delicious. Overall I'm glad that I got to experience different types of food that I only seen on Hell's Kitchen. Would I recommend this restaurant, Yes I would, and not to mention the free valet parking

Special lemon ricotta pie with pine nuts and homemade whipped cream. A bit like a less-sweet airy cheesecake. Amazing.

Had an excellent meal here on our recent trip to Buffalo. Not one dish was anything less than outstanding. The actual restaurant experience was a bit slow and chaotic, especially initially. It was a Sunday night and we were asked to sit at the bar since we didn't have a reservation (but there were still numerous empty tables that had never been filled by the time we left almost two hours later), so that was strange and a little off-putting at first. The bartender (Andrew, I believe, who was wonderful) indicated there'd been some issues including their computer system going down and it definitely seemed like they were understaffed. Not sure how typical all of that is, but just in case I would recommend visiting only if you've got leisurely time to spare. It was worth the wait. In addition to the calamari-and-shrimp appetizer, my boyfriend and I had the specials: a shrimp-topped halibut over risotto and asparagus, a dijon rack of lamb with herbed couscous, and the lemon ricotta pie with blueberry compote and pine nuts. Everything was cooked to perfection. Best lamb I've ever had, and I was excited to see the lemon pie as it's one of my favorite desserts but not something I commonly see on menus. The vibe is low-lit romantic, with white tablecloths, dark red textiles, and candles in a gorgeous historic building. Definitely great atmosphere. Unsurprisingly, it's a nice spot and the prices reflect that. The entrees were about $40 a pop, and you'll spend an additional $12-15/glass on wine and $18-25 on apps. It's in convenient walking location of a number of downtown Buffalo hotels.

From the apps to the drinks the dinner was incredible. The service was slow but more relaxed type of fancy slow than annoyingly slow. We are in Buffalo once a year and this is our first year trying this place. It's now the only one we know we will absolutely do every time we are here again in the future. Expensive but worth it.

I went with a friend of mine to hear live music on a Friday night. We did not realize how busy they would be, or we would have made reservations. We decided to have dinner at the bar which worked out okay but I will definitely make reservations next time I go. We started with baked brie. The brie was served warm with pistachios, figs, and a berry jam. I also ordered a sqash soup. I was not a fan that is because I i don't like the seasonings. If I had read the description, I wouldn't have ordered it. My friend, however, raved about how good it was. I had a ribeye which I ordered without the gorgonzola crust. It was cooked perfectly. I will definitely be back. Loved the live music - the atmosphere and the food.

Tuna Tartare, Artichoke, Caesar Salad

I had a 8p reservation and I was seated promptly. However, there was a large dinner party so service was a bit delayed. I tried Tuna Tartare 10/10 Bacchus Bouillabaisse 1000/10 and a Negroni Sbagliato 8/10. The fresh bread 10/10. It was a bit chilly inside, the server did adjust the temp near the table at our request. I recommend and look forward to going again.

Calamari, Brie, and Tartar

Service was top tier! I'd left something in my car and was prepared to run to the car but instead, the valet offered to retrieve it for me. Coming from Southern CA, I've never received that offer and it meant a lot. Now, the good was phenomenal. We ordered the Brie, Caesar salad, TarTar, and Calamari before dinner and it was all so mouthwatering. Our main course of the Salmon and also stead didn't disappoint either. That was some of the most succulent and flavorful salmon I've ever had and it paired very well with the sides. Genuinely a 10/10

Service was excellent. Atmosphere and ambience was quite nice. The menu selections were intriguing and eclectic. Wine selections were exhaustive and I appreciated the opportunity to purchase half bottles of higher quality items. Execution on the food side, though, was a bit off. Everything seemed over salted and not as fresh as expected. We chalked this up to it being Sunday night late after a home Buffalo Bills game. I'd give it another try. Don't miss the amazing wine bottle cork art in their private party room!

Passion Fruit Margarita w/"Black Salt"

Bacchus was a great welcome to Buffalo!!!! Approximately a 3 minute walk from our Hotel. We had reservations so we were immediately seated, our waitress brought us the daily specials list and wine list. We both ordered the Passion Fruit Margarita with Black Salt Rim. I ordered for my meal the Roasted Chicken with Ranch Drizzle, accompanied with Mashed potatoes with caramelized onions and a tomato spring salad. Lord have mercy, those little cherry tomatoes were bursting with juicy deliciousness!¡! Clearly this garnish sets the tone for the dish. I complimented the tomato salad and the waitress brought out a small plate with a serving of the tomato salad!!!! Hats down, such stellar customer service!!! The chef is in the kitchen " Setting it Off"!!!!! Everything was superb. The mood of the restaurant is relaxing , the uplighting and ambiance is like a warm hug!!!! Thanks for the welcome to Buffalo on a night when the Bills won over Miami by 24 points , wide receiver just came through like a steam roller!!! So tonights meal was celebrated as that win!!! We see yoi being fabulous Bacchus!!!! Our Bill was $120 , but worth ever cent.

Bacchus continues to impress. The food is for the most part excellent. A great server like we had tonight, Ann Marie, compels the fifth star. She took care of our table of eight in the private dining room by herself and kept things moving nicely. Not only is there talent in the kitchen, but the menu planning is very creative, very impressive. The duck was certainly good and nicely seasoned but the accompanying Israeli couscous with pumpkin seeds was spectacular. As was the calamari and shrimp appetizer. I was going to pout because their bouillabaisse was not available tonight and that is usually what I have at this fine establishment, but that forced me to get what I ordinarily would not have and I'm glad of it. The people in my group got a variety of cocktails, which I'm told were all properly made. My double bourbon was a nice heavy pour. The glasses, flatware, place settings were all elegant and functional. Our waitress knew how to pour wine, which is a dying art. The coffee was a bit weak, but I chalk that up to personal preference and not a shortcoming of this excellent restaurant. The desserts were decadent and not too large. If I had any criticism at all, it would be that the water that is served tasted highly chlorinated, even though it was poured from Bottles that suggested it was something other than tapwater. But as I said, our server was so good and so attentive that I cannot give anything less than five stars.

There was a steady number of people coming in for dinner while I was there. The owner/bartender was super cool and helpful when it came to picking out a quick bite. I ended up trying the chicken pintxo and I had a charcuterie board as well. I'm not as much of a drinker anymore but they had such a great selection of wines here that I would have been able to choose from a wide variety. The chicken pintxo was great. It had a really good flavor. The skewers were shorter which was nice to try to get the food off. The bread was great and they were a really great bite. The charcuterie board had the usual components and I ate it quickly before I could get the photo, but it also had sour patch gummy bears on it which was incredibly cool. I was happy with the cheddar, brie, and assorted meats but the gummy bears made it unique and fun. I will definitely be coming back here to try more of the menu next time.

While the covering does a great job of shielding you from the sun, we discovered that it's not quite sufficient for heavy rain. We ordered a bottle of Montepulciano--a bolder, pleasant wine that paired wonderfully with the stuffed mushrooms and charcuterie board we selected. Although the menu listed the wine as a 2015 vintage, we received a 2019 bottle. The bartender was courteous about the mix-up, and we decided to stick with the 2019. The charcuterie board comes in three sizes, and we opted for the medium one. If you're unsure about the portion sizes, I've included a picture with this review. The charcuterie was an excellent choice, with the olives and cheeses being particular standouts. We also enjoyed the sausage-stuffed mushrooms, which were delicious. Overall, this is a lovely and comfortable place for light snacks and drinks. We look forward to returning in the future.

The waitress was very down to earth and was well informed about the menu. She explained Mira had a small plate concept, they encourage to order a course from each section to share. I'm not going to lie, each dish was phenomenal!! No exaggeration!! And we were actually full afterwards. One friends ordered humus, I have never been a fan. However, that warm and fluffy naan with the perfectly blended humus ( i'm a texture girl) paired with the onions, spices, and oil !!! I was surprisingly pleased!! Honestly i could go on and about each dish we tried because it was just that good. Overall, I'd 100% recommend Mira, it is definetly worth the making the reservation. I would just say be open minded, ask questions as needed and get ready for an amazing culinary experiance. Great service, food comes out quickly and amazing great drink. It was served barely warm, the bacon was mostly burnt, I got little to no cheese in it and the eggs were brownish gray in several parts. The hash browns were $9 for two. Objectively good but they were way too oily and heavy for me (yes, I know hash browns are fried in oil). I also didn't love the setup of brunch. You order at the counter and then pick your own seating. We had several people bringing food and waiting us throughout the meal. I would've preferred one server that we could tip at the end. 3 stars because overall the service was good, the restaurant is beautiful and the $6 croissant was good.
