A Little Lunch That Blew Me Away- Had the most surprising and wonderful lunch at Coco in Buffalo. I sat at the bar, soaking in the chic French-inspired décor, and immediately felt delighted by the space. I ordered the tuna salad on ciabatta, and wow -- it was hands down the best tuna salad I have ever tasted. Each bite was bursting with flavor, especially that bright, zesty hint of lemon. I couldn't stop raving about it as I ate, bite after bite. As far as service, we sat at the bar. The staff was friendly. I honestly don't think I'll ever love a tuna salad more than I did that day at Coco. Cozy, stylish, and absolutely delicious -- I'll be back for sure.

The food was delicious and perfectly prepared. Service was slower than expected due to short staffing, which was clearly not a reflection of our waiter's effort. We felt for him, as he seemed to be managing the entire restaurant--serving as host, waiter, and busser all at once. He was hustling the whole time and did an admirable job under the circumstances. We'd love to return and hopefully enjoy the full experience, including a drink at the bar. Perhaps they were simply short-handed that evening. Based on the quality of the meal, it is definitely worth trying again.

One of my favorite places! This is the perfect place to go with friends after work for happy hour, or you can go the other way and have a nice romantic date Coco's offers it all. I love to sit at the bar at the end to watch all the goings on and sometimes I like to sit in the seats that face out to Main Street with the big picture window. I have never sat in the main dining room for a full meal, but it reminds me of a French restaurant that I used to go to when I lived in Washington DC. Definitely has a city vibe to it. I love going here with friends after work. There's always a great selection of cocktails, wine, and happy hour specials. It's very easy to sit there. Take your time order multiple appetizers off the menu and work your way through the drink specials. You have to be careful lol! I have never felt rushed here, I wouldn't go here if you were in a hurry or trying to get to a show, it's just not that kind of place I have happily munched and drank my way through two hour semi business meetings, as well as happy hour with friends. The flat breads are great. Baked brie, amazing, but hands-down my favorite is the rosemary frite ! They are known for their muscles, but that's just not my thing. There's plenty of other delicious sounding and looking items to choose from. I always have a hard time, deciding on a cocktail because they are very creative and innovative with lots of different flavor profiles. It really just depends on what you are in the mood for. If all else fails, you can settle on a nice size pour of wine. I have never had a bad experience here. It is my go to place In The City.

Ordered togo for lunch and got the Orange is the New Blackened Salad and the Rosemary Frites. First off, everyone was very nice and the place definitely had a chill vibe. The fries were amazing and even though I got the small, the portion was huge. The salad was great, I just wish the greens had some variety lol. I got tired with the spinach leaves. Will be back to try other things!

We came for dinner this weekend. I made a patio reservation, but they moved us inside when our entrees came because the yellow jackets really wanted my steak frites. Can't say I blame them. It was an outstanding meal. The steak was cooked medium rare to order. The rosemary fries with garlic aioli were great, though they did get a little too salty toward the bottom. My husband enjoyed his french onion burger, but the real stars of the show were the drinks. I had Kind of Bleu, a bourbon based cocktail with blueberries and maple syrup. He had a gin based drink with lavender, and liked it so much he ordered a second. He said it was very refreshing. Service was friendly and obviously accommodating. The patio was cute and inviting. We don't blame them for the unwelcome visitors because they're everywhere. The inside of the restaurant is lovely as well.

Stopped by Coco in Buffalo for a lunch date with friends and had a great experience overall! We started with the soup of the day. A rich, flavorful tomato bisque that hit the spot. For my main, I had the turkey sage sandwich with fries. It was decent not bad at all, but not something I'd necessarily rave about. My friends had the French onion burger and the pear chicken salad. The burger got high praise! cooked perfectly and super tasty. The salad was also a hit, light and refreshing with great flavor. We went during lunchtime, and it wasn't too busy. The service was attentive and friendly, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. While lunch was nice, I'd definitely recommend checking this place out for dinner!

Came in without a reservation but they were able to seat us at a high top in the bar area right away. Started with the Kinda Blue bourbon cocktail. It was good. Had the lamb Bolognese for my entree. Good ratio of meat, sauce, and pasta. Hadn't had a Lamb pasta before. It was very good. Also had a glass of Riesling with dinner It was a dry with a touch of acidity, don't remember the winery, and it paired well with the pasta.

The ambiance was nice, and the service was good as well, but the food was horrible. The Brie tasted like a mozzarella stick, the mussels were undercooked and half of them made me worried to eat. Didn't order the pizza but it looked like a digiorno pizza.

Finally went to Coco on a Friday night for a belated Valentine's Day dinner. We had reservations and almost all tables and bar seats were filled so I would recommend making reservations. Ambiance was nice. I was bummed because they were out of mussels. Will definitely be back to try those. We ordered a bottle wine, Swedish meatballs (delicious), French onion soup (salty), and the bread basket for apps. For entrees we got 2 pasta dishes- pappardelle fungji added chicken and I can't find the name of it but it was pasta with chicken cutlet, crispy prosciutto and a light cream sauce. Pastas were very good. We also got a pistachio cake for dessert. It was so good and light!

Once a year Coco has "moules fest". They offer 10 different small dishes with mussels. It is all you can eat. Each serving was approximately 12 mussels. It is served with baguette and steak fries. I started with Provençal, with garlic, tomato, leek and basil. The tomato gave it a refreshing taste, but the leek was a bit overpowering. My second choice was Nordic with horseradish, dill, cream and a little shot glass of Aquavit. Nice and creamy sauce with just a hint of horseradish. You "needed" the baguette to scoop up the extra sauce. Time for my 3rd choice, Japonais. Sale, ginger, tamari, red chili and spring onions. A really great dish with a nice amount of spicy heat. Excellent Okay, one more then. Amour, tomato sauce, sweet vermouth, hot peppers and capers. This one too had a nice spicy heat. My favorites? A toss up between Japonais and Amour. This year's Moules Fest is over, but it will be back next year. I will be back.

"Margherita" pizza but it's only cheese :-/

Came here for late lunch with my work team. There were 7 of us so we were seated at a large family style table which was perfect for us. When our waiter arrived to take our orders, I asked what the soup of the day was and his literal response was, "I just clocked in, I don't know, I'll be back." Okay...so then we ordered and the food arrived in good timing however, we were never checked on again. The water glasses are smaller here so we all finished our drinks during the meal and had to wave someone down to just get water which didn't come until we got the check. I ordered the Margarita Pizza and was disappointed because it was just a regular cheese pizza. I wanted to ask about it but the waiter never returned so I just ate it. My mistake for assuming it would have basil like Margarita pizzas typically have but this was just cheese. Super disappointed for my first time and likely will not return.

What are they doing for restaurant week?

Could someone please wake me they reopen for lunch?

Still not open for lunch 7/21?

4 stars on Yelp, but a very low score on Skip The Dishes Any insights?

I've dined here at least 30 times because I'm obsessed with the food, ambiance and service. I order their pizza from skip the dishes and while it's good, it's not nearly as good as in the restaurant. I think it's only because they're thin crust… Read more

Massive menu of burgers, spanning a range of style from thick to smash, flames to griddle, and even typed of meat or non-meat. Quite frankly, if you can't find a burger that calls to you here, you must be very difficult to please. It was a Sunday, and the general area was thumping, this place was about half full and the vibe was relaxed. They're not on the absolutely main drag of Clifton Hill, and honestly, I would hope that benefits them both in price of rent and who might find it easy to wander in. There is paid parking nearby, cheaper than most because to get down to the falls is a bit of a hike. The hike back will be pretty far uphill, but we made it no problem. I love that the sodas come in a giant measuring cup, not much need for a refill, but they do give them complimentary if you ask for one. We started with standard poutine as an appetizer, it was really tasty. Nice flavor on the gravy, and a large amount of cheese curds. Instead of getting more fries as a side, went for a caesar salad. Was surprised to see bacon on it, but I definitely didn't hate that. It was quite good. I got a double smash burger with a nice thick onion ring on it and their version of burger sauce, as well as a spice relish to kick things up a notch. First thing, my patties were smashed very nicely, and there was a clear crispy crust on them. Bravo, I was pretty impressed, and the flavor was robust. I loved the spicy relish, and the bun also complemented the meat well. It was a big burger, and I was thoroughly satisfied. The service, maybe could have been slightly more attentive, but really just took awhile to take our order. Once it was taken, we had no complaints. Very friendly, everything was accurate, and like I said... big drink cups means not a ton of need for refills. I would come back here again on a future visit to the falls.

This is a busy spot for classic American favorites: burgers, sandwiches and wings. From my previous experience, I knew it's worth checking the menu beforehand. For someone who is trying to make healthier choices, but not salad, this might be a good idea. I remember the last time I had the Classic Grilled Cheese Melt. This time, to avoid beef, bacon, or fried chicken, I decided to substitute a burger with grilled chicken breast for an additional $1. The Frenchie was my choice. I asked for the included Bison dip on the side and added Grilled Cremini Mushrooms for another $1. I simply couldn't find any ready-made combinations that suited my taste. All the burgers, melts and sandwiches come with your choice of fries or tater tots. We waited longer than expected for our food. The restaurant started filling up after we arrived. There were a lot of takeout orders while the dinner rush was starting. They should have a parallel system in the kitchen to keep the dining room moving at its own pace. Anyway, my sandwich was good. The chicken was perfectly grilled. The mushrooms and onions were flavorful, and the provolone cheese was melted and delicious. It's good that I asked to have the Bison dip on the side. We enjoyed the mountain of fries and onion rings (we really liked the breading on the onion rings). The Mac and Cheese was basic, but classic and very tasty. Unfortunately, our feedback on the Steak Hoagie was not so good. It wasn't as expected - a juicy, Buffalo-style, meat and cheese sub. My partner said that too much spice rub made the sandwich salty and dry. It wasn't the experience of dripping, shaved steak covered with lots of melted cheese, grilled peppers and onions. There was none of it. It was dry, smallish and disappointing. Our server Kimora took good care of us. She was smiling, and made our stay very pleasant.
