I ordered the Rosemary Frites, which were a delicious appetizer. I had the maple salmon salad as my meal, and it was amazing! The chèvre was so fresh, the greens were great, and the salmon, wow! A delicious meal that I got two meals out of because I took half of it home, as it's a pretty large portion. Originally, I was given the wrong order that I couldn't have due to dietary restrictions, but the waitress was very kind and gave me the correct one, as well as taking it off of my bill. I really appreciated that! We got macarons as dessert and they were super yummy as well. Basing off of food that we ordered, the best thing we got was the flourless cake Italian pizza was 7/10 I liked the Kalamata olives but they didn't have regular dough so we had to go with gluten free and it was hard Carmelized onion cheeseburger was 5/10. Cheese was hard & it just needed more texture, maybe pickles or something to give the burger some depth. The patties were not medium as ordered but well done and hard . Cozy and lush outdoor back patio. Very nice on a summer evening. I went for dinner and drinks. It took quite a while to get drinks, but the food was average paced. Unfortunately, my chicken was very overcooked and dry. The salad itself was lovely and the dressing was good. Mussels friends had were a bit sandy, which I understand isn't always preventable. Cute place with good menu options for everyone. I took my friend here for his birthday lunch and he absolutely loved the lamb burger and dessert. I tried their pea and prosciutto pizza, which was really good! I loveeee a fat dough with bubbles, but this was more like a thin crust/flat bread. I'm glad I got my peas in! We both ordered the same dessert out of the three options available - some sort of cherry/raspberry pie with ice cream on top. It was too buttery for me, but my friend was obsessed after the first bite. He even ate the crust I left on my plate! Service was great, everything was great. We went to Coco for a girl's dinner. We sat on the patio which was summer cute for a summer night. I ordered the Thai curry mussels and some bourbon mint cocktail and both were really good, only comment on the mussels was all the broth was at the bottom the pot which was really hard to get too and I didn't know it was there until I got half way through the mussels. It's Moules Fest, and even though I was not there for mussels, I enjoyed my steak frites. I had a lovely house salad with tossed greens, grape tomatoes, slivered red onions and crispy parsnips. The French vinaigrette dressing was very nice. My steak frites plate had a very large serving of French fries and a bit more salad with a few pickled onions. I ordered my steak medium rare. About 1/2 of it was medium rare. The other 1/2 was well done. The seasoning was very nice, but disappointed to have well done steak. Our waitress was nicely attentive, as was her assistant who kept our water glasses filled. The restaurant was quite busy, getting busier as we enjoyed our dinners. I am glad we had an early reservation. I might have missed this note on the menu or website, but there is a credit card usage surcharge. Luckily some of our party had enough cash. Coco has been such a staple in Buffalo and I've always had a great experience. I dined here on Saturday and everything just sort of lacked or felt "fine". I know it's a Saturday, so I give a little slack on wait times but between sitting down and receiving our salad it was over 45 minutes and there was a lot of what seemed unnecessary chaos. Finished our cocktails and before we could be asked if we wanted another we were done with our meals. The caesar salad was ...fine. The steak frites did come through, although, the steak was more overcooked then asked for. The french onion burger was overcooked, but they do have some of the best fries around. We had to ask for the check and rush out because I gave the two of us about 2 hours before our Shea's show and it was cutting it close. One of my favorite places! This is the perfect place to go with friends after work for happy hour, or you can go the other way and have a nice romantic date Coco's offers it all. I love to sit at the bar at the end to watch all the goings on and sometimes I like to sit in the seats that face out to Main Street with the big picture window. I have never sat in the main dining room for a full meal, but it reminds me of a French restaurant that I used to go to when I lived in Washington DC. Definitely has a city vibe to it. I love going here with friends after work. There's always a great selection of cocktails, wine, and happy hour specials. It's very easy to sit there. Take your time order multiple appetizers off the menu and work your way through the drink specials. You have to be careful lol! I have never felt rushed here, I wouldn't go here if you were in a hurry or trying to get to a show, it's just not that kind of place I have happily munched and drank my way through two hour semi business meetings, as well as happy hour with friends. The flat breads are great. Baked brie, amazing, but hands-down my favorite is the rosemary frite ! They are known for their muscles, but that's just not my thing. There's plenty of other delicious sounding and looking items to choose from. I always have a hard time, deciding on a cocktail because they are very creative and innovative with lots of different flavor profiles. It really just depends on what you are in the mood for. We came for dinner this weekend. I made a patio reservation, but they moved us inside when our entrees came because the yellow jackets really wanted my steak frites. Can't say I blame them. It was an outstanding meal. The steak was cooked medium rare to order. The rosemary fries with garlic aioli were great, though they did get a little too salty toward the bottom. My husband enjoyed his french onion burger, but the real stars of the show were the drinks. I had Kind of Bleu, a bourbon based cocktail with blueberries and maple syrup. He had a gin based drink with lavender, and liked it so much he ordered a second. He said it was very refreshing. Service was friendly and obviously accommodating. The patio was cute and inviting. Stopped by Coco in Buffalo for a lunch date with friends and had a great experience overall! We started with the soup of the day. A rich, flavorful tomato bisque that hit the spot. For my main, I had the turkey sage sandwich with fries. It was decent not bad at all, but not something I'd necessarily rave about. My friends had the French onion burger and the pear chicken salad. The burger got high praise! cooked perfectly and super tasty. The salad was also a hit, light and refreshing with great flavor. We went during lunchtime, and it wasn't too busy. Ambiance was nice. I was bummed because they were out of mussels. Will definitely be back to try those. We ordered a bottle wine, Swedish meatballs (delicious), French onion soup (salty), and the bread basket for apps. For entrees we got 2 pasta dishes- pappardelle fungji added chicken and I can't find the name of it but it was pasta with chicken cutlet, crispy prosciutto and a light cream sauce. Once a year Coco has "moules fest". They offer 10 different small dishes with mussels. It is all you can eat. Each serving was approximately 12 mussels. It is served with baguette and steak fries. I started with Provençal, with garlic, tomato, leek and basil. The tomato gave it a refreshing taste, but the leek was a bit overpowering. My second choice was Nordic with horseradish, dill, cream and a little shot glass of Aquavit. Nice and creamy sauce with just a hint of horseradish. You "needed" the baguette to scoop up the extra sauce. Time for my 3rd choice, Japonais. Sale, ginger, tamari, red chili and spring onions. A really great dish with a nice amount of spicy heat. Excellent Okay, one more then. Amour, tomato sauce, sweet vermouth, hot peppers and capers. This one too had a nice spicy heat. My favorites? A toss up between Japonais and Amour. Came here for late lunch with my work team. There were 7 of us so we were seated at a large family style table which was perfect for us. When our waiter arrived to take our orders, I asked what the soup of the day was and his literal response was, "I just clocked in, I don't know, I'll be back." Okay...so then we ordered and the food arrived in good timing however, we were never checked on again. The water glasses are smaller here so we all finished our drinks during the meal and had to wave someone down to just get water which didn't come until we got the check. Was so excited to eat leftovers the next day (which were 1/2 of mine and my husband's dinners) only to open our doggy bag and find someone else's food. I called the restaurant to advise them of their mistake. They were very apologetic and sincere. She asked what we ate and asked if we would like to pick up a gift card. Living over a 1/2 hour away I really wasn't going to do this. She quickly offered to mail one and took all of my information.
