This is a cozy supermarket/restaurant that offers variety of Burek, grill, platters, and roasted meat. You can also buy cold deli, dairy products, snacks, frozen meat and burek, coffee, etc. from here. We ordered Chevap's (10p pieces) and cheese burek for our meal and Cupavi and Jabukova (they both include apples) for dessert. The portions of Chevap's were more than enough for one person; they comecwith onions and garlic sauce and 10 pieces would be $13.72. As for the Burek and desserts, they're priced according to their weight. The staff were friendly and patient with us, since we didn't know what to order. I also liked the vibe there; mostly senior people from their community come together here for a chat.

The schnitzel was gigantic, the size was bigger than my head lol, I ordered the pork schnitzel, it was perfectly brown yet inside wasn't dry at all^^ and i chose the potato salad for the side, it was delicious, ultra creamy, and well seasoned. The staff and the owner are very nice and friendly, I would definitely going back there again!

That's when you get to really taste the flavour. When it comes to khinkali, this is where I got disappointed. I did not like the texture of the dough and I found the beef filling to be lacking in flavour and portion size. Khinkali from Tiflisi (1970 Queen St East, Toronto) and Sarko (1480 Major MacKenzie Dr West, Maple) taste better in my subjective opinion. I can't wait to go back and try their lulu chicken shashlik (kebab). I saw them making it for another customer and the skewer looked juicy with plenty of meat. Honestly, this place is a true gem. I'll be coming here every time I'm in that area. SERVICE: The people working there made a positive impression on me. They're really nice, courteous, and hardworking. AMBIANCE: This is your typical fast-food place with a counter and several tables to sit at. It's not very spacious. There are, I think, 5 or 6 tables in total. It's fine when you're passing by and want to stop by for a bite, but doing takeout and enjoying their food at home makes more sense to me.

Yeah... that's a thing! LOL! Look... if you are looking for some great eats, look no further than this place. The Armenian Bistro. I've been here a few times now and this time, I was here because something bad happened and I needed a pick-me-up that no alcohol can do - it's gotta be food! I've tried the whole gambit of foods here but I always go back to their Tonir (Tandoori) foods. They have this amazing oven that just sears and cooks their meats to perfection. For lunch this time, I got myself their Pork Shashlik with Rice and Grilled Veggies. Perfection in each juicy bite and it really hit the spot! I was supposed to be somewhere else but plans fell apart and this place was my Pick-Me-UP and it did not disappoint. The owner and staff here are amazing. Helpful, friendly, and knows how to get you a great meal each time! OH.. BTW - they make things to order, so if you want your food dying at a hot table, this is not the place ... then again, if that's how you want your food, there must be a Crown or Clown Food somewhere you can go. For the rest of us that savour each moment we have to ourselves to enjoy a bite... you can't beat a great home style meal. If you have a chance to go through my pix of the place and there are a lot, you will see that I really love this place. Next time... the dumplings... !!! CHEERS!!!

Very spacious for group dining, couples or solo! I definitely wanted to try the Shopska salad and the Cevapi (chevapi) plate so that's what I ordered and it did not disappoint!! It comes with a fresh cheese called kajmak (k-eye-mak) The cevapi plate comes with your choice of 3 sides - coleslaw with oil/vinegar, potatoes, diced raw onions, or baked beans. Everything was fantastic. The cevapi were perfectly done. Lepinja and kajmak were amazing. Kajmak is home-made there, and you can buy some to go! We ordered lepinja sa kajmakom, which was a homestyle bread with cream cheese. This was the star dish of the night omg, priced at $5 for 4 pieces it instantly set the meal in the right direction! We then got the shopska salad which was a salad with tomato, cucumber, onion, green pepper, and feta. Salad was mid, but it was nice to have greens as our main was the mesano meso, a grilled meat platter for 4. This platter was so filling and had different varieties of meats. The best meat in this selection was the sausage, I unfortunately found everything else a little lacklustre. Service was great throughout the night, ambiance was nothing super special. Verdict: come for the homestyle bread!! Still thinking about it haha

It's tough to decide where to start, but the cevapi can be scooped up frozen to take home or made to order atop a fresh lepinje bun. This place uses only veal, beef and lamb, leaving out the pork you get at other places around the city. Make sure you scoop up some of their meat burek - you'll thank me later. Fresh, flaky, moist and delicious, it's the best burek I've tried in as long as I can remember. The meats behind the butcher's counter look terrific, the fresh baked lepinje are bagged and available to take home, and the in-house kaymak is a show-stopper. My kid ate them and was so full, he refused a pizza at a birthday party some time later. At the same time, syrnyky (19 CAD for three) were a disgrace. Too sweet and sour and almost inedible. I'd suggest making them twice less sweet and get rid of the sour sauce. The restaurant is quite pretentious too! We walked in after the High Park and the waiter immediately said we have to have a reservation, only to then immediately say that we can indeed sit down. - But I understand. This is typical "Eastern European hospitality". Overall, they are trying to be a posh place, but the flavours are not quite there yet. The dishes are one-dinensional, if you will, or 2D. I'd rather have a homey restaurant with really good food.

This restaurant was Ukrainian style, good location in Downtown Toronto. Their website was updated to reflect new dishes and menu. We booked a reservation at 11:30am on Saturday, and they only allowed to stay for 2 hours (the waitress told us we could stay until 1:30pm when we arrived around 11:45). The lunch winterlicious included 1 of 3 Appetizers, 1 of 3 mains, 1 of 3 desserts. We got a Pork soup (Borscht), deep fried chicken (Schnitzel), and honey cake with customized caramel walnuts. We also ordered Deruny Benedict with Smoke Salmon. The soup was coming with some bread and sour cream, but a bit salty for us. As an appetizer, it was ok. The Benedict with Smoke Salmon, somehow the smoke salmon was fishy that the pancake at the bottom was also fishy. Salad within the Benedict and the sauce were great. The fried chicken was no sauce, it was a bit dry for me. At last, the honey cake came in the middle of our meal, too early. There was walnut on it, we didn't realize until see it, my little one has allergy with nuts, we didn't ask at the beginning. About their service, when we just arrived, she mentioned 2 hours limit for the dining period. I feel like she doesn't want us to stay, because we have a kid that we might not able to finish our lunch in 2 hours, or we might occupy the table too long. As first time comer, she didn't ask if we have any allergies. Lucky that we caught it. We finished within 50mins, still have enough time to go washroom and pay the bill. But we have to watch the time. Maybe we would like to relax a bit more next time.

They were incredibly fresh, a great size, and absolutely delicious. At $4 each they're definitely on the pricey side, but if you're planning a visit, Wednesday after 5 p.m. is the best time to go for their half-price oyster special. We also ordered the burrata paired with their focaccia bread, which was very good. While it wasn't the best burrata I've ever had, it was still a solid 4/5 and worth ordering. The bread alone was very tasty and fresh. The truffle parmesan fries were a bit of a letdown (3/5). They came topped with a very thick, mayo-based sauce that wasn't the most appetizing. I think I'd have enjoyed them much more if the sauce had been served on the side for dipping, but that's just my personal preference. The cocktails were a mixed bag. The Sunset Skies was easily our favourite and one I'd happily order again. Unfortunately, the High Noon wasn't for me--it had a very floral flavour that I found unpalatable. What really made the experience exceptional was the service. Our server was incredibly attentive and noticed that I hadn't touched my High Noon cocktail. Without hesitation, they offered to replace it with another drink of my choice and removed the original cocktail from our bill. That level of attentiveness and customer service really stood out. Overall, the food was enjoyable, the cocktails had a standout winner, and the service was outstanding. I'd definitely return, especially for the oysters on Wednesday evenings. Service was a 5/5.

The lobster was quite chewy & unappealing so for the price I was expecting a lot more. The bathroom stall was a mess with pee all over the floor.
