Our experience was nothing short of phenomenal! Every detail and aspect of our evening was perfect. The food was amazing - one of the best dinners, if not THE best dinner I have ever had. The team was warm, welcoming and very helpful with selections. There was no pretentiousness amongst the crew and this really stood out and allowed us to truly enjoy ourselves. We chose the set menu as it was our first time here - it was a lot of food but the best way to experience the many flavors and dishes that make this restaurant so wonderful. My husband added the wine pairing and felt it was perfectly paired to the dishes and the sommelier did a nice job explaining the selections with each dish. We loved everything and will definitely be back.

My husband and I visited during our honeymoon from America, and this was our first dinner after arriving in London. We booked about two months in advance, and even with a late 10:30pm reservation, we were excited to make it special. The food was good, but for a 2-Michelin-star restaurant, it felt simpler than we expected. The space is quite small, with tables very close together, which made the seating a bit uncomfortable and limited table space for the dishes. Service was pleasant, and while the pricing is expected for a Michelin restaurant, the overall experience didn't quite feel worth it for us. We truly wanted to love it, but it didn't fully meet our expectations for such a special occasion.

Ambiance: Understanding that this is a Michelin Star Restaurant, it feels very cozy. Service: Service was excellent. Everyone was so welcoming. Food: Everything we got here was tasty. There truly wasn't a bad dish we got & we ordered items our server recommended. If you're dairy free, there's plenty of items you can get. I would highly recommend this restaurant anytime you're in town.

As someone who has been to India before, Gymkhana was some of the best Indian food that I ever had. I recommend making reservation ahead of time and going in for the lunch tasting menu. I went on a Friday and the restaurant was fully booked. Keep in mind that with lunch, you can save a few pounds especially compared to dinner. Additionally, the service and ambiance were all excellent with my waiter doing a wonderful job walking me through the menu. A pro tip: definitely order some chopped chilis on the side if you care to add some extra spice. I will for sure be back to Gymkhana the next time I am in London. I plan on splurging and trying the dinner tasting menu next time.

We were lucky enough to secure a lunch reservation and decided to do their lunch menu. It was definitely a feast since we were able to try different items so I would definitely arrive hungry. If you're dining with someone, definitely take advantage of the lunch menu and order all different items so you have a variety of dishes to try. We did arrive about 20 minutes early but they were able to seat us right away. The portions were quite large for us that we ended up taking boxes back to our hotel. I definitely recommend coming here for lunch because 1) you don't need to put down 100/per person deposit and 2) lunch menu serves large portions and there's a option to order a la carte as well!! More lunch reservations do open closer to the date but you'll need to check constantly and book immediately.

One of my top favorite meals of all time, not just in London! My bf was able to snag a reservation and we were so excited to eat here. The interior of the restaurant is really unique and intimate, and the servers were all so nice. We didn't do the set menu, and ordered a la cart. Chicken Butter Masala - the creamiest, most flavorful masala ever. It also comes with 3 types of naan, my favorite is the first one. Chicken Tikka - really tender chicken. Like quite possibly the tenderest I've ever had. Patiala Fried Chicken - our server warned us it is spicy, I thought it was just ok but the heat does build. It's so good tho! I think about this from time to time. My bf cannot handle spice and did think this was too spicy, but also thought it was good. Our Server was so nice he brought out some yogurt sauce for him to kill the spice. Aloo Chaat - I forgot what thjs was, but remember it's really creamy and yummy. A recommendation from our server. Pearl of India drink - passion fruit with sparkling jasmine tea. super refreshing. They're opening another location in New York (and Vegas?) sometime this year or next. I hope they open one in OC/LA. I can't wait to dine here again!

As a Punjabi, I am so happy I got a reservation here and got to try the food. Absolutely delicious and by far authentic to what Punjabi food tastes like flavor wise. It's such a posh interior and definitely felt regal. I enjoyed every item I ordered on the menu and hope to be back again to try the others as well.

Reservation was worth the wait. Food was delightful. So many favorites but if I had to choose, it would be the butter chicken, paneer and the lamb - mouth watering! We had the private room and while beautiful and intimate, I would have preferred the energy of the main dining room.

This was my first time dining at a Michelin star restaurant and it was one of the best meals of my life. I can see why they have 2 Michelin stars. The interior is intimate and beautiful. Everything is a nod to British Imperialism in India from the decor to the menu. The staff were absolutely incredible. Instead of a dedicated server, everyone served us as they saw a need. They gave us fresh plates, swept up crumbs, and refilled water constantly. It was truly exceptional. To drink, I got the Pegu Club, which featured gin, lime, grapefruit, Campari, and Sabo hops. It was sweet, tart, and perfectly balanced. We did the lunch menu. We started off with the pappadam selection which was served with a variety of chutneys. Each was excellent. I especially loved the mint and prawn chutneys. They also brought out a chick pea potato dish to share that was delicious. Next, I had the Kasoori chicken tikka, which was incredibly herbaceous and so tender. It was served with a delightful sweet yogurt that paired perfectly. Next, I enjoyed the Goan prawn curry, which had huge tender prawns and a thick coconut curry sauce. I enjoyed it with an assortment of other dishes ordered by people at my table and everything was lovely. At the end of the meal. They brought out these pretty sweets. They were delicate, nutty, and had fennel, anise, and other spices. I was truly amazed by the entire experience and would love to come back some day.

Lamb briyani, butter chicken, pork cheek vindaloo

Gymkhana is easily some of the best Indian food I've ever had. Food: Every single dish was a 10/10. We ordered the aloo chaat, baby goat keema, tiger prawns, butter chicken, pork cheek vindaloo, and lamb biryani. Each one was packed with flavor, perfectly spiced, and felt elevated while still authentic. Ambiance: Dark, intimate, and upscale but still comfortable. Great spot for a date night or a memorable dinner. Service: Really attentive and knowledgeable. They guided us through the menu and checked in at the right times without being overbearing. Overall: One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Gymkhana absolutely lives up to the hype and I'd come back in a heartbeat.

Gymkhana is a definitely must try when visiting London. It was my first time going to a two Michelin star restaurant. I was able to secure a Friday night reservation and I had a wonderful experience. My group started off with the kid goat methi keema, which was my favorite dish. It was a meat version of pav bhaji and was savory with the perfect spice level. We also ordered the lamb chops which were absolutely delicious. For dinner we ordered the butter chicken and dal maharani. Those were standard but still delicious. We celebrated my husband's birthday there and they surprised us with a birthday dessert and a card, which we thought was very sweet. A pricey dinner but overall my experience was great.

Glad I was able to make a reservation while visiting London! One of the best Indian food I've had so far! Everything we order was fresh , aromatic and flavorful not overly heavy/oily! Services was attentive but a little slow for my vibe! I I thought the lightly was a little darken otherwise glad they are coming to the US!

One of the main reasons I came to visit London was to try this restaurant, I succeeded and excelled my expectations!! Hands down THE best Indian food I've ever had outside India. This restaurant is an absolute gem in London's dinning scene. You would think that since it is a Michelin-starred restaurant the dishes would be fancy or pompous but instead they effortlessly combine traditional flavors in a creative delicious way. Every dish carefully crafted and presented. Dishes like the bread sample, papadam and panipuri are great to start with. The panipuri was my absolute favorite! The taste of those crunchy little pillows with the sauce inside was an explosion in your mouth. We also had the lamb chops, butter chicken, aloo chaat and Jumbo shrimp. Everything amazing but if you ask me the aloo chaat was outstanding! The broccoli was also delicious, with a little kick of spice. We got seated on the ground floor which had a classic decor with a dim light that created a cozy atmosphere. The service was extraordinary and made the experience more special.

Can you tell I don't get out much? At least for drinks. Anyway. We came here with some friends and took advantage of their 2 for 1 offer (meaning you get two drinks for 10 pounds). It impressed me that they served really good drinks for such a good price. I personally loved The Last Word (super strong but great flavour) and the Elderflower Margarita (YUM!). They both packed a punch but weren't so overpowered with liquor that they didn't taste nice. The bar staff was fun as well. The one that wasn't popular was the honey one. I can't remember the name but none of us liked it. It's a cool bar!

I was gonna give this place 3 stars, but on reflection of the whole experience it's a definite 2,…read more2.5 at an absolute push. And I don't give out 2 stars lightly. This was one of the few places the bf and I had booked to go to during a brief 3-day trip to London, due to the 2 for £10 cocktails and general good reviews it had. I kinda wish we hadn't! Upon arrival the place was practically empty (but it was like bang on 6pm on a Monday, so a lot of people hadn't arrived for happy hour yet) and staff showed us where our reserved booth was. All good to start off with, the place looks pretty cool inside and the tunes were good too. Here's where it starts to go downhill. I skipped up to the bar having decided with the bf which cocktails to get (at this point we didn't realise 2 for £10 meant two of the SAME cocktail, because they never mention it) and ordered a Strawberry Daiquiri for the bf, plus a Chocolate Martini for myself. Nope, couldn't get the one I wanted as they were out of chocolate liqueur, so it was back to my seat to try and decide on another. I was gutted but excited about my next choice, the Show Me The Honey. NOPE. They were out of honey vodka so I couldn't have that one either! I get that obviously it's a busy bar at weekends, but I thought that was an extremely poor show - the staff weren't hugely apologetic about it either which didn't exactly help. Finally deciding on a Russian Spring Punch (yay, they had all the ingredients for that one!) I ordered the drinks. The bartender said "you know it's 2 for £10 yeah?" but again didn't mention the fact that it's two of the same cocktail for £10. Once he started making up the drinks I of course caught on to what was happening, whereupon he looked at me like I was an idiot for not knowing something they never openly tell you. Great. I begrudgingly paid for our drinks (I wouldn't really have minded except the bf wasn't sure if he'd want more than one cocktail and we now possessed four, plus I was really wanting to try a couple of cocktails instead of two of the same one) and went back to the booth, more than a bit deflated by this point. The cocktails were...fine. The champagne in my cocktail wasn't the nicest but it did the job of course. The atmosphere in the bar was...also fine. But that was it. Fine. It stayed pretty quiet the whole time we were there and I guess just wasn't the whole cocktail bar experience I was expecting. We then made our way to Cahoots where we had an absolute belter of a time and it totally saved our night, goes to show that sometimes you really do get what you pay for!

I'm not sure how close this bar is to Brazilian nightlife, but to me this bar feels typically Brazilian in cadence. I just love the atmosphere, the enthusiasm, the music, you feel transported to another place and I just don't understand how very few people, even those living in Camden, don't know about this bar! I was introduced by a lovely Yelp friend and try and get back whenever I'm in Camden as I really love this place. To me this is one of Camden's real hidden gems. So why do I love it? Let me count the ways: Live music: I'm not sure if there is someone on every night, but I'm always shocked by them hosting some fantastic, extremely talented musicians. Intimate setting: As a tiny little venue you huddle around small tables, it feels cozy, personable and warm. Art work: Walls, ceilings and tables are plastered with art, pictures, paintings collages drape all surfaces. It's like some hipster arty underground cavern... like so many bars in Shoreditch are trying to achieve, but this place isn't trying, it has charm and personality without having to try. Caipirinhas and mojitos: Using traditional Brazilian ingredients the cocktails here are just superb... and after a few you can't help but sink back into your seat and enjoy the ambiance. I'd also recommend the Cuba Libra, I'm usually not a fan, but would make an exception here. As a cocktail bar you need to expect to pay cocktail prices, but the live music, amazing atmosphere and art are free.

Apparently the owners want it to feel like someone's living room and it definitely has a relaxed and locals-come-here vibe, although our seating area was in what was once a VIctorian police cell, which was probably less cosy back in the day. The interesting concept here is to serve small bites of food tailored to each house cocktail which a beautifully presented and explained, as are the cocktails themselves. We sampled almost all of the house cocktail menu and generally everyone was very impressed. I think several people really liked the park bench, with its strong apple flavour, although I personally found it a bit one-note. In fact, I wouldn't say any of the cocktails here got it quite right for my palate, some of the balancing of flavours didn't quite work for me and none of them particularly blew me away. They were pretty good, but there weren't any I found incredibly delicious and "incredibly delicious" is really what I am looking for in a cocktail. I had the Get Me a Bourbon, I'm Hungry and Lost in Alaska. The first was a short drink which wasn't massively memorable, contra my favourite ever bourbon cocktail, the fantastic bourborini once on the specials at Pitt Cue Co. Lost in Alaska I thought was nice although others said they thought it tasted medicinal! Service was great - helpful, patient and attentive. It's expensive, especially now I live in Manchester and can get better cocktails at the Fitzgerald for £4 less, but I would still recommend Knowhere Special, especially if you're nearby having dinner.
