We dined at Tamarind with our family while visiting London, and both this restaurant and Dishoom were exceptional. Indian food here is definitely a notch above what we usually get in the U.S. We enjoyed lamb kebabs, daal, potatoes, a chicken dish, and naan, all paired with wine and cocktails. The food was incredible, and the service was top-notch. The restaurant was also very accommodating to my wife's allergies, which we greatly appreciated.

I recommend making a reservation and coming here with at least with other person to maximize tasting menus and/or dishes of interest since everything comes a la carte. Although, you can't go wrong ordering butter chicken and naan! Pros -Stunning, high-end ambiance -Kind and attentive staff -Desi inspired cocktails -Multiple tasting menus to accommodate various diets -All meats that I tried (salmon, chicken, and lamb) were delicate and moist Cons -Yellow Dal lacked flavors/lentils

Tamarand is a must whether you're a new or seasoned Indian foodie. Beautiful restaurant and friendly service. We're new to Indian so ordered the basics and some appetizers like paneer and sea bass. Both blew us away. Butter chicken was incredible, garlic and cheese naan both essential. With how difficult it is to get into popular Indian restaurants in the city we got super lucky to walk in without a reservation, but I suggest reservations even on weekdays if you can.

My husband and I chanced upon this and Yelpers just confirmed it. Amazing! This place transformed me from a non-Indian food eater to one! I never liked Indian cuisine but while In London, it's not to be missed. Server Clayton was very helpful and recommended us some dishes. As he puts it ... "if you don't like it, I'll bring it home!" With that we had the Soft Shell Crab, Wild Tandoori Green Prawn, Chargrilled Lamb Chops, Old Delhi Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan Bread. Needless to say, Clayton had nothing to bring home!

While in London, I was craving Indian food and stumbled upon this gem. Everything from service to the food was spectacular. I'm so glad that we found this place as I as able to scratch the craving itch. Mango Lassi, grilled sea bass, raj kajori, lassoni palek, the garlic naan, lamb shank and goan shrimp curry was thoroughly enjoyed and if we were able to lick the bowls, we would have done so. This is definitely on my return list for the next time I'm in town.

India was once a UK colony, I genuinely believe it was it for this restaurant to exist. As you can tell by looking slightly to the left, I'm a man of indian persuasion - and let me tell you this may be the best indian meal I've ever had. Oh my lord, first off: the drinks are spectacular especially if you like spicy ones like the Kashmiri Chilli Bourbon or Pink Peppercorn Margarita. Food-wise the star of the show was the Old Delhi Butter Chicken, it's a common dish but nothing has quite nailed this level of spices with a surprising sweet tang. The Kadai Paneer was also excellent along with the Kaali Daal - a healthy lentil dish. Don't feel sorry for yourself for missing out on this culinary experience and come to the restaurant led by the chef who created the world's first Michelin Star Indian restaurant, it's truly a lifetime experience.

We tried the tasting menu and it was fantastic. Great service and ambience as well. All the it's were well made and the staff explained each items as it came in

Love this place. May I strongly suggest you get the slow cooked lamb shank?! It just falls off the bone and so tender. You will not regret it. Also the lettuce with avocado and mango- delicious. If things are too spicy order the mango lassi drink - although it's not as cold so I dropped a few of my drinks ice cubes in there We get the vegetable kebabs which was not what I was expecting but good. The butter chicken was good too but get the lamb shank!!!!!

Terrible service since the waitress messed up the order and we were charged for 2 entrees. She refused to take one of the items off.

It's a little unassuming family run restaurant but with serious intent from the kitchen. I was offered a table in the main dining room or the garden when I walked in - as we are in the middle of 'Wimbledon week showers', I chose to dine indoors. The menu was written in impressively authentic sounding terms but closer inspection revealed some fusion going on - lemongrass, tumeric and enoki mushrooms being amongst the ingredients on show. I'm up for a bit of fusion as long as it doesn't end in con-fusion! Having confirmed that I was hungry, the helpful waiter suggested getting 3 dishes. I couldn't help myself and went for the fusion sounding dishes. Panceta con cidra was pork belly, rolled and marinated with garlic, black pepper and dill, braised in Asturian cider. I zoom in pork belly whenever I see it and this version has been slowly cooked to melting tenderness with the dill coming through strongly - it didn't need the wedge of lemon which came with it and I enjoyed it as it arrived. Pollo a la plancha del Parador were a pair of chicken thighs marinated in lemon grass, turmeric, garlic & coriander and cooked on the plancha (grill). I prefer dark meat as it remains moist and the oriental kick wasn't too overwhelming. When the waiter said the Higadillos Salteados (chicken livers with Iberico Jamon, enoki mushrooms, shallots, black pepper and butter) would be served pink inside, I smiled - nice to see a restaurant willing to serve food as it should be cooked and not pander to squeamish guests. These were a delight and to get some Iberico ham from acorn-fed pigs was a bonus. This is tapas of the highest order, given a little twist. A little Yelp gem which deserves its high star rating.

Situated on quite a quiet street, it is well worth taking a visit. With a choice of over 40 tapas, all very well priced and utterly delicious. Your choice of dish will flirt wildly with all senses and deliver all promises. I am always very happy to find a restaurant which has a diverse yet experienced selection of fish. El Parador specialises in scallops, Halibut, and crab... although they were many others still left to be tried. The interior Decor, to me seemed rather french with little white table clothes and a smart yet gentle ambience. The wine list was impressive to say the least, with over 30 bottles of wine, in the price range of £13-30, with over 15 available by glass. The lunchtime menu has a special offer of 3 tapas for the price of two.
