I reserved table for two ppl in Cinamon Kitchen yesterday lunch time. The cloakroom service was one of the few positives. First, I was waiting to being served (got the manu) for 15 minutes. Then, when I finally ordered my lunch, after 45 minutes I got a starter which was for another table. Then, the waiter brought me not the main dish I ordered, it was for my colleague. He had to wait another 10 minutes so my dish would be delivered as well. In total I spent 1,5 hour for 2 courses lunch. Too much chaotic for me. Although food quality was good, I would not recommend this place during peak hours.

Had Lucknow biryani. Was delicious. The chicken tikka naan wasn't worth it. The 24 hour cooked lentil is delicious. So that's a must try. The Bombay street snacks were good. They also have us a complimentary appraiser with potatoes and that was delicious too. Overall good food.

Haven't been to Cinnamon Kitchen for ages, but took my friends there last week, as they were visiting from out of town. The good news? The food was just as spectacular as I remembered. The service was a bit meh, but I was too busy focusing on my delicious selection of breads (sweet AND savoury naans - YAAS!) and chutneys (the pea chutney is amazing) to really take note. Honestly, even if you're craving a starter? GET THE BREAD. No matter what. My starter of Kerala-style stir-fried prawns were both generous in size and piping hot, which was impressive. One of my pet peeves is eating luke-warm food that's been left out for too long before being served (it might have helped that we beat the after-work rush by booking in early - think 6:30). By the time I reached my lamb biryani, I was embarrasingly full and had to ask for a box to take away (which I never do in restaurants, but had to in this case!). The lamb was succulent and tender, and the biryani the perfect comfort food. Of course, I couldn't resist my dessert of gold-leaf adorned kulfi, which caused the gentlemen at the next table to lean over and enquire, "Sorry to be nosy, but that looks fantastic - what IS that?!" That good, folks. And at the moment, they're running a 3 courses for £30 promotion. Too good to be true, except it *was* excellent.

Cinnamon Kitchen was great, lovely location, service, and very good food. The fish especially (the bream, the sea bass and the prawn- yeah, I like my little water friends) was outstanding, as was the spice rubbed chicken. Now...Dessert you ask? The Carrot cake and the ice cream milky cubes were good, but the profiteroles are DIVINE and when I say divine, I mean... I cried a little. They are out of this world good, with a spiced caramel gooey sauce on top, and a not-too-sweet cheese filling that made me see God and forget all about my macros and my weight lifting for twelve minutes. It was outstanding. I'd go back just for that. Dinner for six was £375

We love Indian food and were excited to try a fusion approach. We've been in India many times and love the food there. We started with the appetizer sampler (not on the menu), variety of breads, and the chilled tomato soup with tropical fruit sorbet. The breads were interesting but disappointing (two types of naan and one paratha-like bread). The appetizer sampler had a few very good ones and some fine ones (nothing was bad). The chutneys that came with everything were pea, tomato, and a "spicy" one that was not spicy. For entrees, we had Rajasthani red deer in curry (served a true medium rare as we requested) and prawns with a masala chutney side. Both were very good. Would have loved to try the norweigan crab (one claw for 18GBP) and African wild prawn (around 30GBP) but too expensive for a dish you don't even know the preparation of and it was only our first visit so we wanted to focus on the more Indian dishes. Overall, we found the food to be mild and wondered if they serve it that way because that's all the spice an average Brit can handle. The mango lassi was nicely not too sweet but had a good yogurt tartness. The most enjoyable part was eating outside on the patio while the World Cup game was playing on a big screen. We enjoyed the cheering and the weather was perfect for eating out. If I were to recommend it to a friend, it would be to sit outside and to have good (not amazing) and creative food. I do have to say the service needs improvement. We got soup but no spoon and a few episodes like that throughout the meal. I also recommend more details on the menu because the preparation of many of the items was not at all explained on the menu or by the waiter. I would like to know what type of curry and spices will be used (not just red deer and "curry').

Really impressed with the service, menu and cocktails. Quality Indian food with a modern twist. Tables are well spaced out with a lovely outdoor area also (under the main courtyard glass roof - screw the weather!) Service is efficient and not over bearing, but still takes care of you! There's also the bar attached to make it a longer evening.

We came here for dinner last Tuesday. I was pretty excited about it but left a little bit underwhelmed. We had mixed Indian starters, which was really good, particularly the prawn and the salmon. We had fish curry and vegetable korma for mains, with black lentils and aubergines for side dishes. We also had a mixed selection of breads and some rice. All of the dishes were good and we finished the lot, but - based on the price, and what I'd heard and read about this place, we were expecting them to be incredible. Which they weren't. We also weren't massive fans of the setting. It felt like we were eating in an overly well lit big school assembly hall surrounded by shouty recruitment consultants. So overall it was good but also disappointing.

Nibbles at the cinnamon kitchen for Play Holi in the City event.

The venue is stylishly decorated and in my opinion would be an amazing location for a work do or a romantic meal. I think I'll be coming back to try out some main courses with my fiancé as they looked absolutely gorgeous! The cocktails are from £10 each (with one special cocktail on offer) and a beer is about £4. The cocktails were absolutely gorgeous (very sweet), and considering the area I'd say that the drinks were at an average price. We had a platter of holi inspired nibbled which were beautifully presented and just as delicious. I was slightly disappointed with the waiting staff however, who took absolutely ages to serve or even acknowledge my presence at the bar. There was even an incident where either a staff member or a guest was clearly very angry and they all just laughed her out the building. It was really unprofessional and awkward. The event I attended was really fun and the staff were very helpful and gave clear instructions. I wish we had more than a bag of paint each (plus a few leftovers to share) but regardless everyone really seemed to enjoy themselves. Protective gear was provided for clothes and shoes (though I recommend putting on two sets as the paint powder does make its way through). The paint was good quality but just brushed off my clothes and did not stain.

Delicious food and great service. I had the tandoori trio with garlic naan which was wonderful and was the perfect amount of food for one person. My husband had the pork ribs and loved them. The drinks were great and everyone was really nice. Overall I had a great experience. Not sure what people are complaining about in the other reviews but this is a great stop for Indian flavor!

We had a party of 13 so I understand there would be somewhat of a wait and that the whole Dining experience might take a while. We dined on a Tuesday night and the place was quite busy! It took at least 30 minutes from sitting down to get our drinks and another 10 on top of that for them to bring out some bottles of water. It seemed like our server was training someone new. They could have been more efficient, but it took a long time for them both to go around the table and enter in our orders. We were at a work after hours function so we all ordered from the 3 courses for 45 quid option. All of the starters sounded good, but I was slightly disappointed in the drunken dumplings as there were only 2, but the presentation was cool with them pouring the broth into the bowl at the table. I wish I had ordered the cheddar and shrimp toasties as they looked quite good! This place has awesome & fun cocktails, hence the Alchemist name. I didn't realize this at first so ordered a Mai Tai which was not nearly as exciting as some of what my colleagues ordered. Second time around I ordered the red zombie which came out smoking with a test tube vial of absinthe to add in! Definitely cool, but also a bit strong. I had the ribeye steak for my main. It was delicious! The cauliflower and potatoes very good too. Had the next level chocolate brownie for dessert. My only thought is it could have used a bigger scoop of ice cream compared to the size of the brownie but it was delicious! So good, in fact, that I had to finish every last crumb. The ambiance was nice. The bathroom was clean, but a little hard to locate. All in all, I would definitely come back if in the area again.

At the time, we did not know it was a chain, but in any case it was unimpressive. It was not terrible but it was not very good, ultimately just ok. The place had some nice decor elements but seemed very much like an loud party place for drinkers who don't really know about drinks but want to seem sophisticated and have fun. I had the seasonal Fairytale of New York, which was the best of the lot, in part because it had no juice or other mixers like that. I often go with drinks along that line if I don't know the place. I then had the Scotch Mist, which was not as good. But it had grenadine, pineapple, and citrus, so there as the problem: it had too much of those and not enough of the Scotches. My wife had the Flyaway, tequila-based, and found it ok but too watery, juicy, and weak. Again, it had juices in it. Our daughter had a dirty martini which was not good. It had kalamata olives, which we took to be an attempt to seem fancy or avant garde, but which simply didn't work in a martini. This was not terrible but basically just an ok,somewhat crass cocktail place for people who want to seem sophisticated and "have fun" with loud music, etc., but don't really know anything about drinks. I can see this filling the role for people like that, but I would never go here again.
