This place is a very trendy Asian fusion place with a hip decor and cool designs on the walls. The tables are high, and there's also bar style seating to watch the chefs cook which I thought was nice. The food was pretty good, I loved the sticky eggplant and they have some really good Sake here. I didn't like the grilled cauliflower pr grilled broccoli, it was too sour for my taste and had to eat it with mayo to make it easier. The salmon tataki was good, although sliced very thin compared to what regular Japanese restaurants do, too thin for tataki. The service was good and the atmosphere was very chic. However it was extremely expensive and the food although looked good, did not taste that great. My partner ordered ribs and there was very little meat on them as well. The menu is quite limited. Overall a chic and trendy Asian restaurant with good service but very expensive and not too great for taste.

Quirky restaurant serving asian tapas. The bao was nice but a bit expensive. The tuna on cracker was delicious but seeing the chef mix the raw tuna in the same bowl each time someone ordered the dish made me feel some way as I would prefer a fresh bowl since the warm bowl is sitting out. The wings and pepper salad squid were very salty so I suggest eating it along side with the bao. Service was friendly. Staff and chefs all had masks, there were also plastic shields between tables to help with social distancing.

Came here for a late dinner a few weeks ago and had a good time. After playing crazy golf, our very hungry group of ten tried to find a place nearby that could seat all of us. The staff was super friendly and did a good job putting up with us (we could've done better on the order synchronization). First, we ordered drinks. I had the Lychee Green Bubble Tea, which I really enjoyed. They only make it iced and the bubbles pop in your mouth (they aren't tapioca), but it was tasty. And then, I had a ton of food. We ended up ordering almost everything. I tried the Twice Cooked 7Up Braised Pork Belly Bao and Crispy Soft Shell Crab Bao. The baos were tasty. The pork, which was oozing of goodness, and crab were both cooked well. The dough itself was mediocre and I could've used more flavor in the crab bao. For other dishes, I loved the: Wok Fried Kale (probably not surprising to those of you who read my other reviews and have learned that I'm super basic); Poke (again, not surprising); Jerusalem Artichoke, Lotus Root Crisps (light, airy and crunchy); Sweet & Sticky Eggplant (this was so so so good! Such great eggplant flavor); and Baby Back Ribs (well-cooked and flavored). For dessert, I had the Cilantro Ice Cream, which was kind of weird and not really my thing, but it was refreshing to have after all the other food. They were open late so we spent several hours there. Had a lot of fun, would definitely come back!

This is going to be a long one so grab a snack. I was sent here based on a recommendation because the owner of the restaurant is a relative. We sat at the bar and watched the chefs prepare the ingredients for the day. We were recommended some of their popular dishes, which we ordered, alongside their cocktails. We started with their baos. We each ordered the 7Up braised pork belly bao. It looked delicious and had a picture of a manga printed on it. Presentation: 10/10. Taste: divine. The pillowy goodness of the steamed bun combined with the delicate perfection of the braised pork belly sent me to the heavens with each bite. It was nearly heartbreaking when I discovered that I had finished it. We had the lechon kawali next with steamed rice (topped with black sesame seeds) and a fried egg. Not your typical Filipino fix or presentation. No. This was presented to us with art matching the likes of Michelangelo. The taste paralleled the looks. Each bite was hit all the right spots..just enough crunch, sweet and savory. It was as if the dish was designed to make each bite a masterpiece. We also ordered the cheese and ube puto. In the typical Filipino sense, I was half expecting the dessert. I was wrong. What sat on the plate in front of me were these cute little puto sliders that were so delicately put together that could have only been touched by angels. The puto and the chorizo were made in house. You can only sit and appreciate all the thought that went into the makings of this gift from the heavens. We ended our food journey with the grilled broccoli and grilled cauliflower. I'm a fan of vegetables both cooked and raw but never in my life had I been given the pleasure of enjoying vegetables in this manner. The broccoli was superb but my favorite was the cauliflower. The sauce married well with the texture and taste of the cauliflower that despite being so full from the food I had eaten, I couldn't stop myself from putting another piece of cauliflower into my mouth. Along this sensational journey, I also had a couple of their cocktails. I started with the drunken calamansi. Sweet and refreshing. Definitely something I can keep drinking for days on end. I also had the ginger ninja. This was also delicious with a floral hint but the drunken calamansi was my favorite. The restaurant itself is decorated cutely with birdcages hanging from the ceiling and beautiful artwork around the room. If you ever find yourself in London, please please PLEASE make some time to drop by. You won't regret it.

Oolong Mojito different but tasty. Nothing like a mojito. One compared it to a Mike's hard lemonade.

We enjoyed several tapas. The chicken insala was the fav. Recommend ordering one of each to try it all. Was the most disappointed in the Kawali lechon. Described as smoked for 12 hours but was more mushy as I'd from a crock pot. No flavor. Very much enjoyed the meal and service was great.

The second you walk in you're immediately struck by the restaurant's unique design. They offer an assortment of dishes from Asian countries from the Philippines to Thailand. But their specialty are the baos from Taiwan. Pork belly is the staple of all baos and they make theirs in a way that's uniquely Yuu Kitchen. If you're in the mood for killer Asian fusion food give them a try, yuu won't regret it.

Yuu had me at first taste ... first visited in March 2018 shortly after they had opened and just returned last night since it was so good. If I lived in London I am sure I would be here more frequently. Was skeptical since its Asian fusion and many times such places are not good. Yuu Kitchen is solid though. Food is delicious and all the dishes have great depth of flavor. Service, have only sat at bar counter when I've been, has been great as well. Definitely recommend.

The food was simply OK and most of it was cold. Conceptually it's great but we weren't impressed.

We had a party of 13 so I understand there would be somewhat of a wait and that the whole Dining experience might take a while. We dined on a Tuesday night and the place was quite busy! It took at least 30 minutes from sitting down to get our drinks and another 10 on top of that for them to bring out some bottles of water. It seemed like our server was training someone new. They could have been more efficient, but it took a long time for them both to go around the table and enter in our orders. We were at a work after hours function so we all ordered from the 3 courses for 45 quid option. All of the starters sounded good, but I was slightly disappointed in the drunken dumplings as there were only 2, but the presentation was cool with them pouring the broth into the bowl at the table. I wish I had ordered the cheddar and shrimp toasties as they looked quite good! This place has awesome & fun cocktails, hence the Alchemist name. I didn't realize this at first so ordered a Mai Tai which was not nearly as exciting as some of what my colleagues ordered. Second time around I ordered the red zombie which came out smoking with a test tube vial of absinthe to add in! Definitely cool, but also a bit strong. I had the ribeye steak for my main. It was delicious! The cauliflower and potatoes very good too. Had the next level chocolate brownie for dessert. My only thought is it could have used a bigger scoop of ice cream compared to the size of the brownie but it was delicious! So good, in fact, that I had to finish every last crumb. The ambiance was nice. The bathroom was clean, but a little hard to locate. All in all, I would definitely come back if in the area again.

At the time, we did not know it was a chain, but in any case it was unimpressive. It was not terrible but it was not very good, ultimately just ok. The place had some nice decor elements but seemed very much like an loud party place for drinkers who don't really know about drinks but want to seem sophisticated and have fun. I had the seasonal Fairytale of New York, which was the best of the lot, in part because it had no juice or other mixers like that. I often go with drinks along that line if I don't know the place. I then had the Scotch Mist, which was not as good. But it had grenadine, pineapple, and citrus, so there as the problem: it had too much of those and not enough of the Scotches. My wife had the Flyaway, tequila-based, and found it ok but too watery, juicy, and weak. Again, it had juices in it. Our daughter had a dirty martini which was not good. It had kalamata olives, which we took to be an attempt to seem fancy or avant garde, but which simply didn't work in a martini. This was not terrible but basically just an ok,somewhat crass cocktail place for people who want to seem sophisticated and "have fun" with loud music, etc., but don't really know anything about drinks. I can see this filling the role for people like that, but I would never go here again.

The music was so loud I could barely think - my ears are still ringing today. I wish they had turned it down a little bit because it was really overbearing. The overall bar is nice but a little bit cramped. There was limited seating at the bar and only a few tables that were all occupied once I got there. The bartender was nice.
