This place is a hit or a miss. They have great sales if you know when and how to shop there. Their staff, however, has really gone down hill lately. They've always been somewhat snotty but at least, in the past, they were very willing and eager to help. Now, they just act bothered that you're in the store, especially if they sense that you're shopping the sales. The last few times I was there it took several minutes before someone acknowledged my presence in their empty store. One time the sales person didn't even acknowledge me at all. However, not all of the employees are impolite- a few of them (mostly the managers) are very helpful and courteous. I'll keep shopping here despite the help because the clothes are cute, great quality and they have great sales. read more

I would say the store itself gets 3 Stars. It's just OK. Sometimes you can get pretty amazing deals if you go at the right time like when there is a new line coming out or seasonally. The first markdowns aren't fabulous, it's when the item has been marked down the second or third time that you can really get a great deal. There clothes are adorable. I have paid full price also because they have such darling things for my little girl who's 9 months. The service in my opinion is excellent IF you shop when Karine is working. Otherwise I think the service is way below average. I would give Karine 5 stars. She's so helpful, and really works hard to answer any questions. She's quick on the register also and doesn't make any mistakes. We just shopped there on Saturday 7/17/10 and she was there by herself and she had things running beautifully. This was a disappointing experience at Gymboree store in the Oaks Mall. This morning (03/20/16) I was shopping there and just wouldn't be able to find my cell. I was worried then realized most likely it was played by my young daughter and taken to another store with my husband a few mins ago. I could just leave to look for them, I found nothing in store really impressing today but still would like take care their business since generally I like their selections. So I gave sales several OK items said I'll be back after finding my family and cell. The mall is huge and the store my family went to was found closed when I reached there after quite a walk. Then I became more worried and ran back to Gymboree to 1. See If my family already went back there; 2. borrow a phone to give them a call. The assistant girl knew I was looking for my family and didn't show any care or willing to help and just pushed me to check out those items. Apparently that's a low priority then! When I explained the situation and asked if I could borrow a phone to call them, she directly rejected me and gave me the face that I was asking a very unreasonable favor. Was I? I would understand if she told me the store policy says customer can't use store phone or she doesn't want to share her phone with others, or direct me to other options like help desk etc. But she said nothing other than NO! Is it the way the employee of a quality store was trained? I would not do that even to a stranger! Another customer quickly offered her phone and allowed me to locate my family after a 30 sec. call. (I really appreciate her kindness). After this I completely lost happy mood of a relaxing shopping weekend and left the store. This was not the only time that store staffs disappointed me, some of them are nice but some are not. I once bought over hundreds dollar there but sales woman gave me hard time when I returned 2 items due to size issue. That's enough for me and no more buying from that Gymboree and will share my experiences with my friends. If you don't care business why would I do? read more

The idea of a "Play and Learn Center" in addition to the clothing store sounds wonderful. The reality is that the owner of the franchise is rarely present, the employees that are slated to work there are inconsistent and unprofessional with their attention to the customers safety. A small child was recently injured at one of the owner's other store on a piece of equipment in an unpadded area.The employees never contacted corporate or the owner. The owner and corporate never followed through with due diligence regarding health and safety law.Due to the lack of guidance, skill, training and education look towards other businesses such as My Gym and The Little Gym for a safe, fun experience. They are far superior regarding care, cleanliness and safety. read more

The owner of the store was very blunt and rude. I was shopping during the holidays and the whole store was marked down to 15 dollars or less. I said I was surprised that the leggings were not on sale. The owner said "When they take my store and mark down a 50 dollar dress to 13 dollars, they don't mark down the accessories. It's the only way they can make some sort of profit." Then she turned and walked away. I was shocked. I would rather spend 50 dollars in another store where the salespeople are kind than spend 13 dollars and have the owner talk to me that way. Getting a good deal is not worth the bad feeling that she left me with. read more

It really can't rate the actually store and it's items, because we weren't in the store for more than 2 minutes when everything went downhill....BUT I will rate the customer service, or lack of. We were looking at some coats next to the window display, we had not been there for maybe 1 minute, when my son touched one of the snowflakes that were hanging (DID not grab, just touched with the tip of his finger, BECAUSE he could barely reach it) , either way, I asked my son not to touch, he complied. The second I look up, I see a sale lady yell across to my song "do not touch that, it will fall!" and turn around pissed, without even looking at me. I simply told her, "Yes, I just reprimanded him for that"... Moving on: the coats we were looking at had a 40% off sign (which made the coats approx $35), but I'd seen them online for $19.99. There were other signs around the store that stated "Store wide $19.99" (or something to that effect). So my husband went to clarify with one of the sales people, who wasn't helping anyone else. THEN the other sales person (the same one who had yelled at my son) jumps into the conversation (while she is ringing a family up) - and EXTREMELY RUDELY says to my husband "there's signs everywhere, if you read the fine print, you would have seen it says restrictions apply" - My husband was speechless. At this point I've had it, so I jump in and ask her why she is being so rude to us. Her reply "Well, I'm really busy, I really can't help you" !!!??? My husband tells her "this is why I asked the other sales person, not you" she just rolled her eyes and kept ringing the other family up (who was clearly in shock by the way she was treating us). I had to remove the coat he was trying on (from my little boy), which he was loving by the way, and leave, I just could not stay in that store ONE MORE MINUTE. I was in "awe"; I have never experienced anything like this in my life! For no reason, this sale person seemed to just hate us from the second we walked in. I asked the other sales person (which she didn't say much during this entire ordeal) what the rude sale's person name was, she said it's "Trisha"- but she might have been lying to me, because she was hesitant when I asked. LONG story short. Now I am stuck with an $80 gift card that I do not want to use. read more
