We suffered pretty serious flood damage because of Gutter Tex's poor communication. Keith is not going to tell you the whole process at the start, so allow me to fill you in so you can make a more informed decision. The original estimate you will get will be for "Install" and the estimated date will be for 2-4 weeks from the sign date depending on whether or not you're in their busy season. Ours was about 4 weeks. They'll actually schedule a date sooner than that to come take the gutters off your house if you have existing gutters like us. In our case it was about 2 weeks into our 4 week wait. When they come take your existing gutters off, there's likely going to be some damage to the Fascia underneath the existing gutters. They didn't tell us this until they showed up to take the gutters off. This damage caused another two week delay and they're charging us about 50% of the initial project cost to get it ready to attach new gutters. This means we're already paying 150% what we thought we'd pay, we're delayed another two weeks (because the "carpentry crew" is different than the "gutter crew"), and we have no gutter during that delay which is causing flooding in our house. When we called in to ask if there was any way to expedite the process we were told there's nothing they can do. No amount of reason or sum of money would get this work expedited, so now we just have to let our house keep flooding. Keith was also very rude and impatient during the call where we were trying to see if we could keep our house from flooding. His claim is that everyone's house is flooding, so it's only fair the people that sign up first get to go first. Well, Keith, if everyone's house is flooding maybe you should be better about communicating the risks of working with you up front. Unfortunately the flooding caused by this negligence is going to cost us thousands more to remediate, so our cost overruns on this project are going to be outrageous. Keith's response says that I think I'm more important than other people. I simply don't. I do think that a triage system is sensible. When you go to the ER they don't just take you in the order you arrived in. Most people would agree that is fair. I wish Keith would take that as constructive feedback, but clearly he does not. I don't leave this review to damage Keith's business. I believe he is a veteran, or at least this company is listed as veteran owned. He seems like a good guy. In the contract he talks about the great benefits he offers to members of his team and how they differentiate themselves by not using day labor. I greatly respect a lot of what Keith has accomplished. I'd even be happy to edit this to a 5 star rating upon completion of a satisfactory job. The purpose of those review is to make sure that anyone that is considering using this service during a rainy season has a complete picture of what they are signing up for. I sincerely hope this helps anyone who is considering working with Gutter Tex. If it can save one customer from suffering the type of damage we have it will be worth it. read more

I had my gutters replaced a year ago. I had them install a diverter with gutters, the diverter was supposed to help divert the water away from my AC units. when the winter weather comes the water freezes my units into a block of ice. This year wasn't any different, diverted failed once again and AC was in a block of ice. I called to remove diverter and replace with gutter instead. They said to leave diverter alone and they would install gutter but were not going to credit me for the divert that didn't work. I just can't believe a business that doesn't stand behind there work. Gutter Tex has a great invoice system that allows you to electronically spec out the job which reduces the need to talk to a salesman ad nauseam. They scheduled out far ahead because they are so busy - it's no surprise. Their pricing is much better than other gutter installers. Responsive over email. Responsive over phone. Responsive when I asked a question. Everything ran on time. I hired them to 1) clean my gutters on first and second floor. Also to 2) add gutter guards on my first floor. Guys who came were efficient. I got quotes from 3 different companies and prices for most part were the same. Not huge difference. Feedback/Needs Improvement: I wished they had sent my cell phone images of the clean gutters on first and second floor, so that I know that everything is clean up there. I am pregnant, and I cannot inspect their work myself unfortunately. I also would have liked it if they sent my cell phone images of what the gutter guards looked like when they were installed. I feel this is something they could do for everyone that is a nice touch. I can't be the only one left to wonder...Did you actually clean my 2nd floor gutters--how do I know for sure? He was able to come out in the morning and get a plan together and had the quote back to me by the end of the day. Another person came for the installation. They were professional, and got the job done quickly without sacrificing the quality of work. I prepared a rain water catch tank in the spot where Keith and I agreed to. During the installation they setup the downspout to pour right into my catch-tank. It works perfectly, and I'm happy with the work. They do back up there work (speak to Keith about the details of their guarantee) and invited me to call back if there were any problem (i.e., sagging, loose screws or rivots). So I contacted this company for an estimate. Adam C. came to my home to get the information needed to provide an estimate. He was punctual, took detailed measurements and gave his honest opinion. First off, what I appreciate most is that I needed gutters and reached out to several companies and literally Gutter Tex was the only one to respond and help me. No one else even got back to me. On top of that, though, Gutter Tex, Keith Caballero specifically, helped me navigate insurance as prices had gone up since I first received the insurance money. He connected with my insurance rep and got him all the needed info to send out additional funds to cover the cost. From there, they got to us as quick as they could considering all the supply chain issues they are having. However, one they received all the needed parts for our order, they scheduled us and came right when expected, completed the work impeccably, and followed up immediately to let us know the work was done and to let them know if we had any questions. After signing a contract with Gutter Tex in May 2022, we did not get an install until July 23. The company said that national supply chain problems were the reason for the delay, but we could have used updates or some kind of communication. After the install, a rain event on August 2 caused water to shoot upward out of the gutter in locations near our back door, posing a flooding risk. We immediately sent photos and requested a repair. The repair finally happened on October 29. On November 3, a moderate rain again caused the gutters to overflow and we requested a second repair. This time we contacted a lawyer and sent a letter which quickly got a visit from a second salesperson, who thankfully finally apologized for the stress and distress caused. The third install happened in mid November, and since we haven't had a good rain yet we don't know if this one works (but we hope so!) I tried to speak to the business owners but the salesperson would not give me their contact information until I informed him we were sending a copy of our complaint to our lawyer. I do want to say that the installation workers seemed diligent and professional. But the design issues and poor communication with our salesperson soured us on this company. read more

Let me just call out all the guys involved with the service right off the bat. Keith in Sales was always available and if I got his VM he called back in minutes every time. Nick and Derek did the install and they were just great! Of course they walked me through the finished product to explain the install, but they were just awesome and very professional answering all my questions from start to finish install day. A pleasure to work with! Don't get fooled by Leaf Guard and big name companies. Gutter Tex is Legit! They did my GF house as well. Very satisfied with the product and the customer service. Looks great, had a wonderful experience. The only suggestion I had for them, is to remind the customer ahead of time, (even though it's in the contract) that a charge of however much was coming the day of the install. I would have changed my payment method for the balance and not been caught off guard by the deduction in my checking/debit account. But that's technically on me. I used Gutter Tex for a gutter cleaning and install of gutter guards. The Good: The communication from the team was prompt. They arrived on time the day of the estimate and the day of the service. The installation of the guards was done well. The Bad: The cleaning consisted of their team blasting all of the debris from our gutters with a leaf blower. In the front of our house this mainly included old black leaves that were scattered everywhere. The team said no worries, we will clean all of it up. That apparently only applied to our walkway to the front door. The crushed granite beds around our house were left with a ton of unsightly debris that I had to clean up and frankly, I expected better. In the back of our house and to the side, the debris that was blasted out of our gutters was mostly granules from our shingles. On the side of the house it did not appear that any attempt was made to clean up. Our driveway was covered in gritty debris, but that was easily addressed by hitting it with my own blower when I got home so not a big deal, but again, I expected better. The larger issue was in the back yard. Most of the granules they blasted out of my gutter ended up in my pool. I have now vacuumed it 3 times since the service and still can't get all of the debris out. I thought that a professional gutter cleaning service would have done something other than blasting the gutters out with a leaf blower and leaving the resulting mess. Next time I'll do it myself, bag the debris as I go (at least near the pool!), save $800, and probably invest about the same amount of time as I've spent cleaning up after the "pros". read more
