They were fast and did good work, I was happy with what I received for the price. That said, I did have an issue - communication. This is a relatively small thing considering the job came out almost perfectly, and that is why the review is 5 stars anyways, this is not a reason to not use the company, it's advice to the company on how to improve further. I struggled to understand the main gentleman's English (and I don't speak Spanish), I always feel bad and try my best, but it was a struggle for me. There was another guy who spoke pretty clearly and was clearly bilingual who came up later, and he was easier for me to understand, less accent, spoke more clearly/loudly. I don't think anything bad should happen to the main gentleman who was spearheading the communications, I am very satisfied with basically everything, I just wanted to clarify about how I wasn't sure I was understood or that I was understanding him at times. At one point I was second-guessing if he understood what I wanted done... I did actually go outside and check to make sure they weren't cutting the entire trees down instead of doing the planned reduction due to a misunderstanding. That's a concern you can avoid customers having by improving verbal communication, and potentially adding some written communication at the front of the service (it was a pre-existing quote, the quote had multiple prices/quotes on it. It only came out at the end, and i had to supply it as the customer). There was a very small disagreement about one tree limb at the end that was still kind of overhanging the house. They decided it was healthy and didn't need to be cut, but frankly it's a branch and leaves that will distribute themselves right over my house and into my gutter. It's by far the closest remaining branch and will probably be the first limb to cause me to need to get my trees trimmed next time. By the time it came up at the end, all the equipment was packed and most of the guys were not around, so the limb was left on. I felt like I was told that they were going to do a "looks good" with me before we called it quits, but I guess this was maybe slightly miscommunicated..

Most recently they removed an 80'+ tall "V" shaped tree that was damaged during a rain storm. Part of the tree fell and the other part that was still over 80' tall was compromised and had to be taken down immediately. I called Dawson's first thing on the morning of the 4th of July. Despite it being a holiday, they immediately responded and sent their arborist out to evaluate and mobilize the correct course of action. Within days they remedied the situation and removed all parts of tree. This particular tree was in a very tricky spot of of yard wedged very close to a neighbors house and part having over this house. Amazing work they did. As the owner of a small business, I can appreciate the highest level of customer service. This was exactly that. I will always use this company in the future and give them my highest recommendation. Can't say enough about this company. It was very important that we work with a company that was insured as they are. Price is always a factor and their estimate (I got a total of 5 estimates) was the best. Our 45 foot maple tree was on our property with large branches overhanging on our neighbor's property. Many overhead wires on both properties. No issues with the overhead wires as the work was done efficiently and professionally. Clean up was very good in the backyard AND as well as in our front yard where their equipment was parked. Highly recommend this company. read more
