I received a recommendation for Super Star Landscaping through Home Advisor and they were wonderful. I received a call from Horatio the same day I sent my inquiry, asking if he could come by that day to give the estimate. I was anticipating over $2,000 to remove our tree. He quoted us less than $1,000! While giving us his quote, he stated how they really wanted our business. We ultimately went with Superstar as they lowered their quote as they had other work in Carol Stream. :) The arrived on time on the day of service, and said it would take three hours to remove my tree. They finished in just over two. They also said someone would be out next day to grind the stump (for no additional cost) by 4:00PM next day. This person also arrived on time. After grinding the stump, he helped my husband clean up and pile the mulched wood. He made sure to clean up the area as best he could. I am very glad I connected with Horacio and his team for my tree removal project. We had a dead 70-foot pine tree beginning to fall over a power line and my neighbor's property, so the project was high-risk and urgent; Horacio was able to come inspect and give a quote within 4 hours of my initial phone call, and upon getting the go-ahead he was able to come next day. I had four different contractors out to inspect; Horacio's price was middle-range, and I chose his team because 1) they obviously knew what they were doing and had a plan to be careful around the power lines and my neighbor's property, and 2) they were available to do the job soonest. These guys were great. They have integrity and they had the best quote. They came when they said they would come, and they cut the tree (an old, old pine tree) down in less than an hour. What's more, when they cut our tree down, they didn't damage a single plant near it. I was amazed, for I simply thought that everything near the tree would be damaged. They also cut the tree down to practically the soil. (I didn't want to have the stump grinded for fear that it would damage the garden in which the tree was planted.) Super Star Tree Service is just that... Superstars!! They did an unbelievably great job cutting down a tree for me that was uprooting and headed for the power lines. Not only did they come out on a days notice.... they were done within an hour. yard cleaned and wood cut and hand placed on the wood rack!! They were only my second quote and over $100 cheaper than the previous quote I received. I highly, highly recommend Oracio( hope I'm close on that) and his crew. I just wish I could have tipped more! super star is a 5 star company. I highly recommend them for any of your tree trimming or removal needs. i called them after the tornado storms a week ago which broke a 100ft tree in half. They responded very quickly and showed up a day later to remove the tree and grind the stump. very nice job they left the site clean and ready to replant. only took them about an hour to complete the job. . cost was very reasonable and much less than most other tree services. read more

I had a tree land on my fence from some storms. Horacio answered the phone, came out right away, and gave me a competitive estimate. They were at my house first thing, and took down a huge tree, cleaned up, put my fence back together, and ground the stump. I asked them to be careful of my neighbors flowers, and they were very respectful and careful not to cause them more damage. We had this company remove 9 trees and trim 6. They are amazing, I won't be going anywhere else in the future. Their price was great, the care they took in my yard was exceptional, and I had a special request that they had no problem doing. One of my trees had a nest in it, all the way at the top, I wasn't sure if we should remove it, so they crawled the tree to make sure there were no babies in the nest, then removed it.
