Once again, Danny from Chicago Home ReVision saved the day for us, as well as money and headaches…read more This time it was the cold-water shower handle not getting a good grip on threads of the valve stem and not completely turning off the water after a shower. We hated the drip, drip, drip of precious water. Danny fixed it in one short visit! Another plumber told us his repair was very involved with expensive custom parts, a building water shutoff, and with the daunting words, "it won't be cheap". Danny saved us from all of that. We will always go with Danny as our first choice. PS. He also repaired a loose bathroom tile, after fixing the shower.

TLDR: Save yourself some trouble, and give John and his team at Chicago Home Re/Vision an email,…read moretext, call, right now. I came across John and his team at Chicago Home Re/Vision after months thinking about a bathroom remodel and was close to giving up on finding a contractor. I'm glad that I didn't give up because (1) John responded within a day of outreach to come out and assess -- providing me a breath of fresh air, hope, and vigor for this project -- and (2) the final result was beyond my wildest dreams. From initial contact to end, John and his team were professional, communicative, flexible, and an absolute delight to work with. Prior to the project, John provided me a lot of advice on materials, aesthetics, and timeline -- which helped me mitigate some of the risks and what-ifs. Seriously, I wouldn't have installed a half shower door had he not advised that (1) it would be easier to install than a full shower door -- not that it would be a problem for me -- but as a result it would be easier to maintain, (2) it would look great with the vision I was going for, and (3) that it would be functional despite my first reaction. I had many travel plans during the summer, which made it difficult for me to say when exactly we could get started, however, Chicago Home Re/Vision was able to be flexible and accommodate a delayed start date. At every juncture of the project, John provided me many choices to make which helped me feel like I was an active participant in creating the end product and made sure that I would not be surprised by anything. The end result is so very impressive -- I some times do not believe that this is the same bathroom. They did such an amazing job. It is even more impressive when I say that their timeline and budget was exactly in line with their initial quotes, which were already incredibly fair. John and his team at Chicago Home Re/Vision have set a new high standard of what I expect from my contractors. I can promise you that I be will be reaching out to them first for any future projects. Thank you for bringing my vision to life and making my space feel like my own!

I can't recommend Welkin Construction enough. I had been dealing with a frustrating, ongoing issue…read morewhere my upstairs stand-up shower was slowly dripping through my kitchen ceiling below. I had already paid a plumber a significant amount of money for a leak inspection and "repair," only to find out the problem was never actually fixed. I even had one contractor tell me I needed a full bathroom renovation on a house that was only built in 2018. A clear overzealous attempt at a money grab. I found Welkin Construction almost by chance while getting quotes, and I'm extremely glad I did. From the beginning, they were honest, upfront, and professional. Instead of trying to sell me an unnecessary renovation, they took the time to properly diagnose the issue and fix the actual problem. Their team carefully caulked and resealed the shower, removed bathroom tile, replaced damaged subflooring, cut and installed new tile, repaired the hole in my kitchen ceiling, and repainted the kitchen -- all with excellent attention to detail. The quality of the work was outstanding, and the price was more than reasonable compared to the other options I was given. The owner is a genuinely nice and professional guy and his team was efficient, respectful, kind, and clearly took pride in their work. It's rare to find contractors who are this honest and dependable. Save yourself the time, frustration, and unnecessary expenses -- give Welkin Construction a call. They've earned my trust and will absolutely be my go-to company for future projects. Highly recommend!

RED FLAGS: When I asked to speak to a previous client, he ignored the request. Be aware that he avoids permits and skips final finishing details. While our project was finished, we were left with the following: * crooked hardware * Splintered cabinets from the hardware installation on the inside. * A leaking pipe under the sink that connects to the dishwasher * leaking radiator * Cracked outlet cover above sink * Sloppy grout work * Chipped countertop * Unfinished trim that was in the project scope drawings * Lost custom floor vent cover * Shut off the water to 2nd-floor bathroom to never return * Kept our house key * Nail holes not filled in * Chipped and damaged side door * Construction debris bags left on the patio * and a very sloppy, haphazard paint job (a professional painter we brought in to correct, advised Sam used flat CEILING PAINT on trim). He and the contractors were very sloppy during the project, not protecting the floors, leaving cement and paint on hardwood floors. Do not let the website or Facebook AI-generated photos fool you.
