He got a sense of what I was after and called me when that car came in, before it had made it to the sales lot, which I appreciated. He wasn't overly pushy. The price seemed pretty reasonable. I took it to a mechanic who said it checked out very clean. Experience was soured due to curt/abrupt demeanor of finance guy. Don't recall his name. While he didn't push the extended warranty, when I declined it he went with the, "Well, you must have A LOT of money" blast. Pretty sarcastic/demeaning tone. My response was that no, I was sold a car that was touted as being very reliable and with only 71K miles on it I figured its electronics/tranny/engine would at least last another 36K miles/3 yrs. Or I'd self-insure and take the gamble versus the $1,900 they wanted from me. So that portion of the car buy process was really off-putting. I'm sure some Lexus buyers expect to really be schmoozed. I certainly don't. But at the same time, don't lob grenades like that at me. Overall, I'd work with Darryl again

The people at cleggs treated me with such respect and professionalism even though I made the decision to junk the car. They took their time diagnosing the issue, held my car for a week while I was out of town for business and when I left, they didn't charge me anything for their time. Love these guys. That said I have used them in the past and they did a great job for a fair price. I think it's important to remember when choosing a mechanic that they are typically burdened with giving bad news about your car. This reality often leaves the consumer feeling badly towards those giving the news, which often makes one not trust the messenger. Cleggs rises above and beyond when it comes to that delicate relationship and they will have my business forever. They really are fantastic. I would give them 10 stars if I could !! Thanks again Kyle and the entire staff for being so great to work with.

Not so good: Don't follow up when the car work is "done" or things change - you have to call and check on the status of the work. Don't offer ride or rental for longer repairs. So my son hit a dear with my car totaling it and that left me in the market for a new car. After visiting quite a view dealerships I became a little disappointed in not only the customer service but also in how dishonest some sales guys could be. It wasn't until I landed in Torres Automotive, Amado not only restored my trust again he also went above and beyond to make sure we had the car we desired he made sure to give us the complete run down of our choice. I mean to tell you I don't think there was a vehicle he did not know. He worked hard in getting us financed and best part.... I didn't have to translate for my hubby because he was Fluent in English and Spanish. Amado from Torres Automotive is hands down one the best sakes guys I ran into in some time. DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM THEM…read more My parents purchased a vehicle from TAG, and the experience has been an absolute nightmare from the very beginning. The best way I can describe the people running this place is that they operate like a real-life version of Harry Wormwood from Matilda--the sleazy used-car salesman flipping junk cars and hoping no one notices. TAG sold my parents a vehicle while failing to disclose serious issues they clearly knew about. They briefly flashed a report that my parents even had to pay for, but after the sale they conveniently never provided the electronic copy until we repeatedly asked and pushed for it. They mentioned replacing the windshield, yet somehow "forgot" to mention that the ENTIRE ENGINE had been replaced with a salvaged engine, essentially turning this vehicle into a salvage situation. The car didn't even make it home before mechanical problems started. When my parents tried to work with TAG about the issues, the staff became accusatory and acted as if my parents were already aware of these problems. That's absurd--if they had known about a salvaged engine and the mechanical mess that came with it, they obviously never would have bought the car in the first place. At one point TAG even suggested they would cover a $250 repair deductible only if we removed our Google reviews, which felt like a blatant attempt to buy our silence. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how they operate. Since purchasing the car, my parents have only actually been able to drive it for a few days. The rest of the time it has been sitting in repair shops. At one point the rearview mirror literally fell off because it appeared to be glued on with some kind of epoxy instead of proper adhesive--something that looked like it came straight out of a backyard repair kit. The engine has thrown codes repeatedly, and eventually our repair shop had to pull the entire engine out of the vehicle just to replace the oil pan and oil pump--basic things that should have been addressed when the engine was first swapped. That repair alone cost nearly $4,000. Between the multiple repairs and constant problems, my parents have now spent thousands of dollars fixing a car they just bought and barely get to drive. At this point, I wouldn't trust these people to fix me a bowl of cereal--much less a vehicle. Between the undisclosed salvaged engine, the constant mechanical failures, the sloppy repairs, and the attempt to pressure us into removing honest reviews, the entire experience has felt shady, dishonest, and incredibly unprofessional. I strongly recommend taking your business somewhere else.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Doug Smith Kia…read more On June 15, I brought my 2023 Kia EV6 to the dealership for two warranty concerns: two pieces of exterior trim were falling off, and my over-the-air navigation updates were not working. I was told the trim parts would be ordered, a USB drive would be obtained for the navigation update, and someone would call me when everything was ready. Six weeks passed, and I never received a single phone call. I then called the dealership myself and left three separate messages, none of which were ever returned. While I was away on a trip, my car was parked in an airport parking garage. When I returned, the left rear camera had fallen back into the bumper. I took it to Doug Smith Kia expecting a warranty evaluation. The technician's own inspection video states that the camera bracket had separated from the bumper. However, I was then told by the service parts manager that the bracket had been "tampered with" and was therefore not covered under warranty. No convincing evidence was provided to support that claim, yet I was charged nearly $600 for the repair. To make matters worse, the original reason I brought the vehicle in still hasn't been resolved. The dealership was unable to complete the navigation update, even using their own equipment. So after multiple visits, weeks of waiting, ignored phone calls, and nearly $600 out of pocket, I still have a navigation system that doesn't function properly. The most frustrating part of this experience wasn't just the cost--it was the complete lack of communication and accountability. Promises to call were never kept. Messages were never returned. Warranty concerns were dismissed without a satisfactory explanation. I expected far better service from a Kia dealership. I chose Kia because I believed I was buying a quality vehicle backed by quality service. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously damaged my confidence in both Doug Smith Kia and the Kia brand.
