Don't let your elderly parents or grandparents purchase a car from LHM Lexus! My 78 year old grandma went to replace her Lexus that was totaled. She was shown a 2012 model with low miles that she ended up liking and purchasing. Market and book value for a 2012 RX 350 is between $15-$17k. The crooks at LHM sold it to her for $27k! Charging an almost 80 year old woman $10k more for a 10 year old car shows that LHM cares only about money and they don't care how they get it. Updated review: I needed get my transmission fluids changed and decided I'd call Larry Miller of Lindon since I have had a few great experiences there. I called to find out how much it would cost and was asked by the employee if I knew this was a Lexus dealership. I told the employee I did and had had services completed before. I told the employee what I needed done and they transferred me to another employee to help me. This employee informed me this was a Lexus dealership and I did not have a Lexus. I told him I already knew that and had services completed before and that had never been an issue. He said he did not know if he could help me and would have to transfer me to someone else. I ended up hanging up after being told it was a Lexus dealership (twice) and being transferred (twice). I went to another dealership to have my car serviced. This recent experience has made me not want to go back to Larry H Miller Lexus of Lindon since the employees made it clear they wouldn't help me because I did not drive Lexus. I have been here twice now to have services performed on my car. I do not drive a Lexus and am treated like a valued customer. I am very pleased with the customer service. Everyone is very friendly, you're welcomed as you walk in through the service department, and you're thanked for your business as you leave. The waiting area is bright and clean with tons of snacks. There's a business area with a small play area for kids. This area makes my visit so much easier since my little boy has an area to play while we wait for our car to be serviced. I originally ended up here after my recommended I get my car serviced here since their prices are reasonable. I had one dealership who was going to charge me $600 for brakes and LHM Lexus charged me less than $300 with tax out the door. I am glad I made the drive South and saved myself $300. read more

We waited such a long time when trying to purchase the vehicle and the man who handled the financial portion was very unprofessional in his interactions with the other employees. We had Come to Lexus of Lindon the look at a new GX460. After test driving it, we felt it was too large and rode more like a truck, however when Robin, the sales representative recognized we might not buy a car from the dealership, he astutely redirected us to a RX350. In looking extensively at an RX350, we decided we liked the car a lot. Robin informed us that the exact car we decided we would have wanted in this line was coming in in two weeks time and could buy it. After an afternoon of offers and counteroffers on the car we learned there really wasn't a car to buy and that the car we wanted had been sold previously. When talking to Robin about the situation, trying to understand better I was simply told "I don't have a car to sell you and hung up. id rhink someone who has sold cars for 40 years would have verified the car's availability prior to spending an afternoon with a client and wasting their time. The dealership which once was vibrant appears today to be more like a ghost town despite the comment that the dealership is still selling the same amount of cars as 2 years ago. You'd think the Luxury car sales location in Lindon would take the time to verify a car was available before taking a clients afternoon. read more

I've been a patron of this Lexus dealership and the one in Salt Lake County (Murray) for a number of years. My current vehicle actually came from this dealership and as I've described in my review for the Murray one, the sales service is pretty much top notch. It's no pressure but also very attentive when you have questions. Lexus makes car buying what it should be and is the standard by which dealerships for other brands should be compared in my opinion. Lexus is generally considered legendary for its customer service, and for the most part I've found that to be true. However, I give this particular dealership some additional kudos over the Murray store when it comes to the service department. While generally (knocking-on-wood) you don't expect to ever have any major problem with a Lexus vehicle, what I can say is the one time I have in 11 years of owning them, these guys took care of everything and it didn't cost me a dime, in fact they seemed genuinely horrified that something serious had even gone wrong in a 4 year old Lexus, as it was then. They even gave me rides too and from my place of work at the time while they were getting my vehicle repaired. I've never been more impressed than with the professionalism, openness and customer focus I received from the service department here. As a result, I decided when I replaced that particular vehicle with a newer Lexus that this dealership would get the sale. And get the sale they did! read more

Fantastic experience as usual with Lexus dealerships. We've been searching for Either brand new Lexus ES350 with specifics/ or 2021LS500 Used, and due to not being able to order (Lexus Suspension on New Orders), we finally found the vehicle with 99% of everything needed. Post pandemic and car availability with your desires are getting harder and harder and when purchasing anything at high prices these days, I'm not settling, I want what I want and will wait if necessary. This was the same experience my daughter had at this location 4 years ago, totally unbelievable that a business tries to scare people about repairs they claim to be needed that are not. My sister-in-law took her lexus in for oil change was told the power steering pressure hose was bad. There price for the hose close to $1000 and with labor another $500 and other came 5 over $3000. Woman alone target. Had another place check it out, hose no problem. Added note, car has about 70,000 2008 RX. The time before with about 60k they said time to replace timing chain, it cost about $6000. If you don't know anything, timing chains don't need to be even thounght about until beyond 150,000 and even then just checked not necessarily replaced. If you have a belt you are looking at about 70k too 90k. Enough said. read more

old me a car with 23k miles and it broke down two months later.... I wouldn't recommend anyone because their "certified" cars are not actually certified. It's just a word they use to try and make you feel like your making a good purchase. They don't go over the used cars before they sell them so you never know what your going to get. They run it through a car wash, put some "Lexus" air fresheners in it and send you off not knowing how well the car runs. Where is customer service?? They wouldn't even let us barrow a car while her car was in the shop... We dropped the car off then had to take a shuttle to get to our next destination. I'm north of age 50. First time EVER buying from a dealer. Had seen other Lexus cars at a local dealership. Checked with Darryl as we both belong to a marketing group. He got a sense of what I was after and called me when that car came in, before it had made it to the sales lot, which I appreciated. He wasn't overly pushy. The price seemed pretty reasonable. I took it to a mechanic who said it checked out very clean. Experience was soured due to curt/abrupt demeanor of finance guy. Don't recall his name. While he didn't push the extended warranty, when I declined it he went with the, "Well, you must have A LOT of money" blast. Pretty sarcastic/demeaning tone. My response was that no, I was sold a car that was touted as being very reliable and with only 71K miles on it I figured its electronics/tranny/engine would at least last another 36K miles/3 yrs. Or I'd self-insure and take the gamble versus the $1,900 they wanted from me. So that portion of the car buy process was really off-putting. I'm sure some Lexus buyers expect to really be schmoozed. We sold our Lexus in Hawaii before moving to Utah for school. We were in need of a car immediately and COVID has done strange things to the auto inventory. I had contacted the dealer before leaving Hawaii and Landon reached out to us. I explained the situation and he said to come in and he would be readily available. He was not the typical salesman (and I've worked in the dealership business for 30 years) who want you to buy the car now and then blow you out the door. We were headed out of town last Saturday morning and I noticed my front left signal was whacked. I called the Lexus dealer in Lindon because I was headed that way and it was closer than the one in Murray, where I usually go. I called a little ahead of time and the nice woman on the phone said they were booked but to bring it by anyway. We show up, they get the new light installed in less than an hour, and they charged us... wait for it....NOTHING! Murray Lexus wanted $63.00 for parts and labor and they lied to me the night before about how much time it would take, so they get a half of a star at the moment. THANKS LEXUS LINDON. We drove 90 minutes one way to go test drive the car we have been looking at and we were very disappointed with our experience. We were not treated well by the salesman. The salesman was hard to talk to and didn't give us any information about the cars unless we asked specific questions. We weren't offered drinks like everyone else around us until we had already been there 15 min. We also had to stand out in the cold while he took his time to "run" inside and get keys to the cars we wanted to look at. We walked away after an hour of being with this guy feeing like a Mazda was a better car (heck, maybe it is?) because we received no information about the cars. We also were not given any purchasing information (financing rates, leasing options, etc.). How are we supposed to commit to a large purchase if we don't have any information? If this is how we are treated when we are interested in buying, how will we be treated when we just need maintenance done on the car? No thanks. read more

Was looking at gently used mini vans on ksl and came across one that this dealership was selling. It was a year older than I was looking for (2016) but it looked like something we would consider. I was thinking out loud, wondering if they might go down on the price, my husband said we won't know unless we call them. I messaged them and within minutes a salesman called me. I told him what vehicle we were interested in and mentioned the price we saw online. I asked him if they would be willing to go down on the price. He was very nice and literally said "I would love to give you a crazy stupid deal and earn your business". So we made an appt to go out there to check it out. Long story short: we drove all the way to Lindon from West Valley during rush hour traffic to test drive a van that was missing a seat and had tons of scratches (some I'm sure could have been buffed out, but one was pretty thick and was all the way down to the metal) just to have the sales manager tell us that he was in this vehicle $500 below the price we saw on the internet and that we would be getting the friends and family deal at the listed price. Maybe I'm crazy, but when I hear that they want to make us a "crazy stupid deal and earn our business" after asking if they'd go down on the listed price on the internet, then they would go down...even by a couple thousand! But no, it actually meant we had to hear them say no AFTER the hassle of driving an hour to get there...they don't really want our business after all. And there is no way the sales manager is going to make me believe that he gave $21500 as the trade in value for that van. No way! I only gave this 2 stars instead of 1 because I really do feel like the sales rep wanted to help us out. read more

However, after completing a factory recall, I was told that there were several items that they would recommend that I take care of on the car. The total estimate amounted to about $6,100. Thinking that to be a bit outrageous, I had two independent mechanics look at what they had recommended be done. One said it was ludicrous and the other said it was a scam. Nothing needed to be done at all. I would be skeptical of any recommendations for expensive repairs. read more

I took my car in to have a full service done to it and they were telling me of everything that needed to be done to it. If I was to have everything serviced then it would have cost me $3,000.00. I took it to a local mechanic who looked at it and he said there was only one problem with the car and he fixed it for $400. Bought a is 250 from them in June. Paid for the extended used car warranty. Brought the car back to them numerous times for a tire sensor that should not have been a big deal to replace but instead they would reset the warning and a few weeks later it would come on again. Got to the point where every time we drove the car the warning light would come on. Finally decided to change the rims along with the sensors. When we went to take the tires off we had found that the wheel lock for the lug nuts was not in car. Went back to the Lexus and they refused to give me one. Instead they wanted to charge me for it despite the fact that it is a necessary part that should come with all cars. If I had gotten a flat tire there is no way I could have changed the tire. They finally relented and gave me the part but not until I'd spent 15 minutes arguing with them. Poor customer service for luxury brand. Hope they start doing better or I'm not coming back to buy another car. read more

Horrible experience. I brought my current Lexus in for it's 100,000 mile check up. I was told that there was $3600 worth of repairs needing to be done and that I needed new tires. Which I feel was one of their tactics to get me to look into buying a new car. So I took one of their vehicles as a test drive over the weekend. When I return to pick up my car my radar detector was missing. I spoke with the salesman and was informed that somebody from management would reach out to me about this matter. Nobody ever contacted me a week later after filing a police report I reached out to them with no results. I asked them to check cameras and contact me that never happened I also have text message, from my sales rep saying that Joe from management would reach out to me it's been two weeks and nobody has contacted me and I have reach out to them multiple times to no avail. If you take your car there make sure you remove all valuables before it goes in for service or you will most likely end up missing something. Also I ended up getting my car repaired and the normal mechanic shop and my total was less than $1400 so they had over $2200 mark up for their service. Conclusion very disappointed that my personal belongings had no safety at the facility and also their customer service is horrible would never purchase a vehicle from this location or little lone even bring my car to be washed there. read more

I've had several miscommunications with the service department. Two examples. First, Lexus service at the dealer in SLC gave me over the phone a possible diagnosis of a problem which indicated it was no big deal. When I called this dealer to make an appointment (since they are closer to my home) I was told it would be a huge deal and I'd have to leave my car overnight (which happened). But the problem was no big deal as suggested by the other dealer. Wish I lived closer to the other Miller dealer. Second, the service dept messed up and charged another customer for my emissions test. They said they would fix it with the state and pay my fee and then send me notification in the mail of what they'd done, which I never received. I forgot about paying the registration fees because I kept waiting to get something from Lexus. Now I have to haggle with the DMV. I think I'll find a reliable neighborhood mechanic and forget the poor service at Larry H Miller in Lindon! read more

Well i had a deal out in the front, but once I got in with the finance guy the deal wouldn't be honored. I feel I was being reasonable with the deal I made and they agreed to it out front but not in the back. In fact they had the car detailed and ready. We had filled out all of the finance paperwork and were signing all the paperwork when they brought out a piece of paperwork that said it was as is and no warranty even though it should have had some factory warranty. Part of the deal I negotiated was for an extended warranty, and the other request was that they put the correct size tires on because the ones on it were rubbing when going over bumps. Don't know why the dealer would put the wrong size tires on maybe they didn't but our sales guy said they did. I didn't haggle the price of the car or the offer they made on my trade in. In reality all they needed to do to have a satisfied customer would have been to honor the deal they agreed to, and honestly it wouldn't been much more than a thousand dollars their cost. I guess in their defense I could have ponied up the extra but we had made a deal and in my world that means something.
