It was relatively dead at lunchtime, which made me…read morethink about the freshness and quality of the food - But that was quickly dispelled when we met our server and got our food! Their menu is great, such a nice assortment of soooo many things I absolutely LOVE, but our server told me how amazing the taco assortment and the smash burger was that we got one of each, with me getting the smash burger. Our food came out rather quickly and was amazing, fresh, tasty, and PERFECTLY PREPARED!!! My smash burger was excellent! Exactly what a smash burger should be. I asked for jalapeños to be added to it and they added fresh sliced jalapeños which nicely enhanced the flavor. I typically don't eat the fries that come as a side dish, but these were so darn amazing that I ate them all! They were perfectly double-fried for crispness, yet were fresh, hot, perfectly salted, and sooo tasty! Our experience, the food, the quality, and the service was very nice. I will definitely return!

For an appetizer, we ordered the salsa, spinach artichoke dip and hips. My son ended up going with his standby favorite, a cheeseburger, while I got the pulled pork sandwich and my partner and daughter shared the spaghetti topped with shrimp. Basically, all our favorite foods! For dessert, we recommend the paletas (delicious ice pops). Our kids had so much fun picking out their favorites. Our daughter got the cookies and cream that was packed with full-sized oreos inside, while my son got the classic cherry flavor. The restaurant is decorated for the holidays and we loved getting our photo in front of their Christmas tree. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. This is a definite must-stop spot in Madison.

None of us…read morehad been there before, and when we walked in, it was apparent we didn't need to make a resy, as it was a very casual establishment, more like a walk up to the counter and order food type of place. The young lady helping us was very kind and sweet. She tried to answer my questions to the best of her ability. I really wanted to try Atol de Elote, but it was made with cows milk, which i don't drink. I ended up getting for different pupusas and some yuca fries. I LOVE yuca fries, but i did feel like for the amount I received, it was over priced. There was maybe 2/3C of yuca for $5. I got one garlic, one chicken and cheese, one pork and cheese, and one spinach pupusa. I was getting very full, so I didn't even try the spinach. I ate a portion of each of the other three. The pork and cheese and garlic and cheese were very good, but the chicken was lacking. It was mine there was no cheese inside and no flavor added to the pupusa! My Friends both got chicken taquitos and liked them very much! Usually when I get pupusas, I get the curtido and a special salsa on the side, which I did not get a salsa. I used the salsa I got with my chips and salsa and that worked out! I would probly come back to order to go, but maybe not dine in. I would definitely recommend coming by for lunch rather than dinner!

The name of this market has been changed to: Cielito Lindo, which is a popular Spanish song and…read moreroughly translated means "Lovely Sweet One" although "cielo" means heaven and "lindo" means pretty - combined this phrase is typically a term of endearment. This tidy little Latino market carries many Hispanic, Mexican and South American products. Being of Cuban descent, I frequently head to this site for Goya products, including rice, black beans, plantains, Adobo spices, coffee, Maria cookies, fresh fruits and veggies, tomato items, empanada shells and my "never be without" Mojo Criollo Goya marinade. This marinade truly is the spice of life and I use it in many of my recipes! You will also find baked goods, household items, and sundries at this store. There's a deli/butcher in the back and a frozen food section. There's also a small restaurant and pupuseria serving Latin fare, from Cuban sandwiches to tacos to tostones to tamales to yucca to soups/sides and more. They serve Cuban coffee, horchata, Latin sodas, and other drinks and some tempting desserts, like flan and tres leches cake. For an inexpensive, quick bite in a casual, no nonsense eatery with lots of festive atmosphere, you've gotta try Cielito Lindo, it really is "a slice of heaven". And not to worry if you don't speak Spanish, some of the folks there speak English. ¡Provecho!
