    Mocha

We came to Cafe y Sabor with friends looking for an experience we don't have everyday, and we weren't disappointed. While the location and interior is unassuming, we were met with friendly service from staff who wanted to make sure we had the best experience possible. They walked us through the menu, answered questions, and provided recommendations that were spot on. I ended up getting a mocha and the personal sized Picada. The dish consisted of multiple cuts of meat including steak, pork belly, and chicken. Everything was seasoned well and utterly delicious. The price was just around $22 - and was absolutely worth it given the three meals I was able to make out of it. The coffee ordered was nothing to write home about, but it did the job. When you visit be sure to check out the bakery section. Our waitress treated us with some fresh baked goods which were lovely so don't miss out.

If you like Colombian food -- or have yet to try it -- check out cafe y sabor. Amazing service always. I've only been for breakfast so far. I love the pan de bono, always fresh tasting and nicely sized. The coffee is nice and smooth. Staff is always friendly and quick. I need to come back for lunch or dinner!

Long wait for drier than leather arepas. Like cardboard has probably a better taste. U can tell they dont care about what they put on the plate or how they do it. Also the waiter talk on the thing on their ear while talking to you so its confusing to try to understand him. We had 5 plates they all had the same cardboard arepa same dried cheese and same type of dried steak. Wemt on a sunday for the calfo de costilla and they only had tripe soup

    A little inspiration.

This was a delightful surprise while on a business trip to Richmond in early March 2025. It's an unassuming spot that is easy to miss from the highway. But the location is very convenient to folks staying at hotels on or near Glenside Drive (about a 5 minute drive away). Lots of pluses! Amazing cappuccinos with 100% Columbian coffee? Check. Friendly staff that go out of their way to help you choose a pastry? Check. A clean restaurant with pleasant decor? Check. A free sample of "Pan de Bobos" for first-time visitors? Check. During this "grab-n-go" stop, I did not have time to sample their regular dishes, but if the superb Colombian coffee is any indication of the quality of their desserts or main entrees, I will definitely come back. Overall, this place is worth a stop if you enjoy Columbian coffee!

I have been wanting to check this place out for coffees, but will definitely be back for food! My hubby & I popped in on a Sunday afternoon & the place was packed. Lots of friendly faces & people really enjoying themselves. I ordered an oat milk latte, so delicious & my hubby had an empanada with beef & plantains. He was in heaven! We'll be coming back soon

Loved, loved, loved Cafe y Sabor. The lemonade is amazing and the food was sooo good. The staff was extremely friendly. If I lived closer I would be there atleast three times a week. They even roast their own coffee beans from Columbia y'all. You have to give them a try!

I drop in for a quick bite to eat and I love the fresh coffee here . it's the only coffee with no after taste. the staff is very helpful and I'm always greeted with a smile. it's always a lovely experience.

I order over a hundred dollars here monthly and I ordered online and selected included options. When I got to the restaurant they said that even though the website said it was included I needed to pay extra to collect the order. I had already paid the total from the order online and this order was 108.00. They told me to get the order I needed to pay an extra $12. This will be the last time I visit this misleading restaurant. It's a shame because I come here every three days but this is unacceptable.

I was out to the West End and decided to make my first visit to the new Cafe y Sabor, the sister restaurant to the one located on Hull Street. Unlike its sister, this location is a stand-alone. Like the first location, it was near capacity at noon on a Saturday. Also like the first, the guests were all or nearly all Latin. What really surprised me was the number of staff that I got to know on Hull St. who were now positioned at this location. What this means to the guest is that they are graced with an experienced staff, that are incredibly welcoming to anyone who enters the establishment. I ordered to-go my traditional Saturday order, which consists simply of two Arepas de Choclo (a round, thick roll made from corn meal), with a slice of a hard white cheese in the middle, along with a parcha (passion fruit juice. The two arepas were cooked baked longer than I'm used to, but in the end, it didn't impact the taste, which is slightly sweet, complemented by the cheese, which adds a little tartness to the overall taste. Would I come here again? I'm at the Hull St. location nearly every weekend. Now that they have this location, I won't have to detour on my road home, if I happen to be near this location. In the end, there a small number of other restaurants that I like in Richmond, but there is only one that I love and it is Cafe y Sabor. Why? Because the food is really good and the staff are incredible!

One of the best meals I've ever had. The beef soup was a revelation, the flavors genuine. I'll be back to keep working through the menu!

I also noticed that we didn't receive any sauces (ie, chimichurri) for the empanadas. Not sure if I caught them off-guard or something! The pastries themselves tasted fresh and not too sweet, and I feel like the best time to go is when they're open first thing in the morning; I also feel that their items do sell out quickly. I…read moreattempted to visit a few weeks ago for dinner to try their Rotisserie chicken but unfortunately they were sold out so I recently returned again on a Friday during lunch for another attempt. When I entered I was greeted right away and was given a menu and I let them know I would like to place an order to go.  Service was great and the wait staff was very friendly and took my order immediately.  The dining room was very spacious with plenty of tables and they had bar seating available. While I waited for my food I decided to walk over to the bakery that was attached to the restaurant. The bakery sells a bunch of different Colombian/Spanish baked goods, snacks and frozen items. They also had a section setup similar to a gift shop that had purses, hats, clothing and souvenirs that you would mostly find if you were in Columbia which I found to be a nice and unique addition.  I ordered the half rotisserie chicken with coconut rice, fried cassava, and sugar cane juice with lime To-go. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the quality of my meal. My chicken lacked flavor and tasted as though it had been reheated rather than freshly prepared. The wing was so dry and dehydrated that it was inedible; only the leg and thigh were moist. Additionally, the coconut rice was significantly undercooked and excessively sweet, to the point that I could not eat it. The fried cassava was served in very large pieces that remained undercooked. The Sugar cane juice was a dark brown color and had a sour taste, suggesting it was not fresh.  Fresh sugarcane juice should be a greenish- yellow color and only turns brown after it oxidizes which changes the quality and is not what I expected.  I have heard great things about this restaurant and hope my experience is not the norm. While I am interested in other menu items, I am currently hesitant about when I might return.
