It is pretty close to the Asian market, Lotte. Plenty of seats to choose from. Staffs were super friendly and made sure that we were taken care of. The menu provides a lot of options and I can already tell that we'll be coming back here to try their lunch. We came here for a brunch date instead of a later date. I got their Mocha coffee and my husband got their Latte coffee. BOTH were delicious! I don't remember the order that we hand (since 2 months have passed) but I know the food came out pretty quick and def had their presentation of the dish. Cafe' Sabor is one of my favorite cafe's. They have the freshest food. My go quick snack is the chicharonnes, tostones, and guacamole. I also love their steak dishes and cheese breads. We came to Cafe y Sabor with friends looking for an experience we don't have everyday, and we weren't disappointed. While the location and interior is unassuming, we were met with friendly service from staff who wanted to make sure we had the best experience possible. They walked us through the menu, answered questions, and provided recommendations that were spot on. I ended up getting a mocha and the personal sized Picada. The dish consisted of multiple cuts of meat including steak, pork belly, and chicken. Everything was seasoned well and utterly delicious. The price was just around $22 - and was absolutely worth it given the three meals I was able to make out of it. The coffee ordered was nothing to write home about, but it did the job. Long wait for drier than leather arepas. Like cardboard has probably a better taste. U can tell they dont care about what they put on the plate or how they do it. This was a delightful surprise while on a business trip to Richmond in early March 2025. It's an unassuming spot that is easy to miss from the highway. But the location is very convenient to folks staying at hotels on or near Glenside Drive (about a 5 minute drive away). Lots of pluses! Amazing cappuccinos with 100% Columbian coffee? Check. Friendly staff that go out of their way to help you choose a pastry? Check. A clean restaurant with pleasant decor? Check. A free sample of "Pan de Bobos" for first-time visitors? Check. During this "grab-n-go" stop, I did not have time to sample their regular dishes, but if the superb Colombian coffee is any indication of the quality of their desserts or main entrees, I will definitely come back. I was out to the West End and decided to make my first visit to the new Cafe y Sabor, the sister restaurant to the one located on Hull Street. Unlike its sister, this location is a stand-alone. Like the first location, it was near capacity at noon on a Saturday. Also like the first, the guests were all or nearly all Latin. What really surprised me was the number of staff that I got to know on Hull St. who were now positioned at this location. What this means to the guest is that they are graced with an experienced staff, that are incredibly welcoming to anyone who enters the establishment. I ordered to-go my traditional Saturday order, which consists simply of two Arepas de Choclo (a round, thick roll made from corn meal), with a slice of a hard white cheese in the middle, along with a parcha (passion fruit juice. The two arepas were cooked baked longer than I'm used to, but in the end, it didn't impact the taste, which is slightly sweet, complemented by the cheese, which adds a little tartness to the overall taste. Would I come here again? I'm at the Hull St. location nearly every weekend. Now that they have this location, I won't have to detour on my road home, if I happen to be near this location. In the end, there a small number of other restaurants that I like in Richmond, but there is only one that I love and it is Cafe y Sabor. Why? Because the food is really good and the staff are incredible! read more

1st time here as I just moved to the area. As a first timer, they offered a serving of their cheese bread which was soo good- i would buy those. Staff was friendly and my food didnt take long. My meal was the skirt steak with shrimp, side of cabbage and beans. The steak and shrimp were seasoned to literal perfection and i was pleased that the skirt steak was cooked to my specifications of medium well- most places just cook up the skirt well done since its thin. The cabbage was acidic with cilantro.. almost like a Salvadoran curtido- I'm definitely getting that again. Beans were standard. The owners are Christian, and their motto says it all: "A little coffee and a whole lot of Jesus." Their coffee truly stood out as some of the best I've had. The beans are roasted and ground on site, and you can taste the freshness in every sip. While most of the servers primarily speak Spanish, my Spanish-speaking friend helped order for me, and the service was warm and attentive. As a special touch, they offer a complimentary serving of Pan de Bono to first-time guests. Let me tell you--wow. It was soft, cheesy, and unforgettable. The cornbread was another standout, incredibly moist and flavorful. It has that Columbian "je ne sais quoi" - miles above the typical "croissant & coffee" houses. Sorry no shade to other coffee joints but srsly it's really good. Ive never been to Columbia but I swear after a sip of their coffee, I can hear Columbian music in my head. My favorite dish here is the liver, chitterlings and steak dish.
