5 Stars for the food alone. Not a decorated interior, but still clean. The Staff was very kind and the prices were more than fair. There was plenty of seating if you were going with friends. We got the mixed pupusas, asada tacos, and an extra side of rice and beans. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the slaw that came with the pupusas. The tacos were the authentic style I craved for a while. Looking forward to going back and trying new things. We looked around at the market after Dinner; they also had a great selection with fair prices.

If you haven't tried their food, you're missing out on this hidden gem!! I finally got a chance to check this place out after driving by multiple multiple times. This is one of those hole in the wall places so you know its delicious! Behind the grocery store they have a little restaurant area where you can dine in or get take out. My partner and I were craving some pupusas so we got 1 one kind. Not only did they come out with gooey cheese but also super soft and chewy. My favorite was the pork and cheese because the meat was so flavorful. The cheese and loroco (a type of flower) was also solid. It tasted kinda like a slightly sweet but also seasoned broccoli florets to me. The gordita lengua was also delicious! I haven't had a quality gordita for years now and their was crispy and packed with chewy, well-seasoned lengua pieces. I wish they gave me more lettuce but the combination of the fried tortilla, meat, veggies, sour cream, and salsa was perfecto! Their salsa also had just the right spice kick - aka went well with everything I put it on! Got to try some of my partner's beef burrito and it was so flavorful and seasoned nicely! I appreciated their of meat to cheese to beans/rice ratio! Staff were super nice/smiley and patient with us. Its not the most pretty/sanitary place but the food sure is yummy! The store also sell lots of cool things and we were able to find some Latino/Mexican snacks from our childhood. They have a mini-parking lot too which was quite convenient. Hands down would come back for their food!

Steak taco, rice, homemade salsas, delicious Mexican beer.

My Latina friend took me here telling me it's one of the most authentic tasting places she has found in Richmond. Papusas were 10/10 and the carne asada tacos were so fresh and had incredible flavor. Traditional style with cilantro, white onion and avocad kn for. Tortilla. Served with a verse salsa that had a little kick to it! Will definitely come back and try something else. J saw some soup dishes on the menu that I want to try, but I was craving tacos! Everything is very reasonably priced !! And very friendly staff.

This tidy little Latino market carries many Hispanic, Mexican and South American products. Being of Cuban descent, I frequently head to this site for Goya products, including rice, black beans, plantains, Adobo spices, coffee, Maria cookies, fresh fruits and veggies, tomato items, empanada shells and my "never be without" Mojo Criollo Goya marinade. This marinade truly is the spice of life and I use it in many of my recipes! You will also find baked goods, household items, and sundries at this store. There's a deli/butcher in the back and a frozen food section. There's also a small restaurant and pupuseria serving Latin fare, from Cuban sandwiches to tacos to tostones to tamales to yucca to soups/sides and more. They serve Cuban coffee, horchata, Latin sodas, and other drinks and some tempting desserts, like flan and tres leches cake. For an inexpensive, quick bite in a casual, no nonsense eatery with lots of festive atmosphere, you've gotta try Cielito Lindo, it really is "a slice of heaven". And not to worry if you don't speak Spanish, some of the folks there speak English. ¡Provecho!

Wow! I've never in my life come back to change my review, but this warranted it…read more Our last visit was so wonderful, we made a special trip from the Southside for dinner. When we got to the parking lot a little before 8 tonight, we were worried because the entire parking lot was full. The cars must have been for someone else because when we went in, there were only customers in 2 booths. There were several employees standing in the corner in the back that saw us come in, so we took a booth thinking they would be with us in a minute. BOY WERE WE WRONG! There were two women I assume were waitresses there. One stayed in the back, which I am thankful for, because the girls at Hooters wear more clothing than she had on. The other walked by us to another customers table, walked back to the kitchen, came back with a to go box for the customer, walked back by us to resume conversation with the other people standing there, a FIFTH PASS to go back to that table and pick up plates, back by us to the kitchen, back to the table to pick up glasses, back to the kitchen with the dirty glasses, and yes, another pass to go wipe down the table. In case you are counting, as I started to after the 4th pass, that is TEN TIMES THE WAITRESS WALKED BY US AND IGNORED THE FACT WE WERE THERE! No one ever acknowledged we were sitting there even though at least three people saw us come in and sit down. After 10 minutes, we got up and left. As we had taken a booth across from the bar it was a long walk to the door and yet no one said anything. I could not believe how we were (or weren't) treated. If tonight was any indication of normal business, I understand why in a very busy area and a full parking lot, we were only the third customers....

I am very disappointed! I ordered the fajitas texana, my jalapeno was missing, I had no pico de gayo, and there was barely any chicken, beef, onions, and peppers. The place was empty, there is no reason that my order should have been so messed up.

I still didn't know what my topping options were for them. Luckily after looking at the menu, their website, Yelp, and google images I was finally able to figure out what I wanted (too much work lol). I landed on the Pabellon Arepa which had shredded beef, black beans, cheese and plantains.... They deffffffffff needed to strain them black beans a lot more and distribute the ingredients more because it wasn't just messy, it was atomic bomb messy. I needed 100 napkins and a knife and fork to get through it. It was pretty tasty though! My hubs got the pulled pork with avocado, def not as messy and it was pretty good. We also got the cheese sticks appetizer, I would say this was just okay. It was their take on mozzarella sticks essentially. My friend ordered the Cachapas Richmonder.... It was SO SO GOOD! We all took a bite and were wowed by how good it was! She definitely won in the food ordering. I would get that next time and highly recommend it to anyone! Overall it was really good! We were all satisfied!
